When they do it well, they sell those roasted beans to other local businesses. They'll often train other businesses' employees. They'll run cuppings for coffee shops, and choose partners that care about the products as much as they do.
We've gathered some of the best in California for this post. They are roasteries that care about their local clientele and want to provide the best cup of coffee possible.

Portola Coffee
North of Manhattan, a good cup of coffee is hard to come by; the taste is lacking in strength and not much thought is put into its production. Profit-seeking coffee chains like Dunkin Donuts and Donut Delight are widespread and lack in quality. More often than not, coffee is a $3 afterthought of dessert, rather than a delicacy in itself. Keurig doesn’t offer many products that don’t correspond to the Keurig coffee machines. Keurig is a company that specializes in coffee brewers and their accessories. A few of Keurig’s coffee machines that they offer are the K55, K575, Keurig platinum, and a variety of Single-Serve K cup machines. In addition to these coffee machines, Keurig produces their specialized K-cups for their single-serve machines. The new three-in-one coffee machine fits well into the company’s product mix of coffee brewers and accessories. It will be a nice addition to the mix that contributes something new for the company. I expect this product to encourage Keurig’s loyal customers to try something new, and to encourage other coffee lovers to try the experience that many others have not had the opportunity to
The most important part of the cup of coffee, the coffee beans, is typically harvested from South America, mainly because of the fact that Starbucks uses Arabica beans (Weinberg 1), which is dependent on a temperate climate that exists on the majority of the continent. The country that provides the biggest market supply of coffee beans for Starbucks is Brazil ...
The larger serving size of Great Cups of Coffee is perhaps the most apparent gage that will improve appeal for the company’s customers. Receiving extra of a proportionately quality product for a comparable price obviously works as an enticement for customers to prefer Great Cups more than the opposition. While customers identify with a better quality and superior taste with fresher coffee, Great Cups supports its effective model of serving coffee that has been roasted no more 72 hours ago and that is blended and ground right at the store. Great Cups also provides as an unintended marketing method community bulletin boards and assists with book club gatherings as well as

When Starbucks started their target market were people who enjoyed coffee not just for the energy boost that they got from the caffeine, but people who enjoyed sitting down and drinking a well-prepared cup of coffee. Upon visiting Italy and falling in love with the coffee bars and the experience that they offered, Schultz envisioned a place between home and work where you could just sit and enjoy your coffee. Starbucks wanted to control their coffee from “raw green bean to the steaming cup” this meant that they had to talk with their farmers to make sure the quality was up to their standards. They
As we know, Starbucks has made a name for itself making and selling coffee and specialty coffee drinks. It has made its biggest impression by becoming the espresso expert and public educator of how to make the perfect espresso; "Roasters" of the company are trained for one year.
The voice-over says, “There is no sun like the sun of Columbia. It shines on our land with special intensity for the right amount of days to give our coffee a special richness”. The shot then cuts to Juan Valdez picking coffee, and the voice-over says, “Here men such as Juan Valdez pick the coffee with pride. There is no other coffee except Columbian” .

Starbucks also leveraged the fact that since Japanese loved their tradition and national festivals, it developed limited-time seasonal drinks such as the Sakura (cherry blossom) Frappuccino, Christmas season Frappuccino, Baked Strawberry Cheesecake Frappuccino, Chocolate Brownie Matcha, Cantaloupe Melon and Cream Frappuccino, Azuki Matcha Frappuccino and many more. Some of the Starbucks Japan's stores offer wine and beer, but the coffee giant introduced its own cocktail concoction, called the "Wine Fraggino.". The cocktail is actually a Frappuccino but the caffeine is replaced with a specialty blueberry wine. Not only did Starbucks Japan make changes in its product offerings, it also removed their signature service of asking for a customer’s name when writing down their order as a result of the Japanese highly valuing their privacy and Japanese etiquette that dictates that Starbucks customers be called by the items they order, not their
I waited to enjoy the first cup with my boyfriend: Costa Rican Peaberry. A milder coffee with what he calls 'a winey aftertaste ' it 's the perfect dessert coffee. French Roast is drunk in the morning and the Costa Rican Peaberry is usually with butter cookies at night. My next shipment includes Peruvian Organic and Mocca Java, $7.25 and $6.75. A package of coffee with Gevalia will set you back anywhere between $5.95-$24.95. Deliveries are every five weeks but you can suspend them anywhere between two and twenty-five weeks, which means you can go about six months with no deliveries if you like. You can place all of your orders on-line and change them as many times you like up until the shipping date. In addition to wonderfully roasted coffees they have teas, hot cocoa, cookies, sweets and plenty of gift packages. They also offer kitchen accessories, bread and dinnerware. Overall, my experience with Gevalia Kaffe has been very positive. I looked forward to my deliveries every five weeks and find myself turning my nose up at
