INTRODUCTION
What is Global Information System?
According to the wikipedia, global information system is any information system, which attempts to deliver the totality of measurable data worldwide within a defined context.
A global information system as can be referred to as “GIS” integrates hardware, software and data for capturing; managing, analyzing and displaying all forms of geographically referenced information. It allow us to visualize and understand, question and interpret data in many ways that show patterns, relationships and trends in the forms of map, reports and charts. A global information system answer questions and solve problems by looking at data in a way that is speedily shared and easily understood. The technology can be integrated into any enterprise’s information system framework as a way to integrate data so that it can analyze and power it to make critical decisions on business and planning.
GIS can integrate and relate any data with a spatial component, regardless of the source of the data, example is you can combine the location of mobile workers, located in real-time by GPS devices, in relation to customers' home, located by address and derived from your customer database. GIS can map this data, giving dispatchers a visual tool to plan the best routes for mobile staff or send the closest worker to a customer. (Lsp4you, 2010)
Implementing Global Information Systems
Looking at the current trend towards globalization, some firms are managing increasingly complex networks of subsidiaries, customers and also suppliers. It manages the complexity by providing chain information and also facilitating communication between these chain partners and manager’s decisions when coordinating these networks.

The general qualities of internet global information system are that, object oriented, distributed and inter-operable. The global information system data and functionality may reside on different servers on the internet and happen to be assembled and integrated locally when and when needed.
It is necessary for internet global information system to be able to take benefit of distributed processing in access analysis models and distributed data in the network so as to achieve high inter-operability. Microsoft's Distributed Component Object Model and Object Management Group 's Common Object Request Broker Architecture show capacity in this matter.
Complex linkages are system of activities, business organization, resources, and information involved in transferring services and product from supplier of the product to customers. In complex linkage, the products and services from a single company interact in several ways. The complex linkage needed for a competitive business environment should focus on business management, connection with other countries, development of new markets, and technology.
The internet works on the basis that some computers act as ‘servers’. These computers offer services for other computers that are accessing or requesting information, these are known as ‘clients’. The term “server” may refer to both the hardware and software (the entire computer system) or just the software that performs the service. For example, Web server may refer to the Web server software in a computer that also runs other applications or it may refer to the computer system dedicated only to the Web server applicant. For example, a large Web site could have several dedicated Web servers or one very large Web server.
In the 1960s through the 1970s, companies realized strong engineering, design, and manufacturing functions were strong market strategy keys to create and capture customer loyalty. As the demand for new products rose in the 1980s, these market requirements were to increase their flexibility and responsiveness to adapt existing products and processes or to develop new ones in order to meet customer needs. As manufacturing improved in the 1990s, managers began noticing material and service inputs involving suppliers and their major impact on an organization’s ability to meet customer needs. As a result of these changes, organizations now find that it difficult to manage their own organizations. First, they must be involved in the management of their network of all upstream firms that provide directly or indirectly, as well as the network of downstream firms, which are responsible for delivery and market service of the product to the end customer. In order to succeed, managers have to realize that they cannot do it alone and they must work together on a daily basis with the whole organizations in their supply chains. Because supply chain management involves all functions within an organization, managers need to know what a supply chain is, why it is important, and the impact of supply chain management on the success and profitability of their organization. Today, Wal-Mart topped the list of the America’s biggest companies on the Fortune 500 list, “with sales of almost $345 billion — more than a quarter of a trillion dollars” (Forbs). Wal-Mart’s supply chain management is becoming recognized as a core competitive strategy.
As applications of geospatial technologies continuously break the disciplinary barrier, the need for books on these technologies to reach diverse audiences is greater than ever. The challenge, however, is to write a book on this complicated subject that incorporates the knowledge of multiple disciplines and makes it valuable for those who may or may not have diverse educational backgrounds, but require using these technologies. Most books on geospatial technologies target a specific audience. Contrary to this, Geographical Information Science tries to target three different audiences (users, students, and engineers) by using formats and languages comfortable to them. While this effort is laudable, maintaining the balance and attractiveness to all the three audiences is challenging. The author, Narayan Panigrahi, has accomplished this balancing act but with mixed outcomes. His computer science background is clearly seen in the structure and contents of the chapters.
