I read the novel “Jane Eyre” written by Charlotte Bronte and was published on October 16, 1847. I chose this novel because I love the time period it is set in. Jane Eyre is by far my most favorite literary character of all time. In this story Miss. Eyre really has a hard childhood, but no matter what she faces she always handles herself with such grace. Jane Eyre is a great role model for young girls today. Miss Jane Eyre sets such an amazing example of how young women should handle themselves. Even though this novel was wrote many years ago the same principles still apply for young women today. A few examples of Janes character are when she was sent away to Lowood Charity School for girls. This was not a good place for girls, they are very strict and the man who runs the school does not show love or kindness to the girls. Jane was exiled when she got there and was not allowed food or water. That night young girl named Helen gave Jane bread and cheese. This was the start of a beautiful friendship. Helen passed away not long after this and Jane went on to finish her schooling and become the governess for Mr. Rockcester. …show more content…

Rockcester’s Jane faced many challenges. One of which is Mr. Rockcester himself. He can very cold and standoffish, but at the same time he can turn it around and be the most sweet and caring man you have ever meet. Mr. Rockcester and Miss fell in love, however Mr. Rockcester was still married to another women. Yet again Jane’s heart was broken. She did not throw a fit she packed her things and left without hesitation. Jane’s luck turns around when she finds out her uncle has died and left her his estate. Jane does not go and spend all her money. She gives some of it to the school her grew up in and some of it to the lawyer and his sister how took her in for a while. Jane has such a kind and giving heart. She does return to Mr. Rockcester and she helps him back to health and they get married and raise their children
