There are a lot of differences that exist between the two, but at the same time there are also some similarities that bring them together. In order to bring more understanding about these two religions, here are some of the major similarities of Islam and Christianity.
Monotheistic religion

They believe that God created prophets such as Moses, Abraham, Noah, Joseph, Jesus and John the Baptist. Christians and Muslims both consider the New Testament and Old Testament as divine scriptures that give inspiration on how to live a good life that makes God happy.
Islam and Christianity believe in existence of Angels
Christianity and Islam both believe in existence of angels. They also strongly believe that there is an evil being known as Satan. Islam and Christianity believe that God has angels who are always ready to carry out all the orders they are given by God.
