Is it OK for scientists to play God? Our society should be cautious that scientific advancements could corrupt our society’s moral values. Our world could become that advanced in technology because there are parts in the book that are actually similar to today’s society. We are slowly moving that way with technology. It’s scary how Aldous Huxley could predict so many things that are really happening. Maybe not all predictions where right but a lot of them are right. The technology has enhanced to the point where we can make babies in test tubes by artificial insemination and cloning. This is why the Amish people have begun to set up arranged marriages between other Amish people so they can have different kids with different genetics. Ethically, who gets to pick what genes, characteristics, personality traits? It is not OK for scientists to play God. It is morally wrong for people to make decisions to change nature. People like me who are not good in school, but may have other talents to offer like art and music would not be picked and then those genes would eventually die off. Art and music would be lost because there would only be the smart people left-Alphas. We could mess things up if we create the wrong people that could cause humans to go extinct. People want to be free and this could take away free will. This is why It is morally wrong for people to make decisions to change nature.
