Jesus Christ became human and walked with men and women. The Creator of heaven and earth became a creature and entered the creation that he made into existence. God made himself known so humanity could have the most basic understanding of who he was and Christ there would be no Christianity. Jesus taught mankind a high view of Scripture and inspired his followers and others to uphold it as God’s Word. (A Starting Point for Wisdom by Jason Hiles and Anna Faith
The life of Jesus is told in the four gospels of the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. They speak of His virgin birth, His ministry and miracles, His death, and His resurrection. Jesus was born into humanity through Mary but was conceived without a human father (Matthew 1:18) making Him fully man and fully God. He was called the Son of God, (1 John 5:20), the second person of the Holy Trinity. Jesus taught about the kingdom of God and how we are to love everyone, even our enemies (Merrick, 2015). Jesus was the only human to live a sinless life so He was able to fulfill His purpose on earth to provide a way for man’s relationship with God to be restored. “In Jesus’ life, one beholds not merely the lengths to which God will go to save humanity, but the nature of the wisdom, love, and the power of God who saves.” (Merrick, 2015) God provided a plan so man could be redeemed and
Jesus, the son of God, our lord and savior who died on the cross for our sins and resurrected once again. God came to Mary and told her how she would be the mother and Joseph, the father of Jesus Christ. God gave her instruction to go to Bethlehem to birth the baby boy and on the date of which Jesus would be born. God also told the three wise men to follow the North Star and they will see the birthing of Jesus Christ. Jesus was born on December 25 from the virgin Mary. Jesus is the central figure of Christianity. Every Sunday we celebrate the last supper of Jesus through communion. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ states, “The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?” (I Cor. 10-16) Christianity is a religion that was established long time ago, but it was not the first religion. There are many other religions in which they have a figure that stands out, just like Jesus Christ. To be in fact there were religions that had people who were similar to Jesus Christ. Deities like Hercules, Buddha, and Attis are all similar to the savior Jesus Christ. Dionysus, Tammuz, Osiris, and Horus all are similar to Jesus Christ also. These deities happen to be real close in relation to the Jesus Christ as we know today.
, He had no qualms about telling His opponents that He was the son of God (John 10:36 TLB [The Living Bible]), the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6), and that anyone who had seen Him, had seen the father (John 14:9). Due to the nature of these statements, it is understandable that some assumed that He was a raving lunatic and a liar; however, none of these assumptions could be supported by His day-to-day activities. Additionally, in spite of all threats of intimidation, and even though He was given every chance, He never denied His claim to be God. Therefore, Christians believe that Jesus was God in human form. Next, His life matters because of how He lived. His manner of living provided for us, a model by which we can compare our own
Born into the people of Israel, Jesus gathered a small group of followers living and working with them until his ascension to heaven. From these few, the Christian faith spread to other Jews in Israel and the further reaches of the Roman Empire, including parts of southern Europe and Southwest Asia. As Christianity was later adopted by the Roman Empire, much of Europe became the focus of conquest for Roman Christianity, though much of this was due in part to the fall of Western Rome.
Christianity was first brought about by Jesus, who preached he was the son of God. After Jesus was hung on the cross and then resurrected one of his apostles, Paul, started the church. It first became popular in Jerusalem, and then continued to spread throughout the rest of the Middle-East, eventually reaching ...
Jesus is said to have been born around 4-6 BC. When Jesus was 30 he began his ministry. Many of the reasons that his religion succeeded were that it treated everyone equally promised eternal life and was centered on on your personal relationship with God. Jesus¹ teachings included love for God, neighbors, enemies and yourself. The ten commandments and the basic foundation of Judaism was included in his teachings as Jesus was born a Jew.
Jesus was raised under Judaism and sternly believed in the practices and Jewish customs. In Luke 2:41-52, Luke reveals that Jesus went missing one time from his parents and was later found teaching in his town’s temple. For me, this story shows that from the beginning Jesus was a man of faith with the great ability of explaining and preaching God’s word. I honestly believe Jesus was placed on this earth to teach us unconditional and infinite devotion to God. He lived exactly as humans did. He experienced the same trials and tribulations, the same pains and pleasures of man, and, more importantly, he died to save us from our sins and show what true faith really is. His strength and power lies in his ability to not cave in to worldly urges and to exhibit self control the way God wanted it to be by never reacting with sin.
Each religion believes in a higher being than any human. In the Catholic religion we believe in God. There are three divine persons in one being whom we perceive as God. We give God this recognition because He created all things including the covenant in which humans received their salvation. In the book On the Incarnation by Saint Athanasius many challenges of why God is the only God are confronted. It is justified that God is the one and only God through examples, parables and scripture. The covenant in which God came to the Earth in human form as Jesus Christ to bring salvation to all His people is known as the Incarnation and was unquestionably accomplished through Jesus Christ.
It developed as a minor sect of Judaism that developed more, after the birth of Christ. After the birth of Christ nothing is known about him, but around the age of 30 Jesus reemerges and received the blessing of God, believing himself to be the long-awaited Savior who would usher in God 's kingdom on earth (Sayre). Hostility mounted against Jesus, and he was ultimately crucified by the Romans. The Christian religion was born in ancient Palestine, an area of land on the eastern Mediterranean Sea, which was under Roman rule. In 324CE the Roman emperor Constantine converted to Christianity, this was a major turning point in Christian history. With his conversion, he made Christianity a legal religion of the land, persecution ceased, and thousands convert to the emperor 's faith. Christianity gradually rose in power until it encompasses the entire Eastern and Western Roman Empire. Social conditions for centuries had dealt with conflicts in the region, this allowed Christianity to develop in an environment very conducive to the spread of
Christianity is one of the world’s major religions. It’s built on the idea that Jesus Christ is the Son of God whom God sent to save mankind. Christians believe in Jesus as a leader and savior, and follow his teachings. According to Christianity, Jesus is a divine being whom a virgin mother conceived of. God made this occurrence possible. Jesus however grew and lived among humans on earth over 2000 years ago. Jesus was a Jew, he lived and died in Israel and spent his life in ministry with his disciples, teaching and spreading the word of God and the message of God’s love. Jesus is the central figure of Christianity. His contemporaries recognized the fact that he was leader. Jesus as a Christian leader had 5 basic roles: he was regarded as the messenger of God, he was to serve as a mouthpiece of God, he was to pass his message to the people whom he was sent to, he was to prepare the people on earth for the coming of the kingdom of God, and lastly to proclaim the kingdom of God and the consequences for not preparing for it.
Defense of the Humanity of Christ. Jesus Christ was without a doubt a real, living, breathing human being. His human nature is separate and distinct from His divine nature, yet unified in the person that He is. He was not God merely making himself appear as a person: He was truly human.
Jesus tells us in John 15:8, "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so will you be my disciple". That's the way God sees us, as fruitful! We all have the ability to be fruitful! We all can develop, grow and become who God has created us to be. By choice and decision God wants us to come into the kingdom and then grow. He didn't create people to go backwards, He created us to go forward.
was a faithful Jew and followed all the Jewish customs. Jesus was a human being.
• Jesus is the son of God, he is God in the flesh, he came into this world for two purposes, to teach us how to live on earth and because God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, Jesus. Jesus died on cross for our sins, and is sitting at God’s right hand today.
