If everyone on this earth held the belief that all humans have the capability of being and becoming good people, this world would be a much different place. I hold the belief that human beings are good, and I feel that is essential that all people do their best to try to find the good aspects and qualities in others. I think that it is important to concentrate on the positive and good aspects of people, even though some do make this very difficult to even attempt. All people have something to offer the world, even if they do not know it. I think that as a teacher it is my job and my duty to find these good points in my students. In I Corinthians 7:7, it states that “…each has a particular gift from God, one having one kind and another a different kind.” Later in I Corinthians 12 it states that God has given us these gifts to use. Once I have established the qualities that my learners possess, I can continue to build on their foundations. I can also help to guide them in the path of good behavior and a good moral life. If I spot weaknesses, I can also help to work on those points by building them up with the student. As I stated earlier, I believe that every person, no matter his or her “position” or lack thereof in life, deserves to know that they have something to offer to others on this earth. Each child is worthy as J. Fennema suggests, and it is my duty, along with the parents, to help the child realize and understand this. I feel that it is a teacher’s position to help draw his or her students’ talents and gifts out so that they can use and develop them to hopefully put towards making the community in which they are involved, and those communities to which they wil...

I honestly do struggle with my some aspects of my faith. I may end up teaching at a Christian school that holds different beliefs other than what I have been brought up to believe; however, all Christians hold the central belief that the Lord sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die and save us from our sins. I can always share this and the central belief of how it is to live a Christian and moral life. No matter what position I find myself in, or where I may be teaching, I can try to always live my life as an example of what it means to be a Christian.

In December 1965, a group of students from Des Moines, Iowa met at Christopher Eckhardt’s home in order to plan a protest. During the meeting, the students planned to wear black armbands throughout the holiday season to show public support for a truce in the Vietnam War. However, the principal of the school got word of the planned protest and quickly established a policy that stated any student wearing an armband would be asked to remove it. If they refused to do so, it would result in suspension. On December 16, 1965, the protest began and students Mary Beth Tinker and Christopher Eckhardt wore their armbands to school and were sent home. The following day John Tinker experienced the same result by wearing his armband as well. All three students
Mary Beth Tinker was only thirteen years old in December of 1964 when she and four other students were suspended from school because they wore black armbands. The black armbands were a sign of protest against the Vietnam War. The school suspended the students and told them that they could not return to school until they agreed to take off the armbands. The students did not return to school until after the school’s Christmas break, and they wore black the rest of the year, as a sign of protest. The Tinker family, along with other supporters, did not think that the suspension was constitutional and sued the Des Moines Independent Community School District. The Supreme Court’s majority decision was a 7-2 vote that the suspension was unconstitutional (Tinker V. Des Moines).
Ishmael highlights that people should learn from each other and learning from your peers is an important part of learning and life. If we didn’t learn from each other the world would never thrive or be able to adapt to the changes that the modern day brings. The moral responsibilities of humans that the text highlights are essential to living a good life. The responsibilities that are discussed are important in the teaching of religious education. All teachers have the responsibility to develop skills and qualities in their pupils that are beneficial to their lives and the lives of others.

In the story, Jefferson was a young black man who was sentenced to death for a crime he didn't commit. Grant was a man who got out of the town he grew up in and got a higher education before moving back. At Jefferson's godmother's request, he helped Jefferson overcome the objectification and stigma he faced. Over the course of the book, Grant's faith in change, children, and Jefferson evolved and helped him understand and overcome problems in his life.

In December 1965, an issue was caused by teachers’ in violating students’ freedom of speech. In December some students from Des Moines Independent Community School District, in Iowa were suspended for wearing black armbands to protest against the American Government’s war policy in support Vietnam (Richard, Clayton, and Patrick).The school district pressed a complaint about it, although the students caused no harm to anyone. Students should be able to voice their opinions without the consequences of the school district.

Controlled increases in physical stress through progressive resistive exercise cause muscle fibers to hypertrophy and become capable of generating greater force.3 Early emphasis is on restoring joint range of motion and muscle flexibility, however, resistive exercises are not delayed. The initial emphasis of muscle loading should be on endurance, accomplished with lower loads and higher repetitions. Progressive resistive exercises are initiated at the available range and progressed to new positions as wrist range of motion returns in all planes. Both the overload principle and the SAID Principle (Specific Adaptation to Imposed Demands) are important considerations in therapeutic exercise dosing.1,3,11 Within pain tolerance, dosing progressive resistive exercises that maintain a therapeutic stress level will encourage muscle tissue hypertrophy. Finding activities that produce the correct force and repetition, without injury, is the goal of the remobilization period. Starting with low force, moderate to high repetitions, and encouraging therapeutic rest following induced stress is important to both the overload principle and the SAID Principle. My objective for writing this essay on the black family was to examine and interrogate a myriad of stereotypes surrounding this family structure. Slavery and its inception need to be explored because it enables one to acquire a better understanding of the modern day black family. It is my hope that once we achieve this level of understanding, if not acceptance, that we may be able to start the healing process that is so necessary.
You can not put a value on a Christian education because it creates a setting of respect for God, His Word and His authority. It gives students a foundation of discipline, morality and a proper work ethic that can also be applied in other areas of life. Christians were actually the first to advocate universal education. The term university confirms this as it breaks down to “uni veritas” which literally means “one truth”. It was Christians in Europe who launched the first universities in France and the United Kingdom. It is ironic that so many scholars today are so hostile towards Christianity. Perhaps they do not know about the Christian roots of universal education for all classes and both genders or about the contribution of Christianity toward worldwide literacy, and higher education.

Prior to the period of slavery, the majority African family structure was in the realm of 2-parent households and was the main importance for everyone. However, during the period of slavery and beyond, the 2-parent household has been transformed and its looming effects are still in place today. The effects include the phenomenal increase in female-headed households and also the increase in households with individual living by himself or herself. African-American family structure has been inconsistent, and it has a tremendous impact on the children.