The Internet and international business is an interesting topic- discussing an area of business that will probably be around for many years and possibly centuries to come. Since its earliest days, the Internet has been a means of communication, an essential tool in almost instant communication.
Now days, companies are searching for new ways of gathering data so that they can get useful data in order to make well informed decisions regarding the market they are operating in. Google analytics is considered one of the best tools offers extensive amount of data to business owners for free. However, the success of business is highly depended on how well they can arrange data and customize their collected data corresponded to their business priorities. Google analytics provides beneficial information for companies regardless of their extent of operation. Google Analytics (Location data)
One of the best ways to share information was the Internet, which was originated in the beginning for military purposes, and very quickly entered in everyday use. Today, the Internet – is one of the well-known phenomena of information technology. The Internet at this stage of globalization has a significant impact and is becoming one of the main ways of its functioning and development. Thus, the information space is becoming more and more important in shaping the future in the era of globalization. With the process of globalization, development of information technology is greatly accelerated. And mankind begins "sink" in the vast amount of information "needed and necessary" to know, to keep up with development. Many virtual museums ,libraries, clubs and via correspondence, system of search of partners and associates, various forums, news feeds, videos, music and all information are available to all categories of users. The development of technical means led to the formation of global information space - the international system the production, distribution and use of information. At the same time, contradictions between national and world cultures began to emerge. There is an attempt to absorption of national cultures by world culture. Furthermore, it leads to the process of occurrence identities, which will "change" their national culture and expose to the world. It is impossible not to notice that the Internet has united the world into a single entity, provided the globalization of culture and heritage and made it accessible for almost

The Internet is a global network connecting millions of personal, institutional and company computers. The number of computers used by the internet is growing rapidly. The United States is connected with over 100 countries worldwide and linked together to exchange of data, news and opinions. The Internet is decentralized design. This means that there isn't just one computer that stores all of the information from the Internet. There are many independent host servers located throughout the US and the world that store the information made available to the global Internet community.
Building a GIS system from the ground up is a very time consuming and extremely expensive venture. This is why only large metropolitan areas have developed or are developing GIS systems.
Geographers plan new communities, decide where new highways should be placed, and establish evacuation plans. Computerized mapping and data analysis is known as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), a new frontier in geography. Spatial data is gathered on a variety of subjects and input onto a computer. GIS users can create an infinite number of maps by requesting portions of the data to plot.
Global knowledge is the world’s leading form of knowledge to support and prepare students, teachers, leaders, parents and many others as they adapt to various transformations around the world. Global knowledge is presented and introduced by various means and resources. Various programs are designed to help students, leaders, parents, teachers and many others to function in a global knowledge society. Global knowledge is effective when it is delivered by qualified, knowledgeable and caring instructors. Once a qualified leader is in charge of a team or group he / she will deliver continuous learning, support, public training, workshops, private trainings, etc. the process will be in place.
In other words, it aims to link all the supply chain agents to jointly cooperate within the firm as a way to maximize productivity in the supply chain and deliver the most benefits to all related parties [2].
In a particular case study of “Sun County”, the real location name was changed for confidentiality purposes; the implementation of a new GIS (Geographic Information System) was followed for several years in order to focus on the process of e-government rather than the outcome or outputs that other research has focused on (Tsai, Choi, & Perry, 2009). The goal of the new GIS database was for the Department's staff to have the ability to enter data into the GIS database, run reports, and generate maps in a real time manner from their own workstations; this would allow them to provide a high level of service without having to allocate a lot of resources. Another goal of the project was to ease the decision making process of management by giving them the ability to perform analyses to better understand County resources and circumstances (Tsai, Choi, & Perry, 2009).
The internet is a total of mediums which are connected between them with channels of communication. The internet is actually an internet after it connects to smaller networks of many countries. The internet rouses the computer and the world of the communications like nothing else before. The invention of the computer, of the telephone, of the telegraph etc, set the stage for this unprecedented completion of faculties. The internet becomes right away a world capable radio broadcast, a mechanism for the distribution of information and a means for the cooperation and the interaction between the individuals and their computers, being indifferent to the geographic place.
