A presentation refers to delivering or informing an audience about a topic in either a formal or casual manner. Delivering a presentation puts one in the public’s eye, therefore it has to be done in a very professional, organised and informative manner. One of the most important points when delivering a presentation is the need to be able to draw the crowd’s attention as well as keeping the crowd entertained while informing them of the specific topic the presentation is based on. There are many skills which can be developed when delivering presentations, for instance to deliver the presentation lively, flexible and in an interesting way. Confidence will enable one to be able to do quite a lot of the “do’s” such as speaking loud and clear, maintaining positive body language and so on, a lot also depends on preparation and knowledge about the topic, this will help the speaker in many ways such as being able to answer the crowds questions easily and more informative as well as most importantly aid the speaker in not reading from the slides. Good presenting skills can be developed and I think whoever is going to deliver a presentation must certainly just follow the do’s and
