Scientists have conducted research and have made tests to see if dogs are really smart. I think the answer is yes. Now I know what you're going to say, ” There's no way they're going to pass my IQ score or graduate from Harvard,” and you're right. They have the brain power of a toddler, BUT they have an incredible sense of smell, have great hearing and amazing eyesight. Dogs can detect when a person is coming and they have a huge emotional attachment to people. They can understand us, and in rare cases can detect when a person is about to have a stroke.
Let’s now talk about dogs hearing, smell, and sight. First, they can understand what we're saying, in a certain way. When you're trying to teach your dog tricks, over time they learn what
Something such as, if the pet was hurt, hungry or needed something and they could express to the owner for that specific need could be very beneficial. Although, as humans are very sensitive and have a lot of harsh outcomes in life, it can also be very painful for animals to go through deaths, bad moments, and even everyday life. Hermes and Apollo are Gods who believe in such different areas. The percentage of dogs that lived a happy life compared to the ones who did not is very significant. Dogs, or any animal, should not have human intelligence.
Service dogs are a low risk treatment, that can replace dangerous medication and expensive devices. For a purebred service dog is $20,000, however there are non profit organizations that provide service dogs at a much lower cost, but there is usually a long wait list (“Costs”). ASDA (Autism Service Dogs of America) sets a donation goal of $13,500 for every approved family, which is always achieved. Another option is buying the dog from a breeder and paying for the training and accessories. If a puppy is purchased from a dog breeder for around $2,500, in two years time the dog would have costed around $5,200 dollars. The rest of the $ 2,700 comes from vet bills, service gear, training expenses, food, treats, and toys. (“Service”) Getting a dog from a rescue center will cost about the same amount because usually vet bills and training expenses are incrases. However in the long run the owner is most likely to spend more money on a rescue dog, because they often have more issues, physically and mentally which cause them to wear out faster. There is no health insurance that cover service animals. Service dogs however do replace the nasty side effects of some medication, and devices that won't provide companionship. Although the average hearing aid costs $4,000, hearing aides need replaced as the person grows, and need repairs as well, putting the total
Pit Bulls are without a doubt my favorite dog, I adore them. Pit Bulls are very well tempered, loyal, and resilient animals. Bred for big game hunting, Pit Bulls are strong, fierce animals and people who have the wrong intentions for ownership should never own them. I am a strong believer that a potential pet owner should do lots of research before getting any type of animal, without exception. Owners should do as much research before getting a dog as they do in planning for a new home or any other new family member. One of the main things to really think about and understand is your intentions for your selection of an animal with the breeding of the Pit Bull. If you choose a dog with the wrong intentions, specifically a Pit Bull, you will get a dog that behaves aggressively and is dangerous. This owner behavior is what has caused the current plight of the Pit Bull today, where laws have been passed in thirteen states and hundreds of municipalities, as well as every U. S. Military base, banning the ownership of the breed and forcing shelters to euphonize Pit Bulls within 24 hours. These laws are unjust and cruel, and victimize the breed based on the owners’ behavior. I also argue that the blame for the epidemic proportions that the laws have reached is 100% the fault of owners who purposely acquired the Pit Bull with the intention to abuse and fight the dogs, and that these owners are the ones who should be punished, not the dogs. Have you ever wandered what it would be like if animals had human intellegence? Animals communicate with each other in ways that are meaningful to them, but imagine your dog tells you that he wants a treat or go out for a walk. What if one day animals are able to speak the words humans can actually understand? In the novel Fifteen Dogs by André Alexis, after the gods Hermes and Apollo grant human consciousness and language to a group of dogs in the veterinary clinic in Toronto, Majnoun, a black poodle, eventually reveals his ability to speak English to his human master, a woman named Nira. Although the revelation of his new intelligence to learn the human way of speaking initially threatens their relationship, however, a close bond soon developed between the woman and the dog over the

They are pack animals, which means people should spend lots of time with them, so they do not get lonely. A dog goes woof, bark, growl or howl, which is the complete opposite of a cat. The canine group also has a defined social status, and they strictly determine their order of rank. The deciding factor in dogs is the tail and how high they hold their tail is how they determine pack position. If one dog meets another dog, and one holds its tail up, it that indicates it is the of the higher social class. Another noticeable difference between dogs and cats is that dogs are usually much bigger than cats. Dogs are also somewhat smarter than cats in the area of verbal command. For example, one can call the dog by name and usually it will come to, unlike a cat. Also, one can train dogs to do a trick on command.
