In the world where stress pains, rash, and restlessness resides it is very hard to find happiness. Even in this tight situation, everybody finds their own way to get happiness. For me, music is something that makes me happy and gives a deep feeling of peace to my mind and heart. Music is not just an art for me, “Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything” (Plato). It is my way of escaping from this stressful world and getting lost in my beautiful world where peace abide. Music changes my mood instantly. For instance, I listen soulful music when I am sad, during studying and before sleeping, I hear peaceful hymns and I hear energetic Bollywood music when I am working out or doing some hard task.
Music has a sole language; a language of love which reaches directly to my heart. Through heart it touches to my soul and gives me deep instinct of peace. “When I 'm listening to music, with my headphones on, it shuts out the rest of the world, and takes me to another place” (Bird).

It is slow, peaceful, relaxing and expresses the feeling and emotion of the singer. It motivates me to move forward and inspires me to do good things even though I had experienced something bad. It gives me a message that everything would be fine and takes all my stress away. ”One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain” (Marley). And it is true that I forget all my pain as soon as I put some soulful music on. The moment when a sound of the song reaches my ear, I close my eyes, which make me feel like I am in the world where nobody else exists and started flowing along the lyrics of the song and starts singing along. And soon I realize that all my pain was falling between the cracks and I am free from all worldly tensions. In short, soulful music realize pain and take person to the
I can’t touch music, but it touches me. I cannot exist without it. Music surrounds me and envelops me. The music isn’t just background noise, it has power. The lyrics beat and intensity can fill me with angst, sadden me, pump me up and help me relax. Music is life and it has power. It helps me delve deep into my personality and individuality and has helped me discover a more introspective side of myself. However, it wasn’t always like this.
I think music has a way of explaining something or telling a story. Music can bring up happy times, it can also bring up sad times as well. Certain songs can remind someone of troubling issues from a past, can be the reminder of someone you have lost, it can also be a reminder of many happy times; such as weddings, high school dances, or even just hanging out with friends in the back
If one were to look back into the world’s history, one would find that an important and consistent element is the world of music. Music has presented itself in various forms throughout its spread and through our identification of its magical realm, people have been fortunate enough to come across a means of relation. Whether it is blues and reggae or rap and pop rock, there is music out there for everyone. Music can serve as a stabilizer for some, a relaxant to others, and to many a form of inspiration.
Music is something that I believe we could not live without. There is a quote by a philosopher named Friedrich Nietzschethat says “without music, life would be a mistake”. I interpret this to mean that humans would not be creative if it were not for music. There is a reason that music can take us where word cannot. When you hear so many different sounds coming together to make a perfect harmony it is obvious that no words can make you feel the same way as the music. The best thing about music is that there are literally too many genres to choose from. There are different genres of music for any mood you are in. The origins behind these different genres is an interesting and rich history that is begging to be studied and written about. Let me explain....
Music in my life is really has become a positive thing. I get to relax when I am stressed out, or it gets me pumped up before I do something that would be hard for me or that would need a lot of work for me to do. If I am studying, I would listen to music that is calming with lyrics or with a very good beat such as dubstep. When I am really stressed out with school, I like to lie down and listen to alternative music such as Fall Out Boy, Cage the Elephant, or Twenty One Pilots to calm me
It is true that music has a compact link to our emotions. Music assists people to overcome the bad situations in their life, just like it did for Sonny, the barmaid, or some other people in the Harlem. Music has a tremendous effect on people’s mind because it makes them feel relax and comfortable, especially the soft classical music. It helps distressed people to stay smooth and peaceful. In fact, music is a remarkable way to ease our stress.
Music is one of the most fantastical forms of entertainment. Its history stretches all the way from the primitive polyrhythmic drums in Africa to our modern day pop music we listen to on our phones. It has the ability to amaze us, to capture our attention and leave us in awe. It soothes the hearts of billions, and it is so deeply rooted in my life that it has touched my heart as well. Everyday I walk to the beat of the song stuck in my head and hum along to the melody. For me, to listen to music be lifted into the air by the hands of your imagination and float around for a while. You forget about your worries, your troubles and find peace within the sound. Every chapter in my life is attached with a song. Every time I listen to a certain song, thoughts of my past come flooding back
Throughout my life, music has always been a major influence. It has the power to change my mood when I'm feeling down, but the thing I find most intriguing about music is that it doesn't always end up improving your mood: like all forms of art, it imitates life, which is not always portrayed in a positive light. The musicians that I admire most have the versatility to induce several different emotional responses in the same piece. This quality is present in most of the wide variety of music I listen to, from Russian composer Dmiti Shostakovich, to Chicago jazz band Tortoise, to California pop/rock sextet Mr. Bungle.
Music is that one friend that will always be there and will never judge us. It changes and has a huge impact on lives tremendously. There will always be that one song that can make a person get up and go. Sometimes, when we are sick it helps to take away some of the sorrow, pain, and it comforts us the best way it can. (White)
Music is one of the few things that has remained constant through the centuries this world has existed. Not only does music provide entertainment, it also has several effects linked to it. Music allows emotions of happiness and sadness to arise. From those emotions, physical effects, negative or positive, can occur. Music has a profound effect on the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical aspects of a person.
Music has always been a big part of my life. Music is not just a bunch of melodies, rhythms, and vibrant sounds. It is a comfort to me. The lyrics of a song challenge my intellect and the rhythms and beats affect my emotions. Music understands me when people don’t. At times it takes me back to an event in my life or even in history. Both consciously and subconsciously my mind remembers the emotions that are attached to a certain song. It can make me feel on top of the world or the complete opposite; music can change the atmosphere and also set the mood. Music has power over my human soul. It soothes it. I cannot imagine not having music to listen to. It is a powerful force and my love for it is incredible.
Music, a form of art, made up of unique and special sounds containing elements of pitch and rhythm can powerfully soothe one’s soul. Firstly, there are different types of music, and each has its own features. These sounds and features are what I admire in music because to me it creates a new form of communication to one’s consciousness. It stimulates our mind and gives it a sense of harmony and peace through the hardships that life poses for us. As a kid, I would always listen to music from any genre, deciding which genre would complement me the most as I grew older. In middle school, I remember going on the computer and finding a website/program where I could make my own beats. From that day on, I spent countless of hours each day making sure the tune sounded proper and pleasurable for my ears. At first, it wasn’t good, but eventua...
It has been justify by the researchers that music has a big impact on our emotions or mood. It is because of the rhythm and tone that we hear when we listen to music. When we listen to a rhythm, our heart beats actually begins to flow or synch with it. Tones are also highly significant, when you hear a pleasing tone and it is easy to remember you can do it actually. Music composed in a major key and usually sounds happier, joyful, lively etc. and music is also composed in a minor key normally sounds sadder, alone in darkness etc. Music may cause you to feel a lot of expression. and sometimes you can feel more than one emotion during a song. As the researcher sigth, music not only affects what kind of emotions we may be in, but we also seem to have a habit of choosing music based on the emotion we are already feeling.
Another thing that makes me feel joyful is listening to music. I can’t envisage a world without music. Music makes life more stimulating, and adds more profoundness in our lives. It can be used as an outlet to help us through rough patches in our lives. It can also help create great memories that can last forever. Music relieves stresses in my everyday life. I can listen to it basically anywhere I
Through music we are able to comprehend someone’s personality, their views, their culture, and who they are as an overall person. The music you listen to is a reflection of who you are and your own personal thoughts. As I reflect on the music I listen to I came to the conclusion that I gravitate towards songs that depict the emotions we feel through lyrics while being able to relate it to my own personal experiences.
