According to Lucinda Basset “You have to do what you love to do, not get stuck in that comfort zone of a regular job. Life is not a dress rehearsal. This is it.” So as I went on through high school the most important things i have learned is how to read and write better (almost like an author) as my English teacher, Mr. Ruoff, is an amazing teacher and knows what he's doing, He teaches us to be better at writing assessments and important things we will use in college as we graduate. Another thing i learned in life is that you should dream big and go for it, get good grades, make it to 12th grade, and graduate and if you really want to become something good you should go to college and study as much as needed because when you finally reach that goal you have been trying to reach for so long nothing can stop you from getting what you want in life. I have finally reached 12th grade and I’m going to graduate. I also got accepted into Scarlet Oaks for next year. Everything is going great and as it should because I never gave up on my dreams and I never will, there may be a few times when you feel like giving up but you have to think about why you have come so far …show more content…

Learn how to get through tough decisions and many struggles you will go through in life, because there are much more complications to come no matter
High school is where I had gained an awareness about how what I 'm learning in school is going to benefit me in the real world. I learned an retain a variety of information because the things that I did learn I felt like you would need to know to survive in the real world. A perfect example of this is driver 's ed where I learned to drive something that I do everyday frequently. Another reason why I learned and retain so much I because when I got into high school is around the same time I got my first job. This definitely opened the door in showing me how what I 'm learning in school applies to everyday work activities such as knowing and counting money this is where math comes in. Being able to talk and communicate writing and verbally this is where English comes in. All things that I needed to do in everyday
To my great fortune, I've had many people help me along the way who didn't have to and who stood nothing to gain by helping me. Teachers gave me after-hours help; when I didn't know how I would pay for school, the financial aid office gave me a scholarship. These people helped me for no reason other than the mere fact that I am a human being, worthy of help when in need. Although I didn't have faith, they gave me hope.
“Follow your heart. Life is not a straight line there are lots of curves, circles, and detours. Each and every experience will give you something valuable. Keep close to those you love and who love you. Family is so important. Always do your best, be honest with yourself and others, have integrity, be dependable, like who you are, change what you don't like, keep learning, keep trying, you are better than you think.” (Rodríguez)
Honestly if I was to go back in time I’d change all of my mistakes and make the right decisions which are to block out the people that accounted for my failure. Allowing obstacles to bring you down even though you have the capability to overcome them isn’t the right way to go if you want to be successful. In order to be successful you need to learn who to associate yourself with so you can mainly focus on the goals you want to archive to make you better mentally and physically. Having a better mindset is good for obtaining success because you will be able to think more positively about what you need to do. My freshman year could have gone way better if I applied this method to my life which is why you should apply it to yours. Learn from my mistakes and don’t follow the path I journeyed into as a
And in the end, I was on the path to not being able to walk out of high school in time. And I felt like I was being one of those people who had given up on their hopes and dream. But one person reached out to me and helped me to find more and more hope and also figure who I will become in the future. In order to find more hope, I had to keep working my ass off to find more hope and opportunities to improve, motivate, and also try to balance my current lifestyle. By then, I was able to complete and remake all the classes I needed, and I was able to graduate. I am not the person I once knew myself as but now, I am a different person who is willing to do his best even if it mean giving it all I have and not being able to finish because I know that the next day that I’m going to improve and keep hoping for a better future. That is why this quote speaks to
When I think about what counts as learning to me, I think about my life. Just being able to live in this world to me is a learning experience, because I feel that my life is full of lessons and I believe that it takes lessons to learn in life. I feel that I have learned to understand learning more and to also understand the value of learning. As I get older I can comprehend subject matters more than I could ever do before. I am learning to be more serious and I find myself not taking life for granted anymore.
Overcoming obstacles in life makes you feel more confident, obstacles in life builds character and they will make us work harder which leads to success. To begin with, you need confidence in life. Confidence will help you get through a lot of things. Obstacles, being one them, are in need of a lot of confidence. You need to beleive in yourself to get through obstacles, you can’t give up or get down on yourself.
The most important thing that I have learned in my life is the importance of education. Living in a world bursting with advantages and opportunities for those in education, I find it both a priority and privilege to share the gift of knowledge with the future of society. Even more, I find it an honor to be able to have the chance.
High school taught me that giving up is not an option. My teachers didn't give up on me. So why should I give up on them? This is why high school is important and why you should be ready to learn and you might find something you like and make into your career. When you graduate hold your head high and say “I made it!”
University, to me, is a totally different concept from high school, where teachers, expert in their specific field, would introduce you to the beauty of it. Yet, after my two-and-half-year college life, I gradually come to realize that although professors at college are good at teaching, the most important thing I have learned is to learn by oneself.
I learned a lot more than I expected to in UNI and it was not all school related, I learned a lot of important life lessons while having a good time in class. I did not love reading from the book but I found that most of the time the readings were very useful. I enjoyed the readings that were not in the book, they usually had a really good message to take away. Overall, the ones that had the most impact on me were ‘There’s More to Life Than Being Happy,’ ‘It’s Not Just the Money,’ Reflection and Learning from Experiences,’ Inside the Mindsets,’ and ‘Letters to a Freshman.’
School is only for the open minded and strong, the weak cannot survive. You may have learned about math, science, social studies, and language arts but only a handful of students actually learn lifelong lessons to be in a productive society. School holds many things in its classrooms and hallways. Having great teachers and mentors will benefit you in school. Their wisdom and knowledge will contribute to you in ways unimaginable. School can teach you plenty and these are a couple of the many of things I have learned over the 3 years I have attended Eagles Landing Middle School. To begin, I was always a spoiled rotten "know it all" and none of my teachers could tell me I was wrong without me having to be disrespectful and malcontent. I was constantly sent to the principal office and I.S.S with Ms.Temple. Talking was one of the most terrible things I did. I would take all day long so I could be seen as a rebel, cool, and a leader. My teachers called me into a meeting that consisted of me, Ms.Resse, Ms.Bullin, Ms.Smith, and Ms.Hariss. They all told me that I was bright and...
What I Learned In and Out of College: A Retrospect (Still) In Progress In September 2014, I entered my first year at UC San Diego as a Political Science major. I came in with a rather quiet and mild personality with dreams of becoming a lawyer floating around in my head. My biggest hurdle was my self-doubt and lack of confidence in my abilities.
Some have learned to be strong gradually, with support from their family and/or friends, however, I had learned to overcome my own personal struggles alone. Throughout my whole life, and even now, I constantly face obstacles and little support but I thankfully have the courage to overcome each and every one. The first personal and defining struggle of my life was from my days as a competitive swimmer. I had joined the local swim team for fun but had slowly grown more involved in the sport I came to love.
Those obstacles have made me a stronger person than I was before and I am thankful for them. I also have God to thank because without him, I wouldn 't have made it through these past four years. He was with me the entire journey, even in the moments where it seemed like he wasn 't. With college I will further my computer career making more successful in the field I enjoy doing. The gateway to a good future is college and that is why I plan on going to college. College is the most important goal of my life. It is the goal that I mostly focused on throughout my entire career. This year is the most important year of my life: it is the turning point of my life. The way I act, what I do, the classes I take. Everything matters. My future is before me and I am not sure if I can walk the road which I plan. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said "Life is a journey, not a
