“Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough.” - Oprah Winfrey. This means being able to appreciate what you have, makes you feel like you have everything in the world, but not appreciate what you have, makes you only want more. It is important to be thankful so that you don’t take things for granted, so even the smallest thing someone does for you,can seem like the biggest. Thankfulness show the person you like what they did for you and want the to keep doing it. I am thankful for my grandparents, God, and my family. I am so blessed, and thankful for my grandparents for so many reasons. Am grateful for them because every once and awhile they let me …show more content…
My family is alway there supporting me, weather it is helping me answer a math problem, getting me over my fear of going on an airplane, with an upset stomach. My mom will always help me with any math problem I need help with. Infact, she encourages me to ask her for help because she likes it. If my mom is not able to help then my dad will step right in and explain it step by step. I am so grateful for their help, and because of their support with math I am now a seventh grader in Algebra. Another reason I am thankful for them is because my sisters cheer me up. When I get in trouble or hurt, the will always tory to make me feel better. If I got in trouble the will ask me if I want to spend time with the or play a game( as long as it was my sister and I who got in the fight). If I was hurt they will ask if I am ok and get me an ice pack. I am so grateful for my sisters, and don't know how I would of got through some of this without them. I appreciate my parents so much because they take care of me. They provide me with a house, a wonderful room, and the best bed. They also provide me with plenty of food. Almost every night, my parents take an hour or two out of their day to cook dinner for us, and is it so delishious. I am so thankful for every little or big thing my family has done for
Gratitude is a gift that the earth urgently needs. Consistent gratitude is a form of recognition of the gift and the giver. Daily gratitude can help eliminate the need for more and practicing more of only what we need. Gratitude leads to a society of contentment rather than one that's always in need of more. We human individuals have conventions for appreciation; we apply them formally to each other. We say thank you. “We understand that receiving a gift
“If we do not feel grateful for what we already have, what makes us thinks we’d be happy with more?”(Anonymous) In the story “The House on Mango Street¨, the author Sandra Cisneros writes about a girl named Esperanza who doesn’t feel grateful for what she has and uses that to have a negative outlook on life. The story portrays a theme of sometimes people may not always be grateful for what they have, but it’s what makes them who they are.
Gratitude is one of the positive emotions shown from research and clinical trials to enhance the general well being of human beings. Gratitude is defined by Emmons (2004) as “a sense of thankfulness and joy in response to receiving a gift, whether the gift be a tangible benefit from a specific other or a moment of peaceful bliss evoked by natural beauty. Emmons and McCullough also see gratitude as an attitude, a habit, a personality trait and a way of handling difficult situations response (Emmons & Stern, 2013).
My family has been there for me through thick and thin. Their love has driven me to achieve greater things in life. One example of this is when I won a student of the month award back in 8th grade. Although this was sometime ago this wouldn’t have happened without the love and support of my family. My mother always motivates me to get up in the morning and have a very productive day (even if I don’t want to).
If I had been asked what I was thankful for last year, I probably wouldn’t have been able to come up with anything, however this year many things that changed for me. At the beginning of this year the medication that I had been prescribed had started working, and that was a big change for me. I started becoming less anxious and depressed and more social. As a result, in the improvement of my mood I was able to sign up for and attend the Supported Education program. I am very thankful to have been prescribed this medication, because it has helped to achieve so many things that I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to accomplish.
One of the things I’m thankful for is my family. I’m thankful for my mom because she never grounds me even if I get in trouble. She works for a long time to help support us. She also does lots of housework. I’m thankful for my dad because he works past midnight to support us.
Support does not just come from family, it comes from friends too. Family is more than mom and dad, family can be a long time friend, a best friend or even a role model. This quote is from an unknown person that said this quote, “Family isn’t always blood related”. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are.
The first thing I’m thankful for is my family and friends. The first reason is that they support me in everything I do. They teach me important life lessons. These lessons help me get through hard times in life.
My mom was a super-mom. She drove carpool, was always apart of every booster club and was the leader of every classroom party that I can remember. She encouraged me to do everything that I wanted to do. She made sure that I got everything I wanted. None of that would have been possible if my dad didnt work. While it felt like he was always gone, he was just doing what he had to do to make sure that my mom and I could live a comfortable life. Of course he took off every chance he could so come watch me at one of my games or help me practice in the back yard. If I didn 't have them I would have nothing. They are the ones who supported all of my decisions and made me feel better about trying new things. Without them I would not be the person I am. Not only would life without my parents would be drastically different but also without my siblings. Like I said before, they were my best friends growing up. I could always count on the being there for me when I was down. Not only did they bring me up when I was down, but they also praised me when I was up. They treated me like I was the greatest thing that has ever walked on God 's green earth. While they would sometimes annoy me with the constant need of attention and feeling like they needed to be involved in every detail of my personal life, I love them more than words will ever
I am thankful for my mother I am thankful that she is a strong independent woman that when times gets ruff she doesn’t run away from the problems she faces them and
...s thank you to others makes them incredibly happy. We also must express gratitude for ordinary things such as a beautiful blue sky during the daytime or sparkling stars at night. Get in the habit of finding at least 10 things to be grateful for each day to increase your happiness level.
There are a lot of things that happen in your life. You also have many things. For me, I am thankful for a lot but the things that I am really thankful about. What I’m thankful for is my friends, family, and being alive every day. I am really thankful for my friends because I get to socialize with them and they make my life more fun.
you I'm so thankful for all these things, for example, my family takes care of me and loves me. I am thankful for my family because they provide me with food, water, a school and shelter, the love me, and If I make a mistake they forgive me, and the teach me new things I wouldn't know without them. They provide me with food so I may live, grow, and thrive, even though I did nothing to deserve it. They didn't have to give me the things you need each day, as the could
My brothers and sister are the best motivation to me. It is not every day that we get along but when we do then it is a good day. Every day they make me want do better, not only for myself but for my mom and them also. They encourage me to do better now so that my future is bright later on. Family is always the best to have on your team especially for their support because they genuinely mean it and you know that it is coming from their heart. I know I can count on all my brothers and sister to be there for me when no one else is because they are family. I hate that they are growing every day and getting older to experience the real life. I hope even later on they will all still support me and we will not drift apart like I know
My family is a love I have. My immediate family consists of six people: my dad, mom, and three sisters and me. However, I love these people on a different scale than I love books. Whether it is a hand to guide, a tissue to wipe away tears, or simply a smile to make my day better I can count on people to love me and so, henceforth, I love them in return. I love my parents for many reasons. They are always there for me when I need help or am need of anything.
