There was many positive and negative effects during the Industrial Revolution but most of them were negative for factory workers. During that time there were many factory owners that needed workers so there was gonna be a lot of job opening and that meant that some young children had to start working at a young for their families. That also meant that there was gonna be a lot of black pollution that was bad for adults and children. With the result of that the death rates increased. Many people started working very young and they did not get a lot of sleep and also did not get treated very well. In document one Sadler Committee interviewed one of the workers named William Cooper and he stated “I started to work when I was ten years
of age.” Sadler also asked him “what means were taken to keep you awake and attentive?” Cooper answered “at times we were frequently strapped” (document one). They started working so young they never had time for school. They should have let the workers have a break instead of hitting them and miss treating them. This led up to a revolutionary time period as to where children worked instead of getting their education. A lot of children were going to the factories instead of getting their education. In document three Andrew Ure wrote how he visited many factories and stated “I never saw a single instance of corporal chastisement [beating] inflicted on a child.” The children should not even be in the factories as a result the black smoke is not good for them because they can get lung cancer and factories are just not a safe environment for kids to be in. For a factory owner that would be a positive effect because they can make more money if the children start young. This led up to a revolutionary time period as to where the death rate increased. So many people were dying from lung cancer and getting sick that it was just really bad. In document thirteen Joseph Hebergam states, “people have damaged lungs.” The dust and pollution caused people to get sick. To many people were dying. At the end the Industrial Revolution had many positive and negative effects but mostly negative that made many young children work at a young age and so that meant there was gonna be a lot of black smoke from the factories and all that lead up to people dying.
The Industrial Revolution had both positive and negative effects on the lives of adults and children during that time period. There are many pros and cons to the Industrial Revolution. As stated in Document 4, you are surrounded by an infinite number of comforts and conveniences which had no existence two or three centuries ago.
The impact of the Industrial Revolution was a positive experience for some, but it was a great difficulty for others. Because of the demands for reform and protection for workers arose, government and unions began to take place. That was how the evils of the Industrial Revolution addressed in England in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
The industrial revolution had mainly negative effects. The industrial revolution was a time in world history that has technically never ended. It is the time when society started to mass produce goods in order to provide enough goods for the booming population. People started to move from villages to cities where factories were looking for workers. New medical advances were made and people began to live longer. While some might argue that industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because of the increased amount of new and cheaper products, it was actually a negative thing for society. Industrialization’s negative effects were the dangerous and sometimes lethal work areas, poor living conditions and cramped housing,
Great Britain lead the way for industrialization and made it spread through out Europe. Some consider this the best thing to have happened in the world. Others however see this as a bad thing. Of course, with such a big change came an effect over all people such as reformers and the government but the greatest effect was upon the workers. Since the 19th century, industrialization has had positive and negative effects on the lives of workers.
The Industrial Revolution has brought a major transformation to the American society. New technologies and advancements changed the way Americans viewed their world. Gender issues, social class, immigration, relations with Native Americans, and slavery were either positively or negatively impacted by the revolution. Nevertheless, the United States’ huge step toward progress during the Industrial Revolution made a lasting impression in American society.
The Industrial Revolution was a time of great change and increased efficiency. No more would be goods be produced by sole means of farming and agriculture, but now by the use of machinery and factories. Technology was beginning to increase along with the food supply as well as the population. However, this increase in population would greatly impact the social aspect of that time. Urbanization was becoming much more widespread. Cities were becoming overwhelmingly crowded and there was an increase in disease as well as harsh child labor. Although child labor would be reduced somewhat due to unions, the Industrial Revolution still contained both it’s positive and negative results.
Factory workers were being mistreated while factory owners were careless and lived stress free. Majority of the consumers would work so many hours a day and get paid very little for the week, there was also rough working conditions for adults and as well for young children to work it. During the Industrial Revolution there were some positive and negative effects that affected consumers economically and with their health as well.
Life was terrible and bleak for people back then. With many factories being built in the urban areas, more problems began. Young people worked there until they were no longer living or capable of working. They caused pollution, spread of disease was horrible, and the medical attention wasn't as good as today. Some positive things did happen during the Industrial Revolution, many business were developed.
The Industrial Revolution had negative immediate effects but positive long-term effects on the lives of the people. The Industrial Revolution was important because it changed how we produce material goods dramatically making the process faster without using manual labor. Although the Industrial Revolution had a positive effect on the economy the immediate effects of the revolution were the workers living in atrocious conditions, working in unsafe factories, and given unfair wages. The revolution was negative for the people at the time but in the long-term helped create labor unions, government regulations,
The Industrial Revolution was a huge event that changed the life of everyone in many different aspects, it was a time of growth and evolution. Even though at that time the conditions were terrible the benefits came long term, the developments and inventions such as transportation and machines were amazing and made life so much easier. It is true that this caused a lot of suffering to many people and I think this is really bad because they could have made the same thing without all that suffering and in better conditions so we have to thank all those people for what we have now. In my opinion it changed the way of history and without it we wouldn´t have many things that we have now, the revolution was the base for many inventions that we already
The Industrial Revolution started in America in the 18th-19th century. It was the catalyst that made life easier by operating machinery to manufacture products at a faster rate. The sudden increase of production brought in huge profits for factory owners and made consumer technology accessible for middle class people. It also created a demand for hard-working laborers and resources to trade. If society never created industrial machines, life today would be a lot harder without the transportation, education, and technology to make it easier. With all this in mind, it's reasonable to justify that the Industrial Revolution had a positive effect on American society.
The Industrial Revolution was a time of change. The growth of factories replaced the home industries and started the development of large cities. These growing cities with their factories created changes not only to the people’s working conditions but also to the transportation and type of labor. There were many positive economic changes and advancements however, along with those positive economic changes there were many negative changes to the social life and the workers overall health. 3Life in the factory was most challenging for the first generation of industrial workers who still remembered the slower and more flexible pace of country life. Factory employers demanded a complete change of pace and discipline from the village life.
While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily negative consequences for society because of the child labor, unfair firing laws, and horrible living conditions, it was actually a positive thing for society. Industrialization’s positive effects were new inventions were being created and put into use; things such as housing, transportation, and jobs were more common for people; and people would live longer due to healthy foods being grown. There were both many positive and negative things that had happened during the Industrial Revolution. Overall, more positive effects came out of it.
The effects of the Industrial Revolution was more negative because even though this revolution created many positive effects, there were more negative outcomes. This revolution created many negative effects throughout France, effecting the people, effecting the world, and the Industrial Revolution was really dangerous to many. It would affect the environment, and also putting many people at risk and also, the possibility of having people lose their jobs. Even though the Industrial Revolution was to do well it actually did badly.

Industrialization’s negative effects were child labor, working long hours and dangerous positions.
