Importance Of Faith In My Life

I am a warrior, fighter, and a child of God. I have fallen into very dark places in my life. No one thought I’d be able to make it through. Yet, I proved them wrong, and inspired others to work hard. Having someone remind us the importance of faith, will lead to goodness. Sometimes, we will be placed in difficult situations where we need someone to remind us of God’s word. I’ve struggled to reach to a point of confidence, and determination. For most of my childhood years, I was a subordinate. It hurt to know that certain individuals never had the will to acknowledge me, due to my weird character. No one really knew what was going on in my life. Yet, they wondered why was I so unusual. It taught me how to control some of my feelings. My coach always told me “Cid you can accomplish anything you put your mind to,” and “God’s word is so much powerful, have faith”. I had always been the one to give up. Yet, he believed in me. Every time, I couldn’t get a certain technique done correctly, and I’d say “I can’t do it”. He’d always tell me “Don’t think about it, just do it”. He taught me how to pray and certain bible verses that I could use in my everyday life. When I learned how to pray, it brought a huge relief to my soul. If it wasn’t for him, I’d probably would’ve never taught I could graduate high school, or be an honor student. They’d always ask me “How do you remain so positive?It’s amazing,” I’d reply with “Romans 8:31” “ If God be for us, who could be against us”. I was definitely not frightened, I knew that God was by my side. As time progressed, they began taking off medications. My chemotherapy doses were placed at a stop by January 2015, and I was making a tremendous recovery. They’d always mention how proud I made them feel to be doctors. I’ve used my past experiences to influence others. When I teach kids, and they feel like it’s too difficult, I always remind them that they can accomplish anything they put their mind to. I always tell them “Don’t allow anyone tell you, you can’t do this, because you’re too small, no! You’re so much better than that”. It brings a deep feeling of joy, when I see them accomplish things after. It makes me think “I did that, that’s my little warrior”. I came into my senior year with great confidence. I became AVID president, and Battalion supply officer for NJROTC. Along, with the support from my teachers. Every day after school, I seeked for assistance from my teachers. Sometimes, even to help others apply for universities, and practice for their SAT. If it wasn’t for the long nights, and commitment to school, it wouldn’t have been possible for me to leave the doors with a handful of scholarships, honor recognition, and acceptance to all the universities, I applied to.
