Water is a vital part for the function of organisms, as it is involved in the “energetics” of molecular interactions and conformational adaption of macromolecules in animal and plant cells, due to its structure, flexibility and several unique properties (Rand, 2004). In an organism’s cell, various types of water are present. They are known as bound, hydration, vicinal and bulk water. 95% of watery body fluid is composed of bulk water, since they function as “space filling medium”, which supports life and creates an aqueous medium for cellular reactions (Watterson, 1987).
The precious gift of water, we drink it to stay hydrated, bathe in it, are able to grow produce, harvest electricity from it, clean with it, etc. On a molecular level, plants and animals rely on water to produce and survive. Within the cell of an organism, there are different variations of water contained inside. The different types of water are what makes the creation of life possible on earth. Water consists of very unique chemical and physical properties. Water properties such as adhesion and cohesion interact with all of earths molecules. A perfect example of this is during a rainstorm. With the help of gravity, oxygen, and hydrogen atoms that are contained in the water; the rain sprinkles that landed on a leaf start to adhere to one another, and create cohesion by forming one big single drop that falls to the ground. How the Properties of Water are Related to Its Roles in Living Organisms and as a Living Environment for Living Organisms
Each water molecule consists of one oxygen atom and two hydrogen atoms. The oxygen atom (or the apex of the water molecule) bears a slight electronegative charge while hydrogen possesses a more positive one. Because opposite charges attract, the water molecules are drawn together. When an oxygen atom is linked to a neighboring molecule's hydrogen atom, a bond called a hydrogen bond is formed. In an ice crystal the hydrogen bonds to give the shape of the crystal so that the grid of molecules surrounds relatively to large spaces. In a liquid form, water has no such spaces; so ice is less dense and will float on liquid water. If not for this, great bodies of water would freeze from the bottom up without the insulation of a top layer of ice and all life in the water would die.
The water cycle is the continuous movement of water on, above and below the surface of the Earth where water moves from one reservoir to another, such as from river to ocean, or from the ocean to the atmosphere, by the physical processes of evaporation, condensation, precipitation, infiltration, surface runoff, and subsurface flow. In this process, the water goes through different phases: liquid, solid and vapour.

It might be easier to live a healthy life for many people, but for others it can be very challenging. I have tried to be healthy so many times, but I always fell off the wagon. For many days I would “feel” healthy, but in reality I was not the healthiest person mentally or physically. I knew that I had to change my behavior, and become healthier (or at least almost healthy) if I wanted to live a longer life. I began my journey by drinking more water, balancing my eating with exerting, all while trying to stay mentally well.
