“Well, that’s why I’m here,” I said. “I’m kind of hoping to prevent that. I need to find her and get her the hell out of Iowa. Do any of you know where she is?”
“Whatever child. Where’s Paul?” she asked as she looked around as if he was hiding behind some of the furniture.
“I thought they were still at the college! What do you mean by they can’t find her?”
"Where's the cigarettes?" she asked. We all sat there, looking dumbfounded, and wishing it were only cigarettes because the consequences for that were less severe. She stood at the door for a few minutes, staring at us with a look of complete disappointment on her face, before walking out the door, shutting it behind her.
She heard screams coming from the direction of the house. She decided to call Ray and have him meet her at the house. When Ray got to the house 2 hours later Kelly was sleeping in the back of her car. Kelly and Ray decided to enter the house; they moved very slowly and were racking their mind for an explanation. "Who will open it?" Kelly whispered.
“Well” the local detective started. “The victims name is Rhys Davidson, he’s a local and works in a pet store. 37 years old, no kids but a fiancée, Carissa Carver.”
“Well what happened last pageant? Were you just not prepared enough?” Averie asked, very confused and interested at the same time.
“It’s locked. We use the back door,” Callie cried, grasping Madge’s neck. Madge swiveled around and spied a four-foot tall planter box off to the side of the porch. She flung Callie down behind the planter box and then slipped in after, blocking Callie from view.
“What happened to you?” Mrs. Christine asked surprised, “are you the same Andrew that came here a few weeks ago?”
