Assassination of John F. Kennedy

The life of one of our presidents was taken and the only cost was $19.95. Lee Harvey Oswald only spent $19.95 on the gun that was used to assassinate John F. Kennedy. One of the most important and protected people in the world was killed only at the price of a gun that Oswald used to do it. Why did a man named Lee Harvey Oswald kill John F. Kennedy.

January 20, 1961. President John F. Kennedy is sworn in as the president of the United States of America. During his Presidency Kennedy tried his best to make America a better place. The Dallas Morning News put the route the president was going to take in the news. Which made it very easy for Oswald to plan out his assassination. The president arrives at his hotel at 11:50pm. The next day Kennedy delivers a couple of speeches to the people of texas and then heads back to his hotel that night. November 22 the motorcade turns down main street on its drive thru dallas. There are alot of people lining down the side of the streets as the president drives by. At 12:30 pm the president is shot along with governor colley. Colley ends up surviving but John F. Kennedy is pronounced dead at 1:00pm.

Police find the rifle and bullets used to assassinate president Kennedy. Police find and capture Lee H. Oswald. He was found and captured after struggling in a theatre. Oswald is put on trial and convicted for the assassination of president Kennedy. But before he can be sent to prison But he is shot and killed by Jack Ruby before he makes it. The line to president Kennedy’s visitation was three miles long and 250,000 people would visit his body. President Kennedy's wife and brother light the eternal flame in recognition to the President.

The assassination of John F. Kennedy was a very tragic and devastating time for america. Until then there was never a live murder on television. America lost a leader and a good man.
