The war is unfair in many ways. The Civilian casualties skyrocket in other parts of the country as well. For example in the Iraq War 500,000 thousand people has died for a war some of them didn't even fight . The expenses for Iraq is 2.4 trillion dollars for all the damage they caused for the war and the poor civilians that lost everything some even their lives. The people that get drafted for a war are around 18-26 . They usually don't want to do which is unfair because some are forced into doing it. 2500 Americans lost their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq under President Obama. Isis kills soldiers and civilians as well which shows Injustice.
A Battlefield is an area where a war is fought. The Civil War consisted of nearly 10,500 battles, engagements, and other military actions including nearly 50 major battles and about 100 others that had major significance. The remainder were skirmishes, reconnaissances, naval engagements, sieges, bombardments, etc. It i s unfair because some of these soldiers were young and inexperienced
Some even slaves died for fighting a war some of them did not want and had nothing to do with it.
Some of these soldiers never ever shot a gun in their life. Most of

31% Of Vietnam Veterans Have PTSD and 11% Afghanistan Veterans. She Recalls Like it's yesterday “I would See the Fire And Then I would wake up in cold sweat”(Badalucco 1) .This is unfair for the poor lady because she helped the country by helping out the soldiers and she came back a changed
The Civil War was a major point in American History. It has influenced everyone in America in many ways. The War was conducted in two main areas of the United States. These two parts were in the area east of the Mississippi River and in the area west of the Mississippi River. The control of both of these fronts was vital for victory by either the Union or the Confederacy. On March 8, 1862, a small skirmish at Pea Ridge, Arkansas led to the Union's domination of the west. The Battle of Pea Ridge had a great impact on the civil war by giving control of the west to the Federal forces (Battle).
than a certain number of slaves would be exempt from military duty. Some just decided not to
The Civil War split our nation, Americans fighting Americans, brother against brother. The war lasted four long years, a key battle fought westward was the turning point in the war: the Battle of Vicksburg.
In the end, during the civil war countless slaves fought for their freedom by giving information and supplies to the Union Army. They also ran away to Union territory and served in the Union Army. Because of these efforts, slaves earned citizenship and equal rights. These acts also came with freedom and liberty to all African Americans. Altogether the slaves during the Civil War were able rise up and earn their
So they had a war to see if slavery was going to be no more, or it they are gonna have slavery still going on.
A Vietnam War veteran experienced many gruesome and horrifying events during their time of serving the army. Seeing such horrifying things affected their mental and emotional thinking “PTSD is defined as a re-experience of a traumatic event, for example, flashbacks. Anything can trigger a flashback a click, a movement, anything associated with the past event” (Cruz). Seeing such horrifying things affected their mental and emotional thinking. A soldier was told to forget what they saw and basically move on from it, but it only made it worse. Having everything “bottled up” makes it even harder to treat PTSD. U.S. soldiers had to live with the disorder on their own without any help. “The veterans experience combat related nightmares, anxiety, anger, depression, alcohol and/or drug dependency, all are symptoms of PTSD” (Begg). The symptoms occurred over long periods of time when that person has been in certain situations that he or she was not ready to be in. Some of these situations including the Vietnam veterans not feeling like their unit was together or united. “Soldiers were sent into replace other soldiers, which caused the other members of the group to make fun or haze them. The unit never developed as much loyalty to each other as they should have” (Paulson and Krippner). “Many of...
n America, veterans are symbolized as heros who fight in America's battle .We even have a special day to honor the men and women -Veterans day. However, we deny theses heros from such an efficient policy the Purple Heart. The first issue of contention with PTSD is whether it’s a real “wound,” but the answer to this is obvious and well documented by the fact that more combat veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan die from suicide related to wartime service and mental health issues than from enemy bullets and bombs.Furthermore, veterans are people that go through such a traumatizing experience and should not be treated as robots. The article,”What wounds Deserve the purple heart?”, states “Those who believe that psychological wounds should qualify
Did you know Abraham Lincoln, President of the North and Jefferson Davis, President of the South were both from the state of Kentucky (PBS). The Civil War was one of the bloodiest battles ever and it was a very important five years in American history. The Civil War was caused by sectionalism, lifestyle, secession, and slavery, was impacted by Southern and Northern leaders, was fought in many battles and as a result started the Reconstruction era in America. Two of the leaders in the South were Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee and in the North the Union was led by Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant. Some of the major battles during the Civil War were Gettysburg, Vicksburg, and Appomattox. The Civil War was caused by four main things.
There were estimated about 190,000 African Americans fought in the Civil War. Estimated about 38,000 of them died. Many of them believing that if they fought with the Union or Confederate, they would become equal to the white's. Even some of the African Americans were treated better than some of the white's. The reason why some of the African Americans were treated better than some of the white's was because if a white soldier didn't do his job or didn't follow orders, they would put a African American in their place, of course if that African American had followed orders in the past.
The Civil War was a battle between the northern states and the southern states. The southern states wanted to secede
Imagine living in despair after coming back home, dismayed from a war that got no appreciation. Robert Kroger once said in his quote, “The brave men and women, who serve their country and as a result, live constantly with the war inside them, exist in a world of chaos. But the turmoil they experience isn’t who they are, the PTSD invades their minds and bodies.” Eleven percent of Vietnam Veterans still suffer with symptoms of the terrifying disorder of PTSD (Handwerk). Vietnam Veterans struggle with the physiological effects of PTSD after war, which leads to despair and many deaths.
... a civil war that led to loss of many lives and destruction of property.
“War is at best barbarism….Its glory is all moonshine….War is hell. (Union General William Tecumseh Sherman) A wise quote by an even wiser man, The Civil War was agreed a “hell”. For four years (1862-1865) a war was fought between both Northern Union states and Southern Confederate states over the matter of slavery. During this time period many changes were happening in the United States; the election of an anti-slavery president, Southern states trying to secede to become their own independent country. These factors and many more including slavery were the main causes of The Civil War. To begin slavery was the main income for southern states.
Our soldiers not only risked life and limb for our country while serving in the Vietnam War, but they continue to suffer immensely. Americans as well as Vietnamese troops and civilians suffered great losses when it comes to casualties. Witnessing first-hand the pain and death of strangers and allies, isn’t something one is likely to forget. Post-Traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has been one of the many repercussions of witnessing these gruesome events (Mental Health America). Veterans, their families, and the government have come together in combat in attempts to address the detrimental effects of PTSD.
“Nearly everyone will experience a range of reactions after trauma, [and] those who continue to experience problems will more likely to be diagnosed with PTSD” (The National Institute of Mental Health, 2016). In this special scenario, not only the people who had faced the attack of zombies, but also the ones who came back from zombies are highly in chance of developing the PTSD. Similarly, “the United States’ veterans, who had participated in combat, have a much higher prevalence of PTSD than American civilians… because service members are intimately involved in
