ATT 2-5 Attitude is everything. Without attitude, it would not define who we are. It is important to see how attitudes can bring people together or how attitudes can also separate people. I thought the author came up with a great explanation of attitude and how there are losers and winners. Losers, of course, will be pessimistic about every situation while winners, will optimist about every situation. The author gave a great analysis of many scenarios and situations. I actually never thought of attitudes beginning as a harmless thought. When I think of attitude, I see it, as a very negative connotation because people are often stating, “Do not give me any attitude.” I loved the author stated, “First we make out attitudes, and then our attitude …show more content…
When I first start each semester, I always have doubts that I am never good enough and I always have mixed feelings. By being focused on school, and doing what needs to be done I always become less stressful if I know I am working effectively. With all the doubts, worries, and stress that comes a long with being a student, I manage to succeed and not feel overwhelmed. When I finish a semester, I always feel to relieved, not only because I passed the class, but also because of everything I have accomplished. There are many different skills that come with learning, and also knowing how a classroom works. However, by the time I finish I am so motivated to continue with the next semester. My heartbeat, pride, and satisfaction all come together because of inner drive of motivation and success. In my opinion, balancing practice and school is very tough, and I truly believe that motivation in an inner and drive, and that it needs to come …show more content…
I do agree that we need to increase humanization. Shouldn’t we focus our attention to human rights first before any other rights? Today we focus our attention on a variety of different things, and often times lack human rights. We do not need a new government, or rules, etc., however, we need to improve everything and not just get rid of it. After all, who is the one to say something that something is bad or not? According to the Becker, “deviance is defined as just something that people, especially those with power, label as and thereby create”. Majority of the things we know are socially constructed. For example, race, gender, sexuality etc. We all know that all of these can be intertwined so it is important to have an intersectional view on different subjects. If we were to follow the rules of society, there would be no change. As humans, we have the ability to be able to use our knowledge, which makes us as powerful as anyone else. Overall, I really do believe that social science has many different purposes and it can pertain to anybody. On a daily basis, humans are affected by everything. What we do in life really has a purpose. Although there a people that do not stand up, there are others that stand up for them because as we all know, the world is not perfect. Oppression is amongst all people, and perspectives are
...use of this issue. Even I prefer learning for my own pleasure over school work, but this competition is what molds students into high-achieving individuals. Having to work up to a deadline, conducting research, and collaborating with peers for group projects are all necessary tasks in the "real world". It is true that success can be achieved without school, but school is only one of the many pathways an individual can choose in order to become educated. School provides students with the ability to strive in the real word by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed. When asked what I am studying for, I can say that I am studying to become someone who can make a difference. I may not enjoy the stress and anxiety that comes with school, but I cherish the fact that school is providing me with the knowledge and skills I need to further my dreams.
Sometimes I will put one of those 3 in front of school and I usually end up paying the price for it. When I receive a bad grade on an assignment, it will usually ruin the rest of my day once I see it, and some days I want to give up on that class. I'm usually upset until I tell myself that it is an easy fix and all I have to do is work harder on the next assignment that comes my way. After receiving a bad grade on an assignment my next grade satisfies me and I am pleased with myself. At first I'm at a low, im upset. But then my mind wants to soar, so I push myself extremely hard to do better, After getting a few good greats I them become lazy and end up getting another bad great. This restarts the process and makes me want to work harder to succeed. The quote “The Lower You are, The Higher your mind will want to
In my experience it may seem that no matter how hard I may try to balance school, work, and family something always suffers. I simply try to remind myself that if I work hard and try to maximize my time that I should be able to accomplish all I need to do. Even if I am not successful in doing so at least I know that I tried my best to balance everything thing out. In my opinion people need to give one hundred percent of effort or else they will not be
We live in the 21st century where no human right is an equal right. We were issued human rights to be treated equal but everyday life situations show me that society is so unfair. Human rights are made to be inalienable fundamental rights to which a person is entitled to do because he or she is a human being. Human rights are meant to be natural rights to anyone who takes part in America's population. Human rights can be defined as rights that are believed to belong justifiably to every person. World War I and World War II of the twentieth century is what led to the development of the human rights. The human rights were derived from 18 members of many various political, cultural and even religious backgrounds. Authors consisted of those from John Peters Humphrey, Charles Malik, Peng Chun Chang, William Hodgson and Eleanor Roosevelt to name just a few. At the time that human rights were created it was for the people who faced such horror. I put myself in society shoes and I notice that the Human Rights are more of a dream than reality. When stating my opinion, each state has its own violation of the human rights of some kind. Tortured or abused in at least 81 countries, unfair trials in at least 54 countries, and lastly but definitely not the least restriction in freedom of expression in at least 77 countries.
