A Dream Lost in Time
What is the American Dream, is it still possible? The American Dream is the ideal life that each person wants to live. Imagine living in a picture perfect world with freedom, being successful, having a nice home, with your family, a nice car, and a satisfying income. But now a days, due to low income, economy, and society not everyone wants to or can live that American Dream. Each individual has a dream they want to accomplish depending on things they go through or how they personally live. Although many Americans acknowledge that the American Dream is still achievable because they believe it will always be something that everyone as one can strive for, others endorse that the American Dream is not indeed achievable due to the fact that everyone has their own view on the American Dream and the way they live day to day due to income , their race and other obstacles that they face. …show more content…

Some argue that the American Dream is still there and is still today a possible goal for many. Daniel J. Mitchell advocates, “The bottom line is that there are many problems that should be addressed, but the perfect isn't the enemy of the good” (Mitchell 1). What Mitchell is saying is that there are many problems that should be brought up and be tried to fix but just because there are problems in our country this doesn’t mean we can’t still reach the dream.
