The logo of a company is an emblem or visual mark that they choose to represent themselves. A logo is such a small thing but it has the ability to make a huge impact on your business. Logos act as a branding for your company and could ultimately be the deciding factor in whether you make or break the deal. Here is why logo designing is important.
Types of Logos
There are two kinds of logos: Logotype and Logomark.
The logotype is the name of the company written in a stylized way. A good example for this is Coca-Cola. Their logo is just the name written in cursive font. Google is also logotype. As is Facebook with its trademark ‘f’. The name of the company itself has been shown in a creative manner.
Logomark is graphic, symbol, or other identifying

Think of the or the golden arches of McDonald’s or the bitten apple of Apple. A good logo should pop into the mind of the person after they hear the name of the company.
However, Images and icons also vary across nations, cultures, and even genders. It is tough to make a logo universally recognizable. Plus, a symbol only logo probably won’t fit the bill for small businesses. Therefore, you’re better off using your name along with a simple symbol rather than just a symbol. The simple logos as the most memorable ones.
Text Messaging
The logo itself sends a message out to the other people. You shouldn’t just use any font. Even things like bold, italics, and underline matter. However, the most important thing is the typeface, commonly known as ‘font’. There are three types of font

Times New Roman) indicate comfort and tradition.
Sans Serif (Ex. Helvetica) are clean and modern.
Calligraphic (Ex. Monotype Corsiva) showcases elegance and fanciness.
There are other fonts such as Comic Sans and Wingdings which should absolutely be avoided. Don’t use a random obscure font for the sake of it. Remember, you want people to be able to actually read your company’s name. Don’t make them squint or struggle. If the name is illegible, nothing else matters.
Relevancy
Whatever you plan on doing, make sure it is relevant to your business. For example, the ‘stop’ in our own logo signifies that we are a one-stop shop for every company’s printing needs. We have actually written a post about what the PrintStop logo means. Relevancy matters. For example, it wouldn’t make sense for a fashion store to have a football in their logo unless they sell sports jerseys.
However, your logo doesn’t have to exactly say what your company sells. Coke and Pepsi don’t have sodas or soft drinks on their logos. YouTube doesn’t have a video recorder, and the Starbucks logo doesn’t integrate coffee. You can try to involve the item you sell if you want and if it fits. Otherwise, don’t worry about
Logos means the persuading by the use of reasoning. For example, “ No one even knows whether salmon can even survive in the lower San Joaquin, which has temperatures more suitable for bass and bluegill, (McEwen 1).” The quote is clearly a display of logos because the author demonstrates to the reader that the government does not even make sure the salmon can survive in the lower San Joaquin, which then convinces the reader the project is not well thought out and cannot be trusted. I agree with the author’s viewpoint because if the government was really interested in the benefits for people, the representatives would have looked into all the details necessary to be able to succeed with the project. Another example of the author stating logos on his article for the reader to get a better understanding of what the government really cares for is, “Besides, scientific evidence suggests that California’s salmon problems have been caused in large part by oceanic conditions and the environmental mess that is the San Joaquin-Sacramento Delta (McEwen 1).” This quote is an alternative representation of logos since it proves a fact. The fact makes the reader extra believable since he uses scientific evidence about California’s salmon problems. It is clear to me the position that is superior to the other one because there have been numerous studies proving this project will
- The best example is to keep the logo as clean and clean as possible, Google company logo
Logos mostly refers to the structure and content of the text itself. When working with logos the meaning and logic of the film itself has to come into play. In the movie Of Mice and Men, Lenny continued to get into trouble, causing George to have to relocate them. George always knew that Lenny was going to get them in trouble due to all of the stunts he pulled and the fact that he was constantly forgetting things that were important. At first, the theme of the movie was fairly happy-go-lucky, then Lenny’s story of why they were there got out and he began to cause trouble again. When he started to cause trouble again, the movie turned more ominous. Eventually George had to kill...
Logos, in this commercial, it is to make the audience feel the same way as you do. As you can see in the video, everyone is having fun and a good
For example they use logos for when they talk about how many children are starving, how to fix the problem, and why there is a problem.
The first essential thing to an ad is to have you logo on it. Angela West writer of ‘5 tips on How to Write a Killer Slogan’ says the logo will promote brand identity (1). The young well educated, professional adults have probably seen a State Farm commercials with J. K. Simmons. The logo of State Farm will be familiar sight with the young professional adults. This is good for State Farm because the reader will with no doubt read the ad due to them being familiar with the State Farm logo.
The additional use of logos promotes consumers to invest in
“There are some things money can’t buy, but these days, not as many” (Sandel 40). Sandel states this before he presents all of the data he has collected on how people spend their money. This use of logos conveys the point of the statement that money can almost buy anything. Money can pay children to read for the betterment of their education or be used to undermine others by paying five hundred thousand dollars to instantly become an American citizen, cutting ahead all those people who have been waiting for years. Unfortunately,
In every given business, the name itself portrays different meanings. This serves as the reference point and sometimes the basis of customers on what to expect within the company. Since personality affects product image (Langmeyer & Shank, 1994), the presence of brand helps in the realization of this concept. Traditionally, brand is a symbolic manifestation of all the information connected with a company, product, or service (Nilson, 2003; Olin, 2003). A brand is typically composed of a name, logo, and other visual elements such as images, colors, and icons (Gillooley & Varley, 2001; Laforet & Saunders, 1994)). It is believed that a brand puts an impression to the consumer on what to expect to the product or service being offered (Mere, 1995). In other application, brand may be referred as trademark, which is legally appropriate term. The brand is the most powerful weapon in the market (LePla & Parker, 1999). Brands possess personality in which people associate their experience. Oftentimes, they are related to the core values the company executes.
Firstly, Logos is an appeal to logic, this method is used to persuade an audience by reason. “Logos can be developed by using advanced, theoretical or abstract language, citing facts (very important), using historical and literal analogies, and by
Teams and companies is often as creative because they want with inventing a mascot. The mascot may represent they colors, personal characteristics a group or company takes pride in, or it's really a creation all its very own. Mascots could use actions or dances which make them unique inside a physical way.
logos consists of facts, statistics, causal statements, experiments, and case studies. Logos shows logical reasoning to the audience, and while Ethos and Pathos are important, Logos helps to give you the final push to persuade the viewer. Facts help to create belief.
Brand; - brand is known as uniqueness in term of what products or service the company provides. Brand is also set of insight or image that represents seller. Brand defines symbol, name, term or feature of company’s service or goods. Example of popular brand is apple, Amazon and Samsung.
In order to ensure the success of a brand the company must put lots of planning and thought into the brands elements. The three brands I have chosen to examine in this branding exercise are Apple, Coca-Cola, and Target because they demonstrate many of the criteria used to evaluate brand success.
Branding is also a way to build an important company asset, which is a good reputation. Whether a company has no reputation, or a less than stellar reputation, branding can help change that. Branding can build an expectation about the company services or products, and can encourage the company to maintain that expectation, or exceed them, bringing better products and services to the market place.