It is difficult to be an optimist when everything seems to be going wrong. When people have to deal with unpleasant things in life it is easier to see the negative. Yet, having a positive outlook can help one be happier because attitude is directly related to mood. The disposition of a character and how it is linked to attitude is revealed many times in the novel by Jerry Spinelli. Despite being labeled as a “loser” by other kids, the character Donald Zinkoff in the book Loser shows that keeping a positive attitude helps a person to stay happy. Donald’s positive attitude makes himself more happy, the people around him happy and other people’s attitude change.
Attitude is reflected in a person’s behavior when he or she is listening or thinking about the perspectives or views of other individuals. It is the mental outlook, demeanor, and temperament toward something or someone. It is within yourself that is hard and unyielding to make changes in the approach when trying to move forward to a successful person. The process that constructs attitude is affective, behavioral, and cognitive. The affective component of a person’s attitude involves their emotions or feelings. The behavioral component of attitude deals with a person actions and gestures about any subject. Anyone who knows what they want out of life can use these components to have the greatness they desire. A motivated person can help people make adjustments in their attitude with their positive spirits. Making adjustments is a positive part of your life in general. A person as these listed above can brainstorm ways to help change a person’s attitude as they listen to the person talk. An attitude change occurs as a person grows from a child into an adult. However, if someone is not aware of their negative point of view they are not able to make the connections for perspective changes. Inspirational people like the three mentioned are very inspired and motivated to help anyone change their

Each person carries things with them, whether it’s a purse, or a backpack, or a slim wallet slid into their pocket. They may not carry these physical things all of the time, but these staple items are with more than they’re not. The become a part of the person’s identity. They become emotional burdens for the person to bear.
Cultivation theory has endured some criticism for failing to initially acknowledge other genre-specific contexts outside of television (Arendt, 2010; Bilandzic & Buzzell, 2008; Good, 2008). According to cultivation theory, stories that disseminate recurrent or similar messages can alter a viewer’s perception about social reality, which is why the Narrative is considered to be one form of genre-specific context where stories are placed into categories where recurrent messages are shared that convey a common theme (Bilandzic & Buzzell, 2008). Therefore, considering porn as narrative content and internet as medium, cultivation theory can hypothesize regular exposure to a core message will overlap regardless of the content being viewed, thus causing the viewer to believe a particular message over time (Bilandzic & Buzzell, 2008). Moreover, the intensity of the narrative experience and the lack of adequate counterarguments heightens the effectiveness of the narrative by altering viewer attitudes and beliefs (Bilandzic & Buzzell, 2008).
Just as one’s health can become a predictor of how that individual’s behavior will be influenced. These are how both attitude and behavior have such an impact on our everyday lives. It has an impact on everything we do, say, and feel.
Because motivation is a very strong will power to support students to complete their goal or stay focus to overcome laziness. Next, students can reward themselves after they done something good or finish their schoolwork. The reward don’t have to be big or good, a little thing like pizza or go play game to relax their brain will help them, and make them feel accomplish. The last thing to do is stay active at all time, after done schoolwork, students can go workout or just go outside and run around for thirty minutes will help them clear their brain and make them
Everyone strives for happiness. Positivity is the key to being happy. Maintaining positivity can be hard with some of the curveballs that life throws at you. Everyone has different coping mechanisms. Some of the ways a person could stay positive would be to find the things that motivate you to wake up every morning, admitting your problems and finding the good in them, and the most important one, taking care of yourself. If you follow my steps you will learn how to live a more positive life.
“Self-awareness is a psychological state in which people are aware of their traits, feelings and behaviour. Alternatively, it can be defined as the realisation of oneself as an individual entity.” (Crisp & Turner, 2010). In other words, self awareness is recognising one’s personality which includes strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs and emotions.
Attitude can alter reality. The diversity of culture and norms of the American society, has affected the attitude of the American youth. Therefore, it is important to learn, teach and display positive values and good morals in society. We have the necessary resources at our disposal that can gear and guide our youth to have a strong sense of self. Some of these resources include groups that are agents of socialization such as; first, the family/home. Second, school/education, and third, community and community agencies. I will later elaborate further on these agents and their contribution to the socialization and education of the American youth.
One time, I used to think of school as fun as life dose, but when I started looking at my grades. I had to take studying in a serious way. I started going to the learning center and I got help, which changed my grades. Once I saw my grades are improving, I felt as a poor guy has won the lottery ticket. Getting good grades made me feel better and encouraged me to try harder. I was having fun while studying because I gave myself gifts and I took breaks to help myself studying. I kept going while studying in the ALI and some people were telling me that there are some teachers I wasn’t be able to make it through their class. Definitely I made it through and I passed all levels that I needed to finish. When I look at the people who told me I wasn’t be able to make it, I see them having all of the time and they don’t care about school or homework. I kept myself inside the house and studied hard to get where am I at now.
