Resident Evil involves a lot of external conflict. The Umbrella Corporation injected project Alice with the T Virus, which bonded with her blood and gave her super human abilities. She escaped Umbrella; however, the entire world has been infected with the T Virus, but it did not bond with their blood so they turned into zombies. The entire Resident Evil movie series revolves around the Umbrella Corporation chasing Alice, but Alice always manages to escape or fight them off. She also kills a lot of zombies on the run.
Halloween revolves around a serial killer, Michael Myers, trying his younger sister Laurie Strode. When Michael was six he killed his older sister, and then committed to a sanitarium. He escapes years later and returns to his hometown to find his sister and kill her. He kills many people along the way including Laurie’s best friends. Michael attacks Laurie, but she stabs him with a knitting needle, a hangar, and eventually his own knife. Nothing kills him. He continues to attack her when his psychiatrist shoots him. When Dr. Loomis and Laurie look over the balcony, Michael had disappeared.

When we looked behind us we could see a very dark ominous shelf cloud heading towards us, but we ignored it because everyone else did not seem to ne worried. The panic only started when the cloud was right above us. The sirens began wailing and rain came gushing down on everybody like a waterfall. People started running for cover. Large bright lightening bolts illuminated the sky. A voice in the speakers said there was a tornado. My parents and I started running even faster towards our car. We eventually got in the car and started driving back to out hotel. We were sopping wet and chilled to the
Throughout Clover’s novel she never mentioned “A Nightmare on Elm Street” even though it is part of the same franchise as “Halloween”. However, I say the film followed Clover’s exact model. A link can be made from the film to Clover’s theory from a couple of standpoints. “A Nightmare on Elm Street” had a very Halloween like feel to it. Freddy Krueger acted as the male tormentor as he harmed Tina Gray and Nancy Thompson. The line here is that the base for the film “A Nightmare on Elm Street” is the same base that was used in “Halloween” as well as the base theory Carol Clover provides in her novel. In “A Nightmare on Elm Street” Tina and Nancy have a goal of becoming the “final girl(s)” because they have the same common goal of surviving Freddy Krueger’s attacks. Tina and Nancy’s stories sound exactly like Laurie’s in Halloween. The base is the same in that a male continued to attack female characters until the female(s) overcame the challenge to become the “final girl.” I really feel that most “slasher” films follow this
Analysis of Halloween by John Carpenter and Evil Dead by Sam Raimi The horror genre is characterized by the attempt to make the viewer experience dread, fear and terror. Some of the most common elements include vampires, zombies and werewolves. One of the films which I am going to analyze is “Halloween” by John Carpenter which starred Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence. This film was made in 1978; this was considered the film which started the “slasher film” genre. This genre was continued in dozens of violent movies throughout the 1980s.
The movie Halloween is about a boy named Michael Myers, who murders his older sister when he is six years of age on Halloween night. He then escapes from the mental hospital many years later, and goes back to his hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois to follow a girl named Laurie Strode. On his journey of trying to find her to murder her he kills many people along the way. The movie portrays a suspenseful gory aspect that keeps viewers watching till the end, wanting to know what will happen. The creators of Halloween made many other sequels connecting to the first movie.
Like a gangster, Michael Myers’ main focus throughout the film is brutality; “The practice of brutality – the quality of unmixed criminality – becomes the totality of his career” (3). This brutality is clearly illustrated in the scene where Bob is assailed by Michael Myers. After Bob finished sleeping with Lynda, he headed downstairs to fetch the beers Lynda requested. As he did so he heard a strange noise coming from the door. Curious, he made his way over to the door to find that there was nothing there. Figuring it was just Lynda messing with him, he opens up the cabin doors and calls Lynda an “asshole”. Failing to find Lynda, he decided to check another but little did he know that Myers happened to be hiding amongst those doors. The moment he opened them, Myers flew through the door and caught him by the throat. Bob attempted to struggle but failed to overpower him. As he drew his final breathes, Myers stabs him through the chest and watches the light slowly fade from his eyes.
Often when we think about the Titanic the first thought that comes to the mind is the film “Titanic” which was produced in 1997, 85 years after the disaster struck. It starred Kate Winslett (Rose DeWitt Bukater), Leonardo DiCaprio (Jack Dawson) And Billy Zane (Cal Hokley) as the main characters. The film is about a love triangle between the three main characters. This movie was produced by James Cameron who put enormous amount of research about the shipwreck of the titanic in order to depict the turn of events in his film. Amongst the purposes of his research he wanted to accurately depict the ship wreck itself from the very instant the ship hit the iceberg to the very last part of the ship that was subdued into the water. Another very significant part of Cameron’s research was to understand the socio-economic status of the passengers which will be discussed in detail later. Although historians have criticized certain aspects Cameron’s film the accuracy in which he depicts certain aspects such as the socio-economics of the passengers can’t be ignored.

