One of the most surprising and uncommon events happened to me in the summer of 2015, Sedona, Arizona. It started out as a pleasant summer getaway; visiting the Grand Canyon, Sedona rock slides, and just having an amazing, memorable time with friends and family. One day, we decided that it would be enjoyable to have a picnic in the forest. The trees were deep green and lush. The tranquil, relaxing stream of a nearby river could be heard, and birds were chirping cheerfully. After lunch, we all decided upon venturing deeper into the forest near the river. On a rock, a single bright, pastel green caterpillar- equipped with unique spikes, caught our eyes. None of us had ever seen such a creature. We were captivated and intrigued. Since we were not

Past systems did a wonderful job at reducing the shock and swaying of vehicles, but there is always room for improvement. With so much uncertainty in the modern world, college students are constantly overwhelmed by companies who want their hard-earned and limited cash. In such a confusing environment, it is often difficult to make the correct decision when it comes to important investments, like deciding which car to buy when you go off to college. Most parents are looking for the safest, most reliable cars on the market while also avoiding bankruptcy; peace of mind is hard to come by in this process. Thankfully, Subaru has given the consumer that same peace of mind with the 2014 Subaru Impreza. Consumer Reports gave this vehicle high marks in the most important categories: safety, fuel economy, and overall value. Worried parents and college students alike need not fear any longer because the Subaru Impreza is the rugged, yet refined, answer to all of their most pressing questions.

While Nissan touts the 2014 Maxima as a four door sports car, its performance doesn't quite live up to that moniker as much as it once did. Experts also note that fuel economy is not up to snuff for a car in this class, and that fully loaded models are almost as expensive as sedans from high-end brands. If you have a large family, you may want to pass by the Maxima, which fits only four passengers comfortably and has a comparably low 14.2 cubic feet of trunk space. Still, if you're looking for a mid-sized sedan that's well-rounded and less ubiquitous than more popular cars in this class (especially direct competitors like the Chevrolet Impala, Honda Accord, and Ford Taurus), with more impressive features, the 2014 Maxima is a solid choice.
For many years, unjust treatment of Mexicans and Mexican Americans has occurred in the United States. Over the years, people like Cesar Chavez, Dolores Huerta, and Emma Tenayuca have fought to improve civil rights and better treatment for farm workers. The textbook that I have been reading during the semester for my Chicano History class, Crucible of Struggle: A history of Mexican Americans from Colonial times to the Present Era, discusses some of the most important issues in history that Mexicans and Mexicans Americans have gone through. Some of these problems from the past are still present today. Not all of the racial problems were solved, and there is a lot to be done. I have analyzed two different articles about current historical events that have connections between what is happening today and what had happened in Mexican American History.
Subaru has always tried to bill themselves as pet friendly. Many of their commercials feature dogs, and the back of their wagons and SUVs are supposedly ideal for ferrying forth furry friends. Recently, they took a step beyond ads, and took the initiative to go beyond what any other automaker has done for pets. Subaru and the Center for Pet Safety have gone out and actually tested pet carriers and crates in crash scenarios.

Sam Houston and the American Southwest, written by Randolph B. Campbell, describes the life of Sam Houston and how his experiences led him to become the provincial leader that established many key establishments throughout the southwest including Texas. Campbell presents to the audience how Houston remained a composed man who stuck to his values throughout his life, deciding his actions in ways that are corresponding to his good nature. His actions of rectitude are a statement of what he wanted rather than what others wanted, this can be found in his efforts fighting against discrimination of the Native Americans. His actions have led to not only a great deal of our rights, but any opportunity we are able to seek throughout the united states.
One of the very first things a buyer should consider when looking for a car is what kind of car he/she wants. Many different factors can affect the car buying process. For one, the buyer must consider how big of a vehicle he/she wants and safety features like airbags, seatbelts, and working brakes. Itemizing a list of accessories can also help narrow down what kind of car to buy. While some people might prefer a Sedan with a large back seat and seat warmers, others may prefer an extreme luxury car with full stereo systems and miniature televisions. Every person has different tastes in accessories; luckily, there is a vehicle that can fit almost every personality. Most new models have the latest technology installed, although some of the “newer” used cars have the option of adding in those accessories. Once the...
Over the next few decades, the number of automobiles grew exponentially. But in essence there has been no paradigm shift in personal transportation since Henry Ford’s model T. Today’s cars are better versions of what Ford had built almost a century ago. The future, however, looks more interesting. Rapid industrialization and unchecked growth in population has brought to the front a myriad of problems that were unheard of
