Everyone should lead by example. You can lead by example and make others successful. Leading by example is key to success. I lead by example in school, so do you everyone leads by example some where. Even if you don’t know you are leading, you are. leading by example is what I do when I want my cousins to act right I tell them not to do something and hopefully next time they don’t do it. Lead by example is what everyone should do. In fact I saw someone leading by example not to long ago, me and my mom were at my grandmas house and my cousin was leading by example by doing what was right my other two cousins were doing what was wrong, eventually my other two cousins started to do what was right. When you lead by example you are giving someone else the opportunity to go by what you are doing be successful and go in a good path. Everyone leads by example at one point in their life whether it is being a good leader or cleaning things up or talking politely or not acting like a goofball, you are leading by example, now when you do those things you are still leading by example no matter what the younger people are going to look at your actions and do what you are doing, they may or may not do what they are told and do what you are doing. I see people leading by example every day in every place. Most people don’t know that they are leading by example but they are everyone does even in the worst of times when you least expect it. I lead by example in band, I lead by example in class by paying attention to the teacher in class which I don’t always do but, I am supposed to. People can be rude and disrespectful and the younger people with watch them and do what they are doing. In the movie The Grinch Stole Christmas the Who’s were leading by example by being kind and respectful and eventually the grinch turned out kind and respectful and brought back the gifts and things the grinch was a cold hearted person but, he turned
Making sure it is a good example is the most important part of being a good leader in your community. The Benchwarmers started with the intention of helping a little boy gain confidence, and that blossomed into a whole community standing by their side to fight against bullies. All the children in the end were taught by great leaders, came together, and accepted each other. Leading by example does not just happen in fictional stories though. It happens every day and in reality, anyone can be that leader. The most important part of being that leader is making sure your example is a good one. Whether reality or fiction, anyone can be a leader with a good example which inspires people, schools, and communities to join
Scrooge was always mean to everyone. They did not like him. He was visited by three ghosts that taught him a lesson. He started being nice. “Scrooge was better than his word. He did it all. . . He was a second father. . . [to Tiny Tim] His own heart laughed.” (Dickens 64). Doing nice things for people can make people happier too. The Grinch, as well as Scrooge, hates Christmas and he expresses it. The Whos hate him for it. He takes the presents of all the Whos, he is about to throw it off the mountain. The Grinch hears a sound. It is them. They are singing, despite the fact their Christmas is ruined. He returned all their gifts and celebrates Christmas with them. He is finally loved by the Whos. Doing nice things for people can make a person happy as well. Although, Scrooge was helped by spirits, The Grinch was held by people. Recent books can be seen using traditional story’s themes.
The real person who has made an impact on not only myself, but a great deal of people in the community over quite a few years is Ms. Barbara Neiman of Brockton Avenue Elementary School. Working in different fields over the course of her life, Ms. Neiman has had to convert to various styles of leadership. Since she has had to alter the ways in which she leads, I selected pieces from three different practices that I believe best fit her: The Path-Goal Theory, Servant Leadership, and a little bit from the Behavioral Approach.
It is the job of a leader to be a role model because people look up to you. Leadership is something I may have to work on a little because I am a shy person, but that doesn’t stop me. Last year, some 6th grade student were going to be selected to give a tour of the school to the 5th graders who were coming to Great Hollow the following year. My teacher was unsure that I would be a good choice because I am quiet in class. But I convinced him to let me be a tour guide and he was impressed with my performance. I was excited and talked to the students about the school and I was happy to be a leader and show the 5th graders what to do. I proved to myself I had

I show this by not dumping all the work of a group project on one person. I help by delegating all the work between the group members, and helping them on the parts they are working on, and not just on the parts I have. Not only am I a role model to my classmates, but I am also a role model to my younger family members. I show this through following the rules of where I am at during the time and teaching them the rules along the way.
Leaders should lead by example. What a leader does and how they do it, serves as an example for others to follow. A leader’s behavior and actions are an important and effective way to influence the behavior of the people the lead. Leaders must treat other with dignity and respect. Leaders take responsibility for their actions, maintain their integrity by doing the right things and develop personable and commutative vision for their organizations. Leaders instill a sense of discipline; enforce organizational standards of the organization and do not turn a blind eye or overlook problems.
“In order to be a good leader, there are two things to remember. Lead from the Front and always set the Example. From these two leadership principles, everything else will fall into place.”
What does it mean to lead by example? When people lead by example, they become a person others want to follow. Taking responsibility for your actions is leading by example. It is this because you are taking responsibility for your actions, which encourages kids and other people to do the same. Inspire people to be just like you. Teach and use teamwork so they can learn to do the same. Following the 10 commandments is a good example. Like number nine thou shalt not bear false witnesses which means do not tell lies about other people that is not leading by example. Honor thy father and thy mother meaning respect your parents because if you were to act out in public and younger kids seen you they might think it’s ok and try to act badly and
Believe it or not, “leadership begins with you”. Consequently, the five Practices of Exemplary Leadership are: 1. Model the way- “leading by example”, and demonstrate the concepts regarding the manner in which individuals should be treated and the way our aspirations should be followed. 2. What is the difference between a..
to lead you must know yourself completely, your strengths and weaknesses and when to ask for help from others. If one cannot achieve this than they will fail at leading because they will not understand how to pick people to fill the roles that the person once did successfully. It is also stated that in order to progress you have to experience things on your own without any help and essentially self-teach. He also argues that you must reflect on good and bad experiences and learn how to grow from the bad and figure out how you accomplished
One very important aspect of a great leader is to lead by example. Any person in a position to guide others cannot ask the team to do one thing and act in the complete opposite way. This is a sure way to show that the leader has a need to show power and quickly loose respect from those who should be learning from him or her. Being a role model is importan...
- An experience I've had with leading by example was when I was given a position in a middle management role to lead others who had actually been doing the job longer than I had. In order to gain respect and to effectively lead, I had to "get my hands dirty". I spent large amounts of time with each employee to learn what they did, how long they'd been doing it and the pain points they experienced...
I was a business manager of a utility company for about twelve years. I was responsible for four employees and the operation of the office. This was a job that I never thought I would leave, I loved it, and I looked forward to coming to work every day. Due to a situation out of my control and politics the administration changed and I could not support something that I did not believe in or feel was a good ethical practice. My leadership position provided me a variety of tasks, no one day was the same, I found the job challenging and but at the same time satisfying. The one practice that I maintained while in this position was that I wanted to lead by example. I would not ask an employee to do something that I would not do myself. I feel strongly that this practice was necessary to maintain the respect of my subordinates. Being a smaller office, I did maintain a personal relationship with those that worked for me, we built a strong team together. I also relate this leadership position closely with the skills needed in parenthood; to me the same skills are applied. The ability to guide, teach, re-direct and discipline are used in both
"A leader is an individual (or, rarely, a set of individuals) who significantly affects the thoughts, feelings, and/or behaviors of a significant number of individuals” (Gardner, Howard 2012). An essential part of a leader lies in their ability to motivate and influence people to follow their lead. Leaders are both men and women who have the ability to influence others in a community, control situations, connect with others and persuade others to follow them or the goals they define. To be a good leader one must set a good example and make correct decisions for difficult choices. I myself am implementing leadership skills into my every day life. Leadership skills are all around us. They can be applied to any situation where one may be required to take the lead. This can be
