Is going to Mars worth it? I think it is totally worth it. Imagine your name being written in history books, imagine students learning about you in schools, and there are all sorts of things that people will remember you for. Here are three points why you should go to Mars. One point is that, one day we will all leave Earth. Why, you ask? Earth’s resources are running out and we will run out of space on Earth, eventually. Even the famous scientist, Stephen Hawking says,” if we want our species to survive, we need to colonize other planets, because we are going to run out of space and resources here on earth.” And by the time that people say,”let’s go to Mars now…”, it will be too late. But the astronauts are trained with elite groups of people. Mars One are training the astronauts how to use and repair all equipment. Mars One are also training the astronauts how to treat minor and major injuries. They also train them how to cope with difficult problems in a different environment. With this help, astronauts will be prepared and fully aware of what’s going on when they go to Mars. Lastly, people think how the astronauts are able to leave their family behind that easily. Those people don’t know that astronauts can call or Facetime their family while they are in space. The astronauts can text their family members and send them video messages.That way, the astronauts are not really leaving their families behind and they are keeping in touch with them. Now, some people will complain about how expensive this mission will cost. But, Mars One have funds from people and to save money, Mars One uses existing technologies so they won’t have to go build new things. Mars One understands that this mission is going to cost a great deal of money so they use what they have in stock and not buy expensive things. In going along with this plan, there will be more demand for scientists and engineers alike. Engineers will build the manned bases and vessels, while scientists occupy them and gather data to benefit the world. With all the problems we have on earth and how much we don’t know about our own planet we shouldn’t be colonizing others. We may have the science but we don’t have the funds. We also have tons of willing people but not enough physically and mentally able to colonize a planet. Children are starving all around the world, People are homeless, and wars are starting. As a country we need to start investing more money and research into space technology. Programs currently exist for this effort, but the potential for research and progress is limited by a lack of funding; compared to other government funded programs, aerospace funding is pitiful. Continued research in space technology is a necessary step in our growth and development not just as a country but also as entire human race. If we are to achieve this goal, it is necessary to increase funding for space research and technology and consider the possibility of colonizing outer space. If we limit our existence to the planet Earth, and continue to drain the resources on this planet, we will destroy the only home we have.
Before you try and make a pretentious remark against my case, let me beat you to it. The most plausible reason in favor of space exploration is this. In “ Leaving Maine Street” by Elfrieda Hiebert, she makes the point that space exploration helps the economy and creates student careers. That of course is good in and of its own, but student jobs are even more in command right now than ever. Four out of five students graduate without a stable income, and an eight month one way journey to mars is about as stable as it gets.
Colonizing Mars is a huge mistake. Mars one is planning to send humans to settle on the red planet. Colonizing Mars is a dangerous operation because it is a one way trip,there is no food or water currently there,and the toxic atmosphere.

This is important because, the space program needs money to fund the very expensive space shuttles. In 1965, the height of the Space Race, NASA’s budget was about four and a half percent of the federal budget (“The Future of Space Exploration”). Today, the budget for NASA is about half a percent of the federal budget (“The Future of Space Exploration”). The money received from the government plays a crucial role in funding these space explorations. This is where space exploration comes in. With the recent discovery of water on Mars, and the finding of Kepler-78b, it is possible that mankind can prolong our existence. That is until a second mission, however, is launched via the Champion. Now a young adult, Smith is forced to return to Earth with the exploration crew of the Champion by Martians. malfunctions, and psychological problems brought on by isolation. The solution to radiation exposure is to have proper shielding for the astronauts. The physiological problems faced by humans in a weightless environment could be eliminated entirely, if they had artificial gravity. If some type of malfunction were to occur on the spacecraft, or the temporary settlement on Mars, it would be prudent for the astronauts to have an emergency escape vessel. Also, providing some type of normality for the astronauts while in space and on Mars, like artificial gravity, books to read, movies to watch, games to play, and the creation of a weekly support group, would promote a healthy psychological mindset.

Space is the everlasting, ever growing place where we happen to reside. From the beginning of intelligent life here on Earth, we have wanted to learn. Whether it be simply constructing a fire, or solving the riddles that still puzzle us to this day. Many of the questions we still have are pertaining to space. Are we alone? How did we get here? Where are we going? Many answers can come from exploring space. Getting a “few lumps of moon rock” can answer so many questions we asked ourselves for millennia. Can we truly belong in a place we do not know about? Space exploration will better us now and in the future for several reasons.
There are many reasons that space exploration should continue. If Earth ever becomes too overpopulated or over polluted, then perhaps people can move to Mars. The world population in 1970 was approximately 4 billion people, and is currently nearly 6 billion people. The world population in 2015 is estimated to be 7 billion people. There is a possibility that there are useful resources on Mars. Scientists have found ice and some other clues, such as craters, volcanoes, and valleys, that have led them to believe that there was once life on Mars, and they believe that sometime in the future, should planet Earth need to be evacuated, humans will be able to live there (Jakosky 142). Many of the rocks on Mars appear to have been formed by gasses, breathable by humans and other creatures. A process called terraforming will allow astronauts to make use of the resources that are on the planet and create an atmosphere that will support life. One method for terraforming is that scientists would convert the gaseous rocks back into gasses, and use gas-eating organisms to eat the gas, which results in the formation of other gasses. If these organisms continue the cycle, then Mars would have a stable atmosphere for humans to live in (Getz 39).
However, we are still incessant trying to get the gate of the Mars. The idea that to colonize Mars is from some science fiction novels. Then, after we have the technology to get out of our Earth, it started to become our aim. The ultimate goal is not only make human land on Mars, but including Mars colonization
First, I would like to talk about all the things we take for granted but, wouldn’t have without space exploration.
