Name a dog that is the most awesome dog in the this world. Yea I bet you were thinking about yorkies and dogs like that ,but the dog I am about to introduce you to is very different.The name of this wild dog is the African Wild Dog. Now this dog isnt just a regular looking dog. It’s a dog that once you look at it , and it will always amaze you every time you see it. Each wild dog has its own unique pattern. The patches are red, black, brown, white, and yellow (national geo). The individuals weigh between 39.5 to 79lbs (national geo).

I know that you’re probably wondering where could such an incredible

animal live. Well this creature mostly lives in arid zones and also in the Savannah. They can also be fount in montane regions and woodland habitats (outtafrica). These dogs are so adapted to where they live that, if an environmental change happens they would become very vulnerable (Arkive).
In order to be healthy don’t you have to feed yourself good things? Well these dogs are the same way. These wild dogs have a diet of rodents and birds (national geo). But hunting there food is nothing easy. They must wake up early in the morning to hunt and also hunt in the late evening (outtafrica). In the movie “Planet Earth” I watched how the pack of wild dogs worked together to hunt sown there prey. These dogs can speed up to 44 miles per hour (world wide). That’s very fast.
The habitat is being changed because they are lossing habitat. They are lossing room to roam (national geo). If they are lossing room to roam in then they are lossing land to hunt in. That makes another problem because that means the fellow dogs will starve. The hunting of this dog is another thing that’s making them endangered. And because of that only 5,500 or less are left (arkive). Farmers fear for there domestic animals and that’s why they hunt them down (national geo).
It is not sold in pet trade. But now that I have told about this great dog. Just don’t forget how they work together to hunt down what they are gonna eat.
