Everyone in here has someone who they’ve exalted and has been the mvp in their life. I can relate to Kevin Durant and probably many of you in the fact that, my mom was mvp in my life. In the next couple of minutes I am going to talk about how my mom has impacted me to be a better person and help others. Body I consider my mom the most valuable player in my life because of how she shapes me to be a better person everyday. A. My mom always tells me to try and help at least one person everyday. B. I know many of you have seen the people outside places like Shop ‘n Save and Walmart asking for money, especially during the winter months. 2. She always tells me that “a little bit will eventually end up as a lot.”. 3. This has affected my daily outlook on life. It taught me that little acts of kindness can add up and will eventually become big acts of kindness. My mom also says that “It’s not my prerogative to choose what they do with the money” “The one thing that matters is at least give the people money to do good with”. Transition Earlier in my introduction I said that my mom made me who I am today. Now even though she literally made me, I am talking about how she has shaped my outlook on

I am doing my successful person report over Kevin Durant, because, he has played a dominant role in carrying the Thunder Basketball team and represents Oklahoma City in a great way. Kevin Durant has been a huge impact on the court and in the public as he soars for the dunk from the free-throw line to amaze the crowd, he also volunteers at various organizations and remains humble despite his numerous accolades such as, three time NBA scoring champion, rookie of the year, and helped Team USA win the gold medal at the Olympics.
Come Wednesday night a legendary career will come to an end as Kobe Bryant plays his last game in the NBA. Since Early December the end when Kobe Bryant announced his retirement, many have been flocking to see Kobe play for one last time while other stars try to meet with him. Usually when players retire they’ll go off and do something else and we’ve heard a number of things that Kobe could do once he hangs his sneakers up. We know Kobe has his own business that he’ll likely focus on and some want him to join the NBA on TNT crew, but Bryant has no interest in the broadcasting route. Many of us would love to see Mamba coach but that’s something he doesn’t have any interest in doing either. When it’s all set and done what could we see Kobe do? Well here’s a wild card and it’s something
“Iguodala to Curry, back to Iguodala, up for the layup! Oh! Blocked by James! LeBron James with the rejection!” These were the words spoken by ESPN’s Mike Breen during Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals, describing one of the best defensive plays in NBA history. Hello, I am Steven Lai, and we are here today to celebrate LeBron James. We celebrate him because he is one of the greatest basketball players on the court and off the court. As a huge LeBron fan, I can tell you all why we are here to celebrate him. To celebrate LeBron James, I will talk about his accomplishments in the NBA, his social activism, and his charitable acts.
It's official. Kevin Durant has agreed to sign with the Golden State Warriors. Rumors were circulating a few hours prior to his decision becoming public that it was indeed his intent. He leaves the Oklahoma City Thunder in a very rough spot, but in the back of everyone's mind there was always that concern that Russell Westbrook would stay with the team when he becomes a free-agent next season.
“ He’s a once-in-a-lifetime guy.” Kevin Durant…The one and only Kevin Durant, one of the best basketball players in the world. We, Aimee Johnson and Jessie Virnig, along with Amy Wilson and Shawn Klimek, decided to try to give the homeless a little hope. The week before Christmas we went door to door and collected food for the local homeless shelter. We decided to focus on collecting food because around the Christmas season, a lot of emphasis is put on toy drives and people sometimes overlook the fact that the homeless still need to eat. In order to broaden our research, we decided to collect food from more than one group of people. We went to an average middle class neighborhood and to a college dormitory. Before we went out into the neighborhood and dorms, we prepared a thank you letter to give to everyone explaining to them who we were, to tell them that we were collecting food for the homeles...

Thank you for everything you have done for me. Thank you for allowing me to get a professional basketball experience when I was such a young age. You gave hope to my parents for sacrificing everything they had, so I could get a good basketball career. Even though I was doubted for being good, you were the only team to give me a chance and that has made me respect your front office greatly. I’ve learned so much from the coaches.
There have been a vast number of lives that have touched mine. Many different people have shared a piece of their soul in my formation. However, it is my mother who is the most important and most influential person in my life. My mother raised me by herself since the day I was born. My father was abusive and she left to make a better life for the both of us. She has worked as many as four jobs at one time. My mother wants to make sure my brothers and I have a better life than she did. It hasn’t always been easy for her, taking care of us on her own, trying to pay bills and making sure we had everything we needed. My mom has always had us involved in sports at a very young age. We always were doing something or involved in something growing up. We went to summer school all through elementary school because she wanted us to get a head start. I remember when we were little she enrolled us I a manners and more class and I can recall when we would go out to eat people would compliment us on how well behaved we were.
