How beneficial would it be for students to have a free period during the school day? I will give you the reasons on to why I think students should have a free period during the school day. The reasons why we should have a free period include, having time to hang out with friends, time to get help from teachers with assignments, or catch some Z’s.

One of the reasons students should have a free period is because it will allow them to relax, take a brain break, and hang out with friends. Students deserve to have this extra free time because school can be really stressful and having this free time in school to do whatever you want will help us to reset and recharge. Hanging out with friends during this time is a good way to catch up with them and talk for a bit. We do have lunch time to talk, but it’s only 30 minutes and during that time people are trying to eat. You also never really get to see your friends outside of school because your too busy with other things like homework, hanging out with your family, or people may have other outside school activities that keep them busy. …show more content…

Sometimes students need help with homework or projects. They may not be able to stay after school because they have other after school activities, they may ride the bus, or can’t stay after because their parents can’t come to pick them up after school.
