Dealing with matters of national security is no joke, especially for anybody who works in the aviation field. Hundreds, if not thousands, of threats are made every day against the security of the United States, and many of these instance occur within airports or are directed towards airplanes. There has been an increase in aviation security and overall airport security as a result of the attack on September 11, 2011. Due to the increase of threats and needed authority to counteract and diminish these cases, the seriousness of security at any airline and airport is of one of the highest priorities in the nation. This is important to the job because many of the meetings are scheduled through e-mail which is installed on the computers, and the job itself deals with countless security threats every week. A major component of these threats is bringing illegal substances onto a plane or through security into an airport where they could cause harm. From this, knowing how the machines that screen bags for security work is essential so if there is an issue then there is an executive that will have an idea of how to resolve the problem. There are not any physical tools required for the job, but there is an extensive amount of leadership and personal tools that are necessary. A highly encouraged personal tool is having the ability to form professional relationships with company leaders and Federal officials, and being able to work with all Federal leaders regardless of their political philosophy. This is important to the job because if there is not a healthy professional relationship between the officials and the incumbent, then accomplishing work will be more difficult and the differences would be potentially putting the security of lives at
