Capital punishment is used when there is a serious crime that has been committed. There are different methods of capital punishment and those are, lethal injection, electrocution, gas chamber, hanging, and firing squad. Florida “allows prisoners to choose between lethal injection and electrocution” (Death Penalty Info). In this specific case the death penalty was discussed very often. In California if a person is charged for a double murder they can get the death penalty. It may not happen to every person who commits a double-murder but it can happen. In this case it the death penalty would either be by lethal injection or by gas. While looking at this case there were different reasons as to why Simpson would not be a good candidate for capital punishment. According to Seth Mydans, “one reason, the experts say, is that Mr. Simpson does not have a long criminal record; another is that execution is generally not sought for the killing of a spouse” (Maydans). This argument went back and fourth in trial and the final decision was to not seek the death penalty. When talking about the death penalty there are pros and cons. Some positive things about the death penalty is that is shows people that your actions come with consequences and that it helps people to know that the person who committed the crime will no longer be able to hurt anyone ever again. It gives closure
Jodi Arias was born in Salinas, California where she grew up with both her parents and four siblings. She was known as the “good girl” when she was in high school, and nothing seemed the slight bit off about her. “She told the TV show ‘48 Hours’ that her childhood was “almost ideal,” ABC reported (Fuchs, 2015). Arias was aspiring photography when she dropped out of high school as a junior. While in her twenties she worked a handful of dead end jobs and dated carelessly, cycling between numerous relationships with cheating boyfriends. She eventually started working for a company known as LegalShield, a sales force commission company known for “working from home” (Fuchs, 2015). It was through her job with LegalShield that

Few trials have been polarized to the extent that the Jodi Arias murder trial has. There are several factors set out in determining the proper punishment in a case like this, but does this trial meet all the criteria? There is a lot of evidence to go over in respect to the Jodi Arias trial and much of it is very compelling, but do people understand the difference between a woman guilty of murder and a woman who is legally eligible for the death penalty. Many people do not recognize the boundaries between legal and personal belief when it comes to murder trials. People tend to have a preconceived notion of the crime committed and their own ideas regarding the death penalty, but not many people take into account the specifics that must be met in order to enforce a law. So the question now remains; did Jodi Arias commit a murder that is eligible for the death penalty? More importantly, should Jodi Arias receive the death penalty based on the criteria? Jodi Arias should receive the death penalty because she has been convicted of murder, and also because the murder fits all criteria set forth by the state of Arizona in regards to being eligible for the death penalty.
Jodi Arias should receive the death penalty for violently murdering Travis Alexander. Arias planned on murdering Alexander when she traveled to Arizona. Arias brutally murdered a man who did not want to be in a relationship with her and then Arias lied about it. Alexander’s family and friends would like to see her receive the death penalty. Arias also said she would like the death penalty in an interview. Arias has been manipulative and deceiving through the trial and she made statements that were defamatory to Alexander’s character. She is not remorseful for what she has done.
Whitney Houston to most was a very amazing and talented person who allowed life and its mishaps break her down. As a young girl she grew up in the church where she felt like it was a sign from God that she should be singing. Freud believes that religion is an illusion, an attempt to gain control over the external world. In his eyes saying that anything is a sign from God depends on how you vision life. There were times in her life where she would produce more music just to get thru the thing that she would be going through. She would use her music as a defense mechanism to get away from all of the abuse, problems with her marriage, neglect, and drugs. Defense mechanisms are ways to distort reality to reduce anxiety: Rationalization is giving a positive reason to a stressor and regression is withdrawing from reality and going to pastime.

Avril Lavigne was born on September 27, 1984 in a 5,000 population town called Napanee, which is located in Ontario, Canada. As the middle child, she always tried to grab the attention when it wasn't on her.
Prosecutors found that she murdered him in a jealous rage because he wanted to break up the relationship. Arias was found guilty for the murder and she now has to be in prison for life. She shot alexander and stabbed him thirty times; they found alexander in the shower dead with hid throat cut open. Arias told the judge she wanted the death penalty but the judge refused to listen to her. She said alexander tried to attack her in self-defense but she quickly stabbed him. My personal view on this population is that the inmate serving life in prison shouldn’t have too many special services, especially to those who murder. The offender murdered someone and they should pay for that. Most of the inmates serving life without parole didn’t murder, some robbed, and some sexually assaulted other people. Inmates serving life for robbing should be treated better than the ones who murdered or the one who raped someone. Some facilities treat the prisoners that murdered or raped someone just life the other prisoners, the inmate that committed murder or sexually assaulted should not be treated as if what they did is
