Her name is Gloria Voss The funniest day of my life was when my friends Marist and Trevelle where slamming each other. Then Marist hit Trevelle in the mouth then Trevelle chased Marist for at least two hours straight. Then Trevelle came back and then we played basketball and listen to music. But Marist didn’t come back for the rest of the day. Then Marist and trevelle was about to fight again but they just left each other alone. But Marist and Trevelle are cool now. Trevelle and I always hoop together no matter what and were friends for life. The scariest moment
Boniface Wimmer is regarded as one of the greatest missionaries of the nineteenth century. His mission was to establish a Benedictine monastery abroad in the United States to help the thousands of Catholic Germans who fled from their homeland in search of a better life. “Today, there are over thirty Abbeys and monasteries that take their root from Archabbot Boniface Wimmer, O.S.B.” With the grace of God, Boniface Wimmer succeeded. He was considered to be a “man on a mission.” His tenacious attitude aided him in spreading the mission of the Benedictine Order across the Atlantic Ocean. The Benedictines were seen not only as missionaries, but also as teachers and priests. The strong sense of bonding and connection within the community was vital to the Benedictine Order then, as it still is today.
Philippe Petit changed numerous peoples’ thoughts about the Twin Towers when he performed his high wire walk between them in 1974. Before Philippe Petit walked the high wire between the Twin Towers in 1974, people weren’t certain how they felt about the construction of the World Trade Center. After Philippe performed, people began to warm up to the idea of the towers. Philippe Petit walked the high wire between the Twin Towers on August 7, 1974. This event prompted Andrew McMahon to write the song “Platform Fire” about this event for his band, Jack’s Mannequin. This song was not a hit for the band; however, fans of Jack’s Mannequin seem to have a special place in their heart for it.
Ronald Joseph Dominique was born in Thibodaux , Louisiana,( Between New Orleans and Baton Rouge), on January 9, 1964. Thibodaux was a relatively well-sized city of about 14, 567 people. Ronald had attended Thibodaux High School and was involved in their glee club and choir, and unfortunately was a victim of sexual discrimination; Ronald was a victim of bullying where the students had accused him of homosexuality. Due to the event, as he aged he developed a sense of split- personality. One side of him would be a gentle, calm, mild -natured and friendly neighbor, and the other side of him was a cross-dressing drag queen attending homosexual bars. In fact, Ron was in the Lions Club just a few months before his arrest and his confession to the
Jacques Louis David was a french painter and artist who primarily focused his work on Neoclassicism. During the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century, David's artwork flourished in France and became well known after a while. David used several different techniques and styles of art in his time, but he mastered a style of rigorous contours, sculpted forms in his paintings, and polished surfaces. He mainly painted in the service of royalty, radical revolutionaries, and an emperor. Even though his political allegiances shifted, he kept his art techniques faithful to the principles of Neoclassicism. Jacques Louis David intrigues the viewers attention by exaggerating the actions and movement of the people displayed
In this article Winckelmann states that the good taste in art that is present in contemporary works stems from the work of the ancient Greeks. The beauty in the modern works of artists like Raphael (especially his Madonna and child with St Sixtus and St Barbara) hold such beauty, complexity of emotion, and good taste because he draws on the ideas set up by the great ancient sculptures and society in which they lived and drew inspiration from. Winckelmann categorizes the ancients greatness into two main ideas that are necessary for contemporaries to draw from in order to reach greatness: Natural beauty and noble simplicity and quiet grandeur.

They continued the advance into the Argonne while sustaining heavy losses to snipers and fortified german gun positions. The attack was successful and caught the germans off guard which was fortunate for them due to all the inexperienced soldiers. The battle fractured the individual units of their divisions and took the commanders a few days to regroup them back into their divisions. When they were back in their divisions the AEF attacked deep in the Argonne forest which proved to be an obstacle and caused the advance to be slow due to exhaustion, bad weather, combat stress and the constant resistance

It was the last Saturday in December of 1997. My brother, sister, and I were chasing after each other throughout the house. As we were running, our parents told us to come and sit down in the living room. They had to tell us something. So, we all went down stairs wondering what was going on. Once we all got down stairs, the three of us got onto the couch. Then, my mom said, “ Well…”
It happened on May 5, 2015, my sophomore year of high school. My day happened as usual. I got up, I went to school, and I got off the bus. It was hot that day, my back burned and dampened with sweat, caused by the hot Texas sun. I came in and threw my neon orange backpack down exhausted by the short walk from the bus stop to my back door. After getting inside, I grabbed my dog's leash and hooked it to her collar to drag her outside and walk her. We slowly made our way back inside after she finished taking her time and doing her business. I walked inside and checked the time displayed below the television and walked to the kitchen to fill the black kettle
On that dreaded Saturday morning when my family and I were standing in a line that seemed at least a mile long, to get an elevator up to my room. I was certain that I would hate living in the dorm. All I could see was a billion and one girls in bitchy moods because it was taking forever to move stuff in. No one seemed friendly and I could just imagine all the girls with terrible attitudes, myself included, that day having to live together and never really getting a break from each other. I was ready to turn around and go home at any second. All I would have had to hear was "let's go" and I would have been out of there. After many trips to and from the car and countless m...
It was a friday in september of in 2008, that day we went to perkins for lunch at the beginning of the day. When we go to Perkins my family loves to get pie´s for us to eat when we go there, but I hate pie´s so i just got a hamburger at 9:00am. My dad thinks I am weird for eating that at the time, but I still do it to this day. Then we went to the mall to get me a cowboy´s jersey because it was getting close to my birthday. I got a Emmitt Smith jersey because he was my favorite player at the time. We also had to go to go get eye paint for the high school football game we were going to later that night.
Throughout life I have had many memorable events. The memorable times in my life vary from being the worst times in my life and some being the best, either way they have become milestones that will be remembered forever. The best day of my life was definitely the day that I received my drivers’ license. This day is one of the most memorable because of the feelings I had when I received it, the opportunities that were opened up for me and the long lasting benefits that I received from it that still exist today.
