Freddie Mercury(piano/vocals), Jimi Hendrix(lead guitar), Tommy Lee(drummer), John Deacon(bass),Gregg Rolie(vocals/keyboard), produced by Herbie Herbert! The best band that could exist in my opinion, only the best are a part of this band of legends. While i’m using some of my personal favorites i’ve also picked some of the best there is. Freddie Mercury was a part of the band Queen that produced the popular song “Bohemian Rhapsody” which is enjoyed to this day even by some of the younger groups showing the quality of their music. Jimi Hendrix, one of the most creative and voted the best guitarist of all time, would play the lead guitar because of his exceptional skill and versatility. Tommy Lee also one of the most loved drummers, one of his
With Chas as his partner in crime, or manager, Hendrix became known world wide. He began his very first tour with his band Jimmy James And The Blue Flames. Chas and Hendrix worked very hard that year and finally released their first Album in the late 1966 early 1967 titled Are You Experienced? This album included the famous tracks Hey Jude and Purple Haze. During mid 1967, Hendrix did something that took the world by surprise. While performing at the Monterey International Pop Festival in 1967 he set his favorite guitar on fire. When later asked about why he did so, Hendrix simply
Their work encompassed many genres into one. The band’s musical influences are comprised of jazz, rock, blues, bluegrass, folk, and country. Also, the band began to gain popularity during the movement of psychedelia. Psychedelic elements can be heard in almost all their albums. The band consisted of many different members with different musical backgrounds. Ron McKernan was an organist who loved the blues where Phil Lesh had very formal training in classical music. Bill Kreutzmann, the drummer for the Dead, had a history of playing R&B and jazz. Though the band continues to influence artists to this day, other bands helped shape and inspire their sound. The Grateful Dead first decided to go electric and create a rawer sound after seeing the Lovin’ Spoonful live in New York. They were making music at the same time as other extremely successful musicians like the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, and Pink
The Dave Matthews Band has been a musical power house for years. They have meshed together almost every type of music together to create their extremely unique sounds and attractiveness towards their music. Dave Matthews, lead singer and guitarist from South Africa has put together a band that no one will ever be able to create again. Dave picked four extremely talented and unique sounding men to join his band and together they have created some amazing music. The members of the band include Stefan Lessard on bass, Boyd Tinsley on violin, Leroi Moore on saxophone and one of the best drummers in the world, Carter Beauford. Together these men will one day leave behind a similar reputation as one of the all time greatest "jam" bands of time.
Stevie Wonder is one of the country’s most influential and celebrated pop/R&B artists of the past half-century. He has produced a cumulative 28 albums that span from his earliest years at Motown records to present day. While his desire and ability to produce music has been somewhat of a constant for the better part of five decades, Wonder’s content and sound has been anything but. Wonder overcame a transition in the latter part of the 1960’s that changed the outlook and scope of his career. As Little Stevie Wonder dropped the “Little” in his name, he gained a sense of social awareness that allowed him to experiment with both his sound and lyrical content. Ultimately, Stevie Wonder’s change in musical sound from the late 1960’s to 1970’s can

“Is this light on,” ponders Wait Until Dark blind leading lady Susy Hendrix, as she attempts to figure out while a strange man opens the blinds, even though, indeed, the lights in the Hendrix household are on. Susy Hendrix is blind, what could possibly give her the slightest intuition that the the lights would be on; because she is has perception. She holds the capability of heightened senses, feelings, and a highly intelligent, cunning mind that ultimately save her life at the end of the play. In October of 2015, I had the opportunity to play and perform as Susy Hendrix in my high school’s production of Wait Until Dark. Playing Susy provided me with more than another show to add on my resume, but a well grasped view of me as a person and performer. She taught me about trusting and believing in myself and most importantly overcoming any disability or obstacle no matter what the odds.
Jimmy Page played guitar, Robert Plant was the vocalist, John Paul Jones played bass guitar and the keyboard, and John Bonham beat the drums. The group had the complete set up for a band right off the start. They produced their first record in thirty hours to complete their deal with the old Yardbirds. They toured Scandinavia for awhile also to complete their obligations to the Yardbirds.
Through out history, music has played a big role. It has let people communicate and others release their creative minds. Throughout the life of music, instruments have made it happen. The guitar has become one of the most popular of all instruments. In fact, almost every band heard on the radio has a lead guitar accompanying the vocals. Thanks to the greats like B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, Andres Segovia, and Eric Clapton the guitar has been made the lead instrument in much of music. With contributions from each one of these legendary players, the guitar is used in a variety of styles; heavy metal to classical.

A ramblin’ man, a maverick, an Outlaw. Undeniably, Waylon Jennings was an artist who broke boundaries and refused to be confined by the restrictions that others imposed upon him. He created a style of music that was uniquely his, during a time when many artists bent under the weight of the Nashville Sound. From his humble beginnings on regional Texas radio to his acquisition of the award of the Country Music Association’s Male Vocalist of the Year, Jennings stayed true to himself and his musical style. He was the ultimate maverick of country music.
The Beatles started out with 3 original members; John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison. During their first few years as a band, they constantly change their lineup and eventually became just 3 guitarists, they proved that they were the best musically and the best with the group personality wise. (All Music) It took a while for the band to find the best matches for the band, they eventually found everyone they needed. Stuart Sutcliffe was a friend of John’s, they both attended the same art college and Stu knew how to play the bass, he soon became their new bass player. Finding a drummer was a challenge however with many people not fitting what the band really needed, that was until Pete Best auditioned for the band in the summer of 1960. Pete was what the band needed at the time and he became their new drummer. (All Music) In the beginning of The Beatles career, they performed in their local Cavern Clu...
Rod Stewart had arguably one of the best rock albums of the seventies with ‘Every Picture Tells a Story’. Mandolin Wind, Reason to Believe, and of course, Maggie Mae. Now Rod Stewart puts out albums filled with American Standards and wears a tuxedo. I get it, people changes over the years, they evolve, and they slow down. Not that I was ever a rock star, but I have grown to value the safety that comes with routine. My friend Phil (Blind Dog) challenged that routine the other day when he called and asked me what I was doing that night (Thursday). The usual, I thought: dinner, exercise, T.V., scotch.
Louis Comfort Tiffany is one of America’s most acclaimed artists that began his career as a painter working under the influence of George Inness and Samuel Colman. Although he did not completely give up painting beginning in the late 1870s he did set his attention towards decorative arts and interiors.
The band was officially formed in 1962, having six original members. Mick Jagger was lead vocals and also played the harmonica. Jagger’s signature look has always been his lips, but they were often criticized. Keith Richards played the guitar and also sang. Charlie Watts was on drums, and Brian Jones played the guitar, harmonica, sitar, and sang. Two less popular members were I...
