On his way to the cave, he decided to pray because of all the different causes that made him feel like he was losing his way. During this visit to Mount Hira, the Archangel Gabriel squeezed Muhammad hard forcing the words “Allah is one God” continuously coming out of his mouth. After having these words come out of his mouth for about two years, Muhammad decided that it was the time to encourage others to quote
After the fall of the Roman Empire, no one imagined that the next great world power would emerge from Saudi Arabia. Especially, because ancient empires thought that the land was worthless but they didn’t know that it had great trade routes. Trade brought them in connection with other civilizations and that’s how the city of Mecca, located in Saudi Arabia became known. The city of Mecca was a mix of religious beliefs, they used to worship many gods and had their own rituals. The world of Islam took place in Mecca where Muhammad was born in 570 CE. He became known as “the Prophet,” he was meant to be God’s final prophet. The main two groups of Islam are the Shia and Sunni; which they were created after Muhammad’s death. The Islam religion as
Although there are many religious in history, Islam is one of the quickest spreading in the Middle East. According to Document A, cultural diffusion helped advance the religion of Islam. For example, the city of Mecca was the center of trade, which meant there were many trade routes connected to Mecca. Some trade routes travelled farther away, like to India or China and Islam's culture and religion grew from all the trading. Document B explains that Islam spread so quickly because the laws from their God appealed to many. The Foundation of Islam It is sometimes suggested that abolishing capital punishment is unfair to the taxpayer, on the assumption that life imprisonment is more expensive than execution. If one takes into account all the relevant costs, however, just the reverse is true. "The death penalty is not now, nor has it ever been, a more economical alternative to life imprisonment. " 56 A murder trial normally takes much longer when the death penalty is at issue than when it is not.
Islam: A monotheistic religion characterized by the adoption of principles of submission to God; and believing in Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), as the last messenger of God. Accordingly, my role in this life is to worship Allah (SWT). In Islam, people should express verbally and believe in the heart that there is no God but Allah (Tawheed), as well as to practice Islam as much as Muslims might be able. In the Quran, Allah (SWT) says, "And I have neither created the Jinn nor humans except to worship Me." Az Zâriyât (51:56). My impression is based around the Five Pillars of Islam. The Five Pillars of Islam are; declaring that there is no God but Allah known as (Shahada), praying five times a day (Salah), fasting the holy month of Ramadan (Sawm), the giving of charity (Zakat), and pilgrimage or visiting the holy city of Mecca (Hajj) at least at once in ones life time. Here, I would consider putting strong emphasis on the Five Pillars in Islam. As Islam instructs its followers, Muslims should use the Five Pillars into every facet of their everyday life activities. As a Muslim, you have to understand the Pillars of Islam as well as the Sunnah or the way of the Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him (PBUH.) During his last fare farewell speech, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you”. In accordance with, Christianity also says, “And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise” (Luke 6:31). Based on the relationship between Christianity and Islam, there are principles commonly shared by both religions. Despite all of the different religious and ethnic backgrounds, social status, and regardless of its believers or not, it is paramount to treat everyone with the same way he or she expects ...
With time calligraphy was done on everything from coins to textiles and ceramics, buildings and scribes. Also, calligraphers became the most honored artist of those times. Cities that rose to a place where there were already only scattered villages. They would do that because railroads need a heavy traffic to make them beneficial Another needed railroads to help move things much faster but one problem they faced was to find a place in Africa to build them. (page ). Africa needs railroads to have moved their livestock, passenger, and product from villages to farms or to mines. It is an artistic tradition that dates back to the Ottoman age and beyond. However, any attempt to trace the development of Arabic calligraphy is usually met with a myriad of difficulties and obstacles. This is because of the long history of its development and the diversity that defines it. Nonetheless, Arabic calligraphy compensates for these difficulties with the splendour and the magnificence of its history. Just like any other form of art, Arabic calligraphy has over the centuries taken varied forms in distinct historical contexts. In fact, it is greatly recognized and respected form of art that is associated with Islam. However, the way in which it is experienced may vary, especially considering that to some, Arabic calligraphy appears to be alien.
Muhammad, the founder of Islam and member of Quraish tribe, was born in Mecca in 570. He was an Orphaned throughout his early life but met a rich widow who he later married. By 622 he had successfully gained enough converts to start his migration, known as the Hijrah. Marking the beginning of Muhammad’s movement. Muhammad changed the name of Yathrib to Medina (“City of the Prophet”) and established himself as the town’s ruler. Muhammad’s teachings are so important because they established the rituals and practices that help to ensure the salvation of all Muslims. These teachings are preserved in the sacred scripture of Islam. The Qur’an is considered a direct link with Muhammad. It is also unlike most books of the Bible because it takes the form of poetry, drawing on ancient genres of Arabic song.
The Split of Islam More than thirteen centuries ago, an event forever influenced the modern world: the split of Islam. With repercussions that still impact the modern world, Islam split into two sects —Sunni and Shia. Islam, the world’s second largest religion, was founded in 622 CE by Muhammad on the Arabian Peninsula. After years and years of preaching, Muhammad gained numerous followers, known as Muslims, and made Islam a political force. Unfortunately, Muhammad died in 632 CE, leaving no successor.
Calligraphic inscriptions are also very closely related to the geometry of their buildings. Islam, perhaps more than any other religion, values writing, and inscriptions. The value of the word is due to the holiness of the revelation, and from earliest Islamic times virtually all types of Islamic art were decorated with writing, even when the medium makes it difficult to add an inscription (Blair, 2012).
They wrote down what they learned from these places and so this knowledge spread to all other Muslims. They became very advanced in art, architecture, science and mathematics and all this knowledge eventually spread to non-Muslim countries. Much of what we know today is based on the ideas formed by early Islamic scholars. The Islamic religion is based on "The Five Pillars" which are: faith, prayer, charity, fasting and pilgrimage. The first pillar was and still is faith in Allah and his teachings.
