This can be from little events such as taking a different turn, to huge life changing events. These moments can cause huge outcomes that drastically change the future. Stories often show this throughout them. Stories can have small events that are not thought about, that cause moments that completely change what happens in the story. They become friends due to their intelligence and individuality and hang out all the time. First, the boys, who had already met a few years ago at a play, were in class making jokes and smart remarks when the teacher told them that they could leave. Their teacher recommended they stop by the library because there “[was] a presentation about Seton Hall University in the library” (Draper 94). This moment changed everything because as the boys were headed to the gym, they were stopped by the principal and forced to go to the library and learn about the program. As a result, the boys considered college as an actual option. Then they spent all of their time working to get accepted into the program, so, they ended up going to college. Ultimately, they became successful doctors, writers, and speakers. However, the boys never left class or ended up in the gym. Then they never would have heard of the program. So, they would not have gone to college, therefore, they would not have been successful. Consequently, they would end up dead, still in the struggle, or in prison.
