Informative Speech On Canada

Have you ever thought about Canada? Well I have not that much of Canada until now. Therefore I will like to know a like bit more of this country and know the place that one of my brothers favorite youtube. Also want to expand my knowledge of country because I don’t know much. So I will explain Canada’s history of there flag, food, and 21st century problem.

The flag is to represent the people a symbol of your country as for queen Elizabeth II of England raised a new Canadian national flag at Parliament Hill in Ottawa of the capital of Canada. They changed their flag design from the british colony that created “The Red Ensign”. Was a solid red flag with the Union Jack occupying the upper-left corner and a crest situated in the right

portion of the flag.In December 1964, Parliament voted to adopt a new design. Canada’s national flag was to be red and white, the official colors of Canada as decided by King George V of Britain in 1921. The red symbols for hope prosperity, White represents peace and tranquility reflecting neutrality and impartiality of Canadians, and the maple leaf represents Canada's rich cultural heritage and natural resources.
Next up is food everyone's favorite subject. As it come to Canadian food I have not really tried them but maybe as for observing them in my research yes. It is not really traditional food it is more like the food from here but different. But the most popular food are Poutine, Ketchup Chips, Maple Syrup, Bacon, Butter Tarts, Anna Olson Nanaimo Bar, Giant Jos Louis ect. For food they seemed kind of normal but as for one that I personally want to try is the anna olson’s nanaimo bar.
Finally, canada’s problem in the 21st century as to what is going gone. They are having environmental issues in Canada include air and coal exports, pineline, and mining . In mining Canada is home to 75 percent of the world’s mining companies. They recorded murders, rapes, and beatings in the mines owned by Canadian companies worldwide. There is an ongoing public debate about whether new pipelines should be built in Canada. Concerns include global climate change, pipeline leaks, First Nations rights and oil tanker spills. Canada is responsible for shipping large amounts of coal overseas. Burning coal is a major climate change concern because it is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the world. When burned, coal also produces toxic pollutants like mercury and particulate matter; in China alone, coal contributes to 360,000 deaths each year from air pollution.
As for this research of canada a learned a lot from what I used to. As I continued the research I was getting surprised to every detail that came upon but I got more in depth into it I started to see that this is mostly a country of that speak english and french the most. As for the problem it surprised me with the news of how nice the prime minister is to his people. Therefor this is the history with a little of facts about canada.
