And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. John 6:35
I can remember one particular summer night in 1962, during a "VBS or Vacation Bible School" that our church was holding. The main teacher, Sister Simecatt was energetic and filled with enthusiasm for each child that attended the two week event.
She taught us using chalk board stories, puppets and a variety of methods to teach us children about how Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. It wasn't until the very last night that I accepted Jesus Christ as my very own personal Savior. And, if you knew me, you would understand how very seriously I believed that Jesus now lived within my

I waited a while... but he never came. So I went back and explained to Jesus (more than praying to him) why we really needed bread. Again I went to the living room window and waited... the truck never came. This was the very first time that I couldn't understand why Jesus didn't answer my prayer and I remember the deep sadness I had felt.
Soon after my mom asked me if I wanted to get the mail for her. This was a chore that I really enjoyed so out I ran to the mail box. I remember standing on tippy toes to open the little metal door... and when I did... THERE IT WAS... A LOAF OF BREAD... NOT JUST ANY BREAD EITHER.... IT WAS "WONDER BREAD." Jesus had sent my Wonder Bread and until then... it was the best bread I had ever tasted!
As a child, I learned a very valuable lesson... that I have had to recall many times in my teen years and as an adult. Jesus does answer our prayers... but He does it in His own way... and I learned not to question how or when He will answer my prayers... I need to just trust that He will. I will also tell you He has never failed me... when the answers to my prayers don't come right away... or don't come as I expect them too... I trust that Jesus knows what is the best way to meet my
On September 4, 1958, Dollree Mapp’s was convicted in the Cuyahoga County Ohio Court of Common Pleas (Mapp v. Ohio - 367 U.S. 643 (1961)). On March 29, 1961, Dollree Mapp v. Ohio was brought before the Supreme Court of the United States after an incident with local Ohio law enforcement and a search of Dollree Mapp 's home (Mapp v. Ohio 367 U.S. 643 (1961)). In the Bill of Rights, the Fourth Amendment protects and prohibits all persons from unreasonable searches and seizures. However, can evidence obtained through a search that was in violation of a person’s Fourth Amendment rights still be admitted in a state criminal proceeding? This is the issue that will be thoroughly examined in the landmark case of Dollree Mapp v. the State of Ohio (henceforth
Jay's Journal is an interesting book written by Jay. The story is about Jay and how he was led into witchcraft and the occult and using drugs by his girlfriend and others. The author tells how Jay was led into all of this, and it also tells how he got his two best friends into using the same stuff and into the occult also known as the O. The author describes how he learned that the human race was afraid of mind over matter techniques and learned how to use them himself. He was able to levitate small objects and see peoples auwa and aura. This is a great book because it helps some people that deal with the same problems to see what might happen if they choose to follow the same path. I really liked this book because it might help people deal with this type of stuff, it was written in a real person's journal and described what led to his death, and I like how it says what happened every day of his life.

Journal Entry #1 Wiesel says this because he wants to keep the Holocaust from happening again. He probably meant that it is selfish to keep something to yourself when it is important and you can prevent it from happening. When he was being tortured, the other citizens did nothing to help. Maybe he just wants to make up for what others did not do for him. I agree and disagree with his statement.
It is possible to write on the life of Jesus in a topical manner. This paper will be divided into three parts. In the first part of the paper, I will discuss about the nature of a gospel, Johns views vs. the Synoptic, whether or not the writers of the gospels were eyewitnesses and how they used written sources and also about what is Q source and how Mathew and Luke were similar when it came to their sources; how the old testament stories (Moses, Samuel, Elijah) used to interpret Jesus and finally whether or not Sermon on the Mount happened. In the second part of my paper, I will talk about Jesses birth and childhood, the miracles, his resurrection and also the actions Jesus did relating to curing people, spirits and how they are these interpreted: prophet, magician, madman compare Saul and Elijah. In the final part of the paper, I will discuss about what Jesus spoke about the Kingdom of God vs. the kingdom of the Romans and what he meant by the end of the world and also the reason behind the Romans executing him. My sources for this paper will be the New Jerusalem Bible (Gospels of John, Mark, Matthew and Luke) and lecture notes from Professor Trumbach.
When I was little, me and my family were sitting in the living room and watching T.V. and the next thing we hear is the doorbell. When my mom opened the door our family friend Mary, told my mom that she had dropped her keys in the dumpster and needed me and my

Prayer is so powerful that we don’t even realise what it can do for others and our own lives. The physical world is always effected by what’s happening in the spiritual world first so prayer is the place to go!
In fact, He assured them that He rewarded those who followed His plan for revival. Because they humbly recognized their need in prayer and sought restitution through seeking God and repenting of their sins, God promised that he always heard their prayers. God never turned a deaf ear to their prayers, but listened tenderly to His children as they sought Him. In addition, He promised to forgive them of their sins as they repented. The last promise assured His beloved children that God would heal their land if they sought him fully.
A fundamental concept of the Christian faith is prayer, the ability to pray, the act of praying, the type of prayers that are said, and how these prayers are said. One of, if not the most important prayers in all of Christianity is the Lord’s Prayer. Victoria Osteen, husband of renown preacher Joel Osteen, in a post on beliefnet, had some interesting points to make on prayer itself. Osteen believes in asking for very materialistic things in prayer, while others do not. Mrs. Osteen’s thoughts can be used as a lens to look at prayer and how it relates to the Lord’s Prayer.
Introduction There is nothing that is more difficult as a Christian discipline than prayer. Many, if not most Christians struggle with prayer. Either Christians are not satisfied with their prayer life because they do not pray as often as they like, or, they are dissatisfied because it seems as if their prayers are not being answered. There are Christians who feel that prayer is a burden that cannot be overcome no matter how much prayer is offered to God.
Once upon a time there was a lost girl who was very hungry for the word of God, but was lost in a world of false nourishment that not only did not nourish, but failed to offer her a spiritually healthy lifestyle. Goldilost walked through the streets Livermore in search of not only the word of God but a loving close relationship with Christ that could sustain her hunger indefinitely. “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me” (John 6: 54-7,
*If you've been hurt in the past by people dont assume that you will always be hurt, open your heart to someone who you can trust and you will find true love, dont deny yourself of that feeling*
During my seventh grade year, my church went to a youth rally at a local church on weekend. Because of this rally and the message it sent, I realized and wanted to give my life to Jesus through baptism. It was awesome, I got home as a young teenager and actually talked to my mom about what it really means to be a Christian and to pick up your cross and follow him. So that very next weekend, my dad baptized me in front of the whole church on Sunday morning. It was an awesome feeling knowing that because of Jesus’ grace and mercy, I will be with him one day and spend eternity with him. Although I was on top of the world at this point, I still didn’t know fully what I had gotten into. So the next few years, I live the typical Christian life. I was trying to be the perfect person by doing the right stuff, I would try not to cuss, I would try to wear as many WWJD bracelets as I could so that I wouldn’t have to talk to them about Christ and they could just see it on my wrist, I would not join in on conversations with my friends that I knew were not right, I was just living life on cruise control.
Every prayer that every person has ever made has been heard by God. He hears everything and He sees everything. If our prayer, or prayers, has not been yet answered, it is important that we do not lose faith or stop believing that He will help and answer our prayers because He will. God has special timing for everything and when the timing is right, your prayer or prayers will be answered. Like they say, “God works in mysterious ways.” Trusting in Him and believing in Him is pivotal.
