Marc Andreessen. The internet today is one of the biggest and greatest inventions yet known to humanity. It’s made life almost impossible to live without it, making us wonder how we ever did survive without back in the day. The internet has such a huge influence on this generation. We rely on the internet for everything. We read, shop, watch, and listen to music on it. The internet has made life much easier. We seem to be skimming even when we have a book in our hands . Skimming is just a faster way to get the information were looking for without having to read the whole book. We try to make everything we do a little easier, why should skimming be any different . Were still learning as we skim and the whole idea of the book and i bet the whole idea for the author writing that book is for the readers to "get it". As long as we understand the main point, i don’t see any reason skimming should be viewed bad upon.

In the article "Is Google Making Us Stupid" Author Nicholas Carr states, "The company has declared that its mission is “to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.” It seeks to develop “the perfect search engine,” which it defines as something that “understands exactly what you mean and gives you back exactly what you want.”
