If it’s a potential buyers first time purchasing a home, they may be surprised by the burdening amount of work to get through. However the advantages would include customizing the house to your specific needs, home ownership creates a sense of family solidarity and your first home is where special moments are …show more content…
Research Methodology I will be determining my research by describing each step as I go along. I plan to delve through the decision making process for first time buyers. I will also be evaluating the needs and wants of first time buyers. The aim is to show what people want the most when looking for a home. I will comprise this information by caring out a questionnaire. From these objectives my aim is to show if it is the right time to purchase houses in this economy. I also want to highlight the difficult process that is incorporated when trying to find the right home for first time buyers. The first step is to decide what I want to learn from the questionnaire. I intend to write out questions that can help get the results, it is important not to lead those that are answering the questionnaire in the direction you want them to go especially if it doesn’t match their beliefs. When I give a multiple choice question, there will be a number of answers to choose from. It’s important not to ask questions that may be deemed personal. Even if is an online survey that I am doing, participants may be too shy to answer the

Buying or selling a house or an apartment is one of the biggest decisions of a person’s life. And when selling or establishing a price for real estate, people seek out real estate agents to do the dirty work. A real estate agent has to convince a prospective homeowner that he or she is trustworthy and knowledgeable. In many ways, the agent acts as a counselor to individuals and families about to embark on a huge commitment. Real estate agents have a thorough knowledge or real estate market in their community. As time goes on, it is becoming increasingly obvious that a key characteristic of the millennial generation is their hesitation to purchase a house. While this likely will not affect the economy, there are specific pros and cons to millennials owning a home, and factors that will increase or decrease their drive to purchase a home that validate their wariness to purchase a home immediately once they are out of college.
With jobs and opportunities scarce, many were forced to return to school or take refuge by moving back in with their parents. The idea of buying a place of their own seemed impossible. This is one of the factors that could decrease homeownership among the generation. Another factor that could decrease homeownership is that the housing market itself faces powerful headwinds. Changes in demographics and in the industry have held back demand and supply. Neither is likely to be unleashed any time soon. The last three years of recovery and job growth have raised hopes that millennials will soon be crowding open houses and kicking the slow-moving home-building industry into higher gear. A resurgence of residential construction would provide a big lift at a time when the recovery has lost momentum because of economic turmoil abroad. This can increase the homeownership among the generation. Millennial-generation home buyers have not emerged in expected numbers, in part because they are staying single or getting married and having children later in life. The share of 18- to 34-year-olds who are married and with kids has fallen steadily to 20% from almost 50% in 1970. That means fewer people feel compelled to go out on their own or move out of apartments they share with friends and other roommates. For whatever reason, millennials are also staying

Buying a home can be an exciting experience for anyone. However, in some cases you just might be better off continuing to rent your home. There are many advantages to buying a home. However, it is not for everyone and buying varies from individual to individual. Currently more people are leaning towards renting but this could change in the near future.
More than half of current homeowners purchased their home during time periods when average homebuyers would have been better off renting and investing (PR Newswire, 2014). I am currently renting and interested in becoming a potential homebuyer, but the thought of becoming one worries me at times. I ask myself “Am I ready to be a homeowner?”. Will I save money renting or buying? Do I need a home?”
Buying a home is something most people do at least once in their lifetime. Many people dream of buying their own home. Buying and owning your home is part of the American dream. Although the dream itself has since changed, the home still remains the main focal point. Today owning a home doesn’t necessarily mean a house. People now buy duplexes, cooperative apartments, and condominiums. For some families it could take up to a couple of generations before it’s able to have the capabilities of buying a home. To many people it means a certain achievement that only comes after years of hard work. It is a life altering decision and one of the most important someone can make in their lifetime. The reasons behind the actual purchase could vary. Before anything is done, people must understand that it’s an extraneous process and it is a long term project.
As a Millennial on the uppermost end of the spectrum, I feel the homeownership idea is a bit less of an issue for me since I was born in 1997. Despite this, I am still hesitant to even consider buying my own house when I graduate from college. Everything in today’s world is continually becoming more expensive and jobs are less readily available. The jobs that are available do not pay enough for me or any millennial to be able to afford to own a house and pay for everything that comes with it. We are forced to remain in our family home and rely on our parents for our basic needs until we can establish a steady job and income and that can be difficult. There is a multitude of pros and cons that puts me on the fence with the decision to buy my own house after college.
