JFK Assassination

“One of you guys did it”, was said by Robert Kennedy. This is what was remarked around noon November 22, 1963 in Dallas Texas.

The murder of ex-president Kennedy has to be one of the most memorable assassinations in us history. According to a recent survey taken, 84 percent of Crane High School students/staff knew that president Kennedy was assassinated. From this survey I can use this information and estimate that this also close to the United State percentage of knowing Kennedy was assassinated.

When did this situation happen? President Kennedy, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, was flying to Love Field, Dallas, Tex around 11:40 am on Friday, November 22, 1963. His initial reasoning for being in Fort Worth/ Dallas area was because the day

before, Thursday morning, he flew from the White House to San Antonio to join the vice president, Lyndon B. Johnson for an important party. During this time the President also dedicated new facilities for researching at the U.S Air Force School Aerospace Medicine. Later that day, November 21, 1963, the president flew to fort worth where he spent the night. On the next day, November 22, 1963, the president spoke at a large gather around breakfast time. The plans for Friday were to have a motorcade through the downtown area of Dallas. Then have a luncheon or lunch, fly to Austin, and have a reception at the Democratic fundraising dinner. Sadly, he only got to do one thing the motorcade and sadly he was killed. The Motorcade began around 11:50 a.m shortly after leaving Love Field. The vehicle went through residential neighborhoods and made stops for the greeting crowds. With every stop the Secret service agents would get closer to secure/protect the President and his wife. Eventually at the speed of 11 miles per hour they had arrived to the South West Elm Street. A few seconds later a secret service agent had announced that the president would arrive to the destination in 5 minutes. Only a few seconds had passed when shots were fired. It is said that the president moved his hand to his neck as he appeared to be stiffen and leaned forward. After this Kennedy fell to the left onto, Mrs.Kennedy, his wife.
What was the aftermath? Only a few seconds had passed by and many agents ran towards the vehicle to protect the president and his wife. The motorcade gained speed and an agent had informed that a hospital was needed. The closest was Parkland Memorial Hospital, which was only 4 miles away. A team of physicians were alerted by the Dallas police apartment and had attended him as a patient. The doctors saw possible heartbeat, even though the pulse machine was didn't detect. They inserted tubes in his throat, tried to revive the heartbeat, and even performed other steps. Mournfully, the president was announced dead. Jackie Kennedy or Mrs.Kennedy was escorted with her husband's body onto a plane shortly after the assassination. The president's corpse was taken to National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Md. During this time at the Hospital a full body autopsy was performed on the president. They concluded from the autopsy that the cause of death was a “Gunshot wound, head.”
Did they catch the murderer? There was confusion at the scene of where the sounds came from or origins of the shots. Many witnesses had different views on where the gunshots had came from. After a while, most of the surveillance went to the Texas School Book Depository Co. According to many witnesses they had seen a rifle being shot from the southeast corner window of the sixth floor of the building. 1/15 people were considered missing after leaving the building quickly. As the police narrowed down the suspects they arrived at the Paine house and asked a few questions to Marina Oswald. The police were asking whether her husband, Lee Harvey Oswald, owned a rifle and she replied yes. At the police headquarters a captain had already begun to interrogate Oswald. There were many clues and concerning evidence that led up the police to think it was him. As they were transporting Oswald to a different building, a man by the name of Jack Ruby was carrying a Colt .38 revolver. In front of live cameras and the media, Jack ran up to Oswald and shot him. Immediately the police arrested him and within minutes Jack was in a cell and sentenced to death. As for Oswald, he was pronounced dead after he never regained consciousness. A conspiracy about Jack being linked to the murder of president Kennedy surfaced, but was later cut down short after enough evidence was shown that Mr. Oswald was the assassin of the president. Still even with that evidence, not many people were convinced. The public still very spetect and puzzled with the whole situation.
Now for the real question, why was president Kennedy assassinated?

There are many theories that go with this question. Here’s the list of the most known and compelling ones the CIA, the Mafia, sitting Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson, and the Babushka Lady. Ruben Castaneda, a conspiracy theorist/ journalist, stated "Based on the evidence, it is likely that JFK was killed by a coalition of anti-Castro Cubans, the Mob, and elements of the CIA." A show series named Buzzfeed Unsolved covers most of the CIA theories. The two hosts were explaining how the route of the motorcade had many turns that slowed down the ride and passed by so many windows. These former secret service agents Winston G Lawson and Forest V. Sorrels were sent out to check the route and noted that there were over 20,000 windows. Since they didn't have enough men they decided to inspect none of the windows. Seems very suspicious right? Not only that, but president Kennedy wanted to make some changes that the public and government didn't agree much. This is some evidence leading up for people to think that the CIA was involved. Now for the Mafia’s theory. Three mobs have separately claimed the assassination of president Kennedy. The Chicago, Miami, and New Orleans mobs all have a connection with the Mr.Kennedy and his family. Robert Kennedy, JFK’s brother, had made moves on these mobs to stop their crimes and end the posies. Jack Ruby, Oswald assassin, had connections with the mafias and some believe the CIA teamed up to get rid of Kennedy. Next is Lyndon B. Johnson’s theory. For this conspiracy many people believe that Johnson had Kennedy killed for political power. Some say that Kennedy and Johnson had words the day before of assassination. Lastly is the Babushka Lady, this lady had witnessed the whole thing with some odd details. As the president was getting shot the lady stayed there and had completely recorded the whole thing without running away. One conspiracy theorist said he had found

the identity and that identity belonged to singer Beverly Oliver. The theory of Beverly Oliver being the Babushka Lady was put to rest after her explanation of the assassination compared to the footage provided by the F.B.I. Interestingly was that the Babushka Lady recorded on a camera that didn't come out until six years later. This cause many people to think she was involved and knows why the president was killed.
