This is a National Refuge of Costa Rica, it is located inside Bahia Culebra, 4th district Nacascolo, Liberia, Guanacaste, Costa Rica, just about 34.2 km and 32 minutes of Liberia downtown. The Refuge corresponds to the Area de Conservacion Tempisque ( ACT ), and is administrated by Sistema Nacional de Areas de Conservacion ( SINAC ). Before 1993 thanks movements of some communities like Liberia, Sardinal, Palmira, Comunidad, Guardia And others to promote the protection of the nature region and the habitats of “Playa Iguanita” was created “Iguanita Wildlife Refuge” in order to provide protection to the beach, forests, mangroves and fauna. 1. Creation: According to the desire to maintain, preserve and develop a natural place like the old place “Playa Iguanita”, in 1993 a group of leaders from different communities in the area proposed to turn the area in a Refuge Area. Consequently, the proposal was welcomed by Executive Order 23217 by MIRENEM ( actually MINAE ) And the ICT that created Iguanita Wildlife Refuge in 1994 to maintain and develop the low-impact tourism. This refuse was decreed for protection of great diversity of species, marine and cultural resources, as well as To provide opportunities of investigation, protection, education and social tourism of low-impact; for that has a social, regional and political institutions support to increase the protection of terrestrial ecosystems and mariners of the zone and the maintenance of the tradition of use popular of the “Playa Iguanita” http://www.sinac.go.cr/AC/ACT/RNVS%20Iguanita/Paginas/default.aspx 2. The objective of the Refuge is ensured the Costa Ricans and Guanacastecos the enjoyment of the Refuge, giving equality of opportunities and rights in order that all citizens be able to have access to the enjoyment of the beach. Nevertheless the controversy and fight of these associations follows being to maintain the intact nature, as beautiful, perfect and majestic is, wherefore the ICT, MINAE, and municipalities that are parts of the government are giving concessions, parts of the beach and the refuge, causing the loss of the natural and magical of this beach that it is the familiar love, which it exists in this place thanks to the tradition of hundreds of families that join together in the beach for camping 3 or 4 days several times yearly.
The question that needs to be asked is, should local councils protect the coast, or leave it to nature? And how does protection affect the people the environment and the future of Dawlish Warren? I will observe the laws, which have been enforced to ensure the nature of the reserve is protected and the ecological and economical value of Dawlish Warren is looked after. Fig A shows where my investigation is based Dawlish warren incorporates a fantastic amenity- a nature reserve that covers 204 hectares or 505 acres. It is essentially a mile-and a half length of sand spit, extending around the mouth of the River Exe and positively teeming with flora and fauna, so much that not only has it been designated local nature reserve since 1978 but it is also an international one as well.
The geology, its history, and the presence of past civilizations contribute to much of the significance of Mesa Verde National Park. The interconnectedness of these aspects should also be noted. If not for the weathering processes and changes in sea level this formation would not exist. Without it, the ancient people would not have been able to reside within Mesa Verde. This National Park now serves as a tool to help conserve the remains of these past civilizations as well as to help educate today’s society on the significance behind this astonishing geologic
... of the Tuscan area used the Saguaro cactus for framework in the walls of their homes. The Saguaro ribs were used to collect the fruit that grew high up on the plant. The Hohokam people used the sweet fruits from the cacti for wine in ceremonies, jellies, and candies. They used the leftover seeds for chicken feed. Humans built houses in the Tuscan area, and it caused the Saguaro desert a large amount of it’s habitat. Now that us humans don’t have as much land to destroy, this national park is becoming safer by the day.

Costa Rica lies in the tropics and originated as a land of peaceful people and lush ecosystems. The Costa Rica of today is much different than a simple ideal tourist location. It is a country that ranks among the world’s highest in biodiversity. In addition, there is no separation between church and state. It is a country with a woman president and no army. The economy of Costa Rica is challenged on a daily basis and the education of its residents is recognizable. The purpose of this paper is to introduce readers to the many unique facets of the small Spanish speaking country of Costa Rica. My intent is to present information about the country’s geographical facts, biodiversity and ecotourism, religion, education, government and economical status.
Her point is validated in the literature in Ursula’s response to Jose Arcadio Buendia’s desire “to move Macondo to a better place” (13). Jose Arcadio Buendia feels the insatiable need to relocate to fulfill his craving for exploration, but Ursula will not stand for it and declares “we will not leave…we will stay here, because we have a son here” (14). Jose Arcadio Buendia’s selfish choice to relocate to satisfy his wishes exhibits no regard for others while Ursula’s declaration to remain stationary shows her concern for the women and children’s need for stability.
I learned more than I ever imagined on my summer study abroad trip to Costa Rica. I learned that Costa Rica is a country like no other. The country is much different than what the United States of America is like. The lifestyles, customs, and practices of Costa Rica are very different than those that I am accustomed to. As an outsider looking into the country, I saw a country that is very poor financially but very rich in spirit. They do not appreciate wealth as United States citizens do, but instead appreciate love and gratitude. I noticed that Costa Ricans have very strong family values and cultural roots.

...hrow off the balance of the ecosystem. Different marine biodiversity requires different types of ways to conserve them, some need government and some do not. Depending on the different types of technology of public goods supplied, there are different ways to and different methods to preserve the marine biodiversity. We have looked at the different types of externalities that are associated with impure public goods (in this case marine biodiversity). We also looked at the three types of technology of public good supplies and see why it affects marine biodiversity. Lastly, we have discussed the incentives to conserve marine biodiversity, both private solutions and public solutions. To put it briefly, “wildlife exploitation and conservation involves various costs and benefits, which should all be taken into account to achieve an optimal outcome.” (Bulte, 1)

Do you love visiting the beautiful National Lakeshores? Hunting, fishing, and camping with friends and family? There have been bills passed around the United States of America on whether or not government should be allowed to sell Federal and National lands. But there has been conservative and sports groups that don’t agree with this bill and has stopped it from happening.
