Throughout my academic career I have accomplished various achievements and been presented with many challenges. Nonetheless, these experiences were necessary in molding me into the student I am today. High school allowed me to conquer many of my goals. My first achievement is one that many may see as mundane. After debating whether I should enroll myself in my school 's driving course, I took the plunge. It was my junior year of high school and after seeing so many pupils my age begin to drive and become independent, I knew it was time for me to do so as well. I am glad that I now am free from the constraints of my parents. I am am also thankful that my friend Brenda is also attending UCF. Having her around has aided me in adjusting to college. One of the challenges I have faced thus far, is when I was enrolled in a strictly online course during the summer for Psychology. I struggled with the fast paced nature of the class and also its online components. I am looking forward to being able to take more art classes so that I can go further into my major and improve my artistic skills. Being able to experience different approaches to art while surrounded by other aspiring artists also excites me. I hope to join the illustration club so that I may be more involved with like-minded, creative individuals. My behavior in class has been shaped by my experiences. I believe my professors would most likely describe me as quiet, attentive, and curious. I usually do not talk much in my classes, because I do not know many people and I want to focus on the content of the course. I am attentive to my professors when they speak and take the notes they present. I would be described as curious, because I often stay after class to ask questions. Now that I have begun my college journey I hope that I can use the challenges I have overcome in the past as learning experiences to further my academic
I endeavor to obtain excellence in my academics; I wish to exemplify scholarship by constantly asking the whys and hows of things. I will not let a bad grade define who I am as a student or who I will become. I also want to take the most challenging classes available, not because it will look good on my college application, but because I genuinely love the concept of learning and discovering new things. Education doesn’t end after high school, so I plan to attend university, eager to attain the knowledge to better understand my world: and expand it.
My extracurricular and academic activities have helped mold me into a person with character and good qualities. These qualities--respect, humility, kindness, ambition, appreciation for diversity and collaboration, and courage--have not come without valuable failures and lessons. I can continue to develop these qualities and build upon these lessons as I go forward with my university goals and the desire I have to enter the healthcare profession as a nurse. I am able to look beyond the exciting, glamorous parts of both and see that there will be lots of hard work and difficulty. I am ready to face those challenges and do my best and give my all.

During my years in high school, I have learned many valuable lessons. I’m proud of the person I am becoming. Life has not been easy, but thankfully I’m a strong hard worker. I started high school with a high GPA, and never intended for it to drop throughout my years. Within the last three years, I’ve moved around, participated in sports, and got a job.

In a society where kids must go to school up to the collegiate level, teaching is an impactful career choice. Teachers help contour the minds of future leaders of the world. Furthermore, teachers play a crucial role in guiding students to the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need to succeed in life, and teachers lead students to make informed decisions on any topic the meet in the future. As a teacher, a person must relinquish their knowledge onto students. Finally, they must prepare their students for all the obstacles they will face later in life.
I have learned that I am not the amazing communicator I once thought I was. I have many skills to practice and develop to become an effective communicator. Discovering my working style has allowed me to look more closely at my roles in various groups at work and understand why these groups don’t always work. I was also able to take away a better understanding for my learning styles and how to embrace them instead of trying to conform to a more traditional way of learning. As I sit here and reflect on how my education and work life experiences have prepared me for my future in the workplace; I truly become overwhelmed by the amount of things that I have learned and experienced. Like many others these experiences has influenced, motivated, and driven me to make the choices I have made. The good, the bad and the ugliest of them all have helped me to become the person that I am today.
So it began. Ever since the first day of freshman year, I put forth all my energy towards academics: I payed attention in every class, asked questions if I didn’t understand anything, took notes regardless if the information was or trivial or not, and studied rigorously until late in the night. The academic journey from my childhood up to my ongoing college experience was an important role in defining who I am as an individual. Like any other person, I eventually gained the understanding and importance of essential qualities like time management, work ethic, developing strong mental mindset, and many other things throughout my years of education. Fortunately for me, I became aware of these things much earlier than my peers around me. However, being aware of these things was only a fraction towards success. Over time I’ve realized that the most critical part of success was gaining the discipline and willpower to apply these lessons and concepts.
Getting my drivers’ license was an intense feeling that I will never forget. Just knowing that I had a drivers’ license made me feel so free, as free as a bird flying in the open sky with no real place to go, just a desire to be free. I felt like I could do anything. I had new responsibilities like most adults, and I came to a realization that I had lived through one of the most important events in the process of growing up. This event opened up many possibilities for me such as interests in cars, driving skill improvement, and freedom.
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My journey through high school was a tough one, especially because I decided to not only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in extra curriculum activities. I wanted more than just academic excellence; I wanted to be a leader, I wanted to add value to every aspect of my life, I wanted a rounded education and not just mere schooling.
