It has become easier to access information right when you need it; The internet has influenced new creations that help with daily life and getting tasks done faster and more efficient. Education has become easy and more complex regarding getting new information, as extensive knowledge is available at any moment. The internet is the most powerful thing since books or even numbers; this can be seen in The Shallows by Nicholas Carr.

The internet has made gaining online material more accessible with fast and instant possibilities. “With a few clicks, people can search virtual catalogs, place orders, track shipments, and update information in corporate databases.” (Carr 85). With technology advancing and where it is right now it is so easy to order things that are needed the next day and have them at your doorstep. You can easily change any information in an instant as well. “The net has become essential to their work, school or social lives, and often all three.”(Carr 9). Without the internet education would not be near as advanced as it is now, jobs would be made more difficult, with having to rely on written thoughts and

with a chance of losing them. We all have access to all the information we could ever need in the world at our fingertips.
Technical creations have made bountiful new useful things to help with day to day activities.

“That's why the future of knowledge and culture no longer lies in books or newspapers or TV shows or radio programs or records or CDs.” (Carr 89). Technology has created ways to read books, newspapers, and listen to music in one simple place: The Internet. “The map maker began to use sophisticated tools like the direction-finding compass and the angle-measuring theodolite and to rely on mathematical reckonings and formulas.” (Carr 40). With more information about new technologies, the map maker could make something much more than a map on paper. Something that can be easily accessed on the internet, with regard to finding directions. The fact that the internet can give us easy access to everything we need in one place just proves the power of the

net.
Nowadays, if we don't know what a word or phrase means we can pick up our phones and simply search and automatically know what it means. “The net is making us smarter, in other words, only if we define intelligence by the nets own standards.” (Carr 141). People's intelligence has changed in ways to fit the nets ways of working. We are educated on anything we want to be, with the help of the web. “People didn't have to memorize everything anymore. They could look it up.” (Carr 117). The internet holds all the information we could ever possibly need, we don't have to try so hard to remember everything, we can just look it up.
The internet is a richer and a deeper resource overpowering books and numbers, it makes life tasks easier to do and remember. Just think about how life was before the internet or technology were around, people didn't have the instant communication or easy access as they do now. If the internet got taken away from us randomly one day, no person would know how to function without the fun, instant information, and communication of the internet or social media. The internet is the most powerful thing that has ever been invented.