Michael Myers, in later movies, became a supernatural being that could regenerate body parts and could survive anything. Making it so that you could never kill him, you could really only run away from him. The later movies drop their character development in favor for Michael simply running through and just killing everyone.
Once the boy has reached the top of the stairs he turns into another room and collects the mask to change his identity when doing the murder. Ironically, earlier on this same mask is used by the boyfriend to amuse his girl friend with. Like in the rest of Halloween there is low key lighting like shadows and darkness to build suspense for the audience. Whilst this is going on in the back ground you can hear Michael's sister humming quietly which symbolizes her innocence and purity of heart .Michael
The Unsinkable Ship That Sank On the day of April 12,1912, Titanic was thought to be the dream ship that could never be destroyed. Like today’s society, the passengers were enjoying the time of their lives and thought nothing could ever happen to them because everybody thinks it’s the “unsinkable” ship, or at least that’s what everyone knew it to be. White Star Line’s Titanic was called the “Ship of dreams”. As they loaded up, many passengers of different classes and sectors of society thought that, that was the ticket to their dreams. But as time pass by from enjoying too much, little do they know that the ship is sinking.
It was a warm rainy June night the humidity was high which made it even harder to breathe on the crammed boat. My family was asleep on the constantly rocking boat suddenly the boat shook, but my family was still fast asleep. I couldn’t seem to fall asleep so I got up and stepped out on the cold wet steel boats upper deck to get some air. When I got outside I realized that it was pouring bucket sized rain. I saw increasingly large waves crash furiously against the lower deck. Hard water droplets pelted my face, I could taste the salt water in my mouth from the spray of the ocean. Suddenly A massive wave slammed hard against the ship and almost swallowed the boat. Wind gusts started kicking up. I held onto the rail grasping it as if it were my prized possession. Suddenly I was blown
...survive, and the personal raft they are fighting for isn't big enough for them both. Rose has to fight the freezing waters without Jack, and make it to land to survive. Jack passes away in the capsizing, and Rose loses her true love. I think the physical suffering would be very difficult, but also the psychological scarring of losing the one you truly love, to something in modern times would be very easy to avoid.
Within the context of film industry, the film Titanic by James Cameron belongs to epic romance/ disaster genre. The film, released in 1997, was a global box office hit because the director provided equal importance to history, fiction and romance. To be specific, one can see that the film’s plot is based upon the history of RMS Titanic. On the other side, the main characters including the protagonist and the heroine (Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater/Dawson) are fictional characters. Besides, the element of romance between the main characters (Jack and Rose) is the film’s main attraction. Thesis statement: The critical analysis of the film Titanic proves that the innovative mode of storytelling (flash back and other techniques), Acting, Cinematography, Editing, Sound, Style and Directing (equal importance to fictional and historical characters), Societal Impact, and Genre (epic romance/disaster) are the most important factors behind the film’s success as a historical/fictional masterpiece (special references specific shots, scenes, characters, stylistic devices and/or themes).
I work at McDonalds. Do I like it? No. The good thing about having the job is being able to afford things when I need it. Half of the people I work with are scandalmongers they gossip and can be inconsiderate.
I had spent the night at a friend’s house and I couldn’t sleep so I called my mom to come get me and bring me home. On our way home I talked to her about how I wasn’t comfortable sleeping away from home and how it scared me. When we got home I rushed to the door because my grandma and my little sister Alyssa were waiting for me. As I opened the front door I could hear screaming and voices I had never heard before. My heart started racing and I couldn’t think about anything but that I wanted to see what was going on. I shoved the front door open and my mom rushed to be behind me. As we walked into the house I was my grandmother screaming at someone and hiding my little sister behind her. Alyssa looked terrified like she was being attacked. My mom
I jumped out of the car with my two sisters and ran to the bathroom. When we left the bathroom, we walked back to the car. We saw that our dad was still putting gas in the car, so we went into the store to buy some sweets. I bought “warheads” that said extremely sour, and a bag of chips called “baked with fire” that looked like they would taste really hot. When we purchased our food, we walked back to the car. As soon as we started driving, I opened my bag of chips. I was so scared that they would be extremely hot. For that reason, I also bought a bottle of water. I opened it before I took a bite out of the chip. Luckily, they were not hot at all! I grabbed my sour candy and tasted it. My face changed so quickly; that I started to squint my eyes and point my lips. I could not take another bite of it because it was really sour! Eventually, I was not hungry anymore. Probably because I ate my whole bag of chips and a sandwich. When I finished eating, I was feeling exhausted, so I took a long nap. I woke up, and dad told me that we only needed to drive for one more hour. While we were driving through town, we saw a row of trees on fire! It was so smoky that we could barely see the street we were driving on. I felt scared for life and terrified that we might crash. After a few more minutes of driving, the smoke cleared up and we could see again. Finally, the hour passed and we arrived in California. Mrs.
