Finding one may even seem like a job itself. The need for professionals to observe our teeth isn't declining. Having a good salary, a low unemployment rate and a stable work life makes dentistry a #1 in best health care jobs. Typical dentists don’t retire until around their 60s, so workers might as well have a job that’s enjoyable and a career that's fulfilling. Who wouldn’t want a job that maintains a low stress level, and potential to get promoted and earn a higher salary would make numerous employees happy.
Dentists hold about 151,500 jobs in the United States today. Most dentists own their own businesses and work alone or with a small staff. About 1 out of 4 dentists are self-employed.
