,the puritans in Salem practiced their religion , and depend on it for setting up their village and town , they had no sense of tolerance or mercy , if anything strange happened , they thought that there was witchcraft or devil force between them . There was an expansion of injustice in Salem , as many victims an innocent people were blamed for un explainable events which they did not know anything about it and how it happened , people were accused of using witchcraft unless they confessed they practiced it !. In Salem , four hundred were accused and nineteen were executed . Fear and superstition lead to injustice , Hale said :

According to developed and static characters , characters such as ministers and the proctors were well developed and had many dimensions , and for girls who played in the forest , they were static and less developed .
