A human doesn’t achieve anything without learning. Being born in a refugee camp in an underdeveloped country like Nepal, I wouldn’t be doing my best if I wouldn’t have learned about learning. My idea on learning has helped me in various aspects on changing my life. Despite of challenges and daily struggles, I have an enthusiastic soul which wants to learn. With the will of learning and get education, I regularly attended my primary and secondary schools while I was in Bhutanese refugee camp. Along with the idea to learn and be educated, I passed my every school year with distinction grades.
My enthusiasm in learning took me to participate in a lot of educating experiences. From childhood itself I have an idea to learn in every step. I passionately try my best to learn on making good environment where I live. When I was 10, I had a child-club led by me, where I used to let my friends and younger kids read books and enhance their creativities. Likewise, when I became around 15, I started learning about journalism. I start to learn writing reports by sending details about different ...
Many great minds believe that education is a powerful tool. Investing in your education is the most valuable and most rewarding thing a person can do to secure their future. Influential people who have brought positive changes to the world have said: “The investment in knowledge pays the best interest”. (Franklin). “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. (Nelson Mandela). “A brighter future starts with an education”. (Montgomery).
Learning is important for countless reasons, the most important reason being that it molds a person into who he or she is. What people choose to learn, and also what they choose not to, create the core of their opinions as individuals. Though people do not admit it or openly declare it, it is fair to say almost everyone is self centered. Because of this, and the fact that learning dramatically affects a person, learning is not only thrilling, but also expressive. Furthermore, since learning is expressive, its meaning varies from person to person, therefore making each person’s experiences with learning unique and life changing.
Education is extremely important and can be achieved in the most unexpected places. In "Homemade Education", Malcolm tells about his time in prison, where he taught himself how to read and write. Behind the bars, through the use of a dictionary and books he became literate. In this article he explains how one can change his or her lifestyle by the taking the advantage of the opportunities that are available. This relates to me because couple of years ago, I didn't know how to speak English, but I took an advantage of the opportunities I had to learn a whole different language.
Working to learn is why I am so dedicated to my studies now. If there is one thing I am known for among my family and friends, optimism would be it.... ... middle of paper ... ...
Throughout many years, education has played an important role in improving our minds and society. However, what many people tend to forget is that our education is not at the best it can be. Education is defined as receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university. Many people today questions whether or not our education depends on the people teaching it or if it’s the student’s responsibility to want to learn. "To what extent do our schools serve the goals of a true education?" Education helps people learn new things, but it can be changed. Although education helps students learn and plan for the future, it can be improved to help benefit students ahead of time.
I believe that learning is a journey that both child and educator set out on together. This journey is a privilege that I take seriously, realizing that a child’s early years are a key formative time in their life. I believe that it is during this time that important foundations are being set in place that will not only impact them in the present but will also influence them later on in life.
I have realized by watching my children learn and grow that every day is a learning experience. Each day they wake up ready for a new ch...
I believe that teaching and learning is both a science and an art, which requires the implementation of already determined rules. I see learning as the result of internal forces within the person student. I know that children differ in the way they learn and grow but I also know that all children can learn. Students’ increased understanding of their own experience is a legitimate form of knowledge. I will present my students with opportunities to develop the ability to meet personal knowledge.
Again, my passion is for every student to be successful and not be left behind because they aren’t receiving the instruction and assistance that they need. My passion is to keep my students engaged, I want my students to enjoy learning, therefore, I will find methods that will make my students want to strive for knowledge. Because of my caring and dedicated personality, I will assist my students so that every single one receives the help that they need in the most interesting way possible. I am interested in the different learning styles to improve the success of my students, the disciplines of interdisciplinary studies will help me do
My interest in teaching started at a young age. I used to watch my teachers in awe as they were able to find new ways to get their students involved and excited to learn. Their enthusiasm to teach was so inspiring. I would often find myself using that same fervor as I grasped each concept. I, then, was able to relay it to my fellow classmates as a peer tutor. To this day, becoming a teacher is a passion that flows through me. However, my enthusiasm and passion are not the only reasons I would be a good teacher. I aspire to see a student’s ability to grasp the knowledge they never before understood. I aspire to see a student succeed at something they never thought they ever could. I aspire to not only support students with academic skills, but also with life lessons about the value of community, pride in one’s own ethnicity, good citizenship, sportsmanship, and more. I aspire to play a fundamental role in ensuring that all students from all cultures and learning abilities have the opportunity to be guided in a positive learning
I think this is the way I learn best is through relation. However, I also learn that I connect really well with other’s feelings. I felt the little girl’s sadness when she was given too much realism. I shared in the excitement of a man starting a new job, especially one at a coffee shop. However, I also learned more about the teacher I would like to be. No matter what, I will always strive to save or help every child, even if it doesn’t matter in the end. I hope that aspect of me never changes. I care about people, especially when I have no just cause. I find these strengths within myself after only minimal observance. Imagine what further observations could depict. An article which spoke to my soul and summarized a mixture of feelings I had was “Courage” by Shirley A. Riddle Bendau. Throughout her narration, she depicts the discouragement and tiredness she feels over teaching. However, she realizes that she teaches for a reason, and that reason is because of “that moment when a student believes in himself…for the chance to speak honestly and listen openly while others do the same. I teach to become vulnerable, to be questioned and to question, to feel the sense of danger that comes with molding futures” (p. 96). Bendau ultimately summarizes everything I want to be, while opening my eyes to further things I need to
“Learning is the beginning of wealth. Learning is the beginning of health. Learning is the beginning of spirituality. Searching and learning is where the miracle process all begins.” – Jim Rohn
In a person’s life, they learn from everything around them, and take in everything that they see, and learn from all of it. Hopefully, they get a good result so that they may be able to make a difference in the world around them. I feel that I have to tools to make the changes that I want, and the knowledge to know how to make these changes. I look toward the future with a bright outlook, and know that to keep learning is the key to making my bright outlook the truth. For my future and the future of people younger and older than me, education will always be the key.
My time observing was not only educational for me on how to become the teacher I desire to be, but as well as how to better myself as a student and improve my own learning. I observed some wonderful learning tools that I have since implemented into my own education to develop my own learning.
Learning initially begins with one's attitude toward themselves, others, and the world we live in. It is our attitudes that play a major role in shaping our experiences, which in turn affects the way in which we learn. We must first be able to interpret the world using information we already know, in order to understand something entirely new. As a teacher, I could only hope that I can provide children with a positive educational experience, one that will broaden the scope in which they view themselves, others, and the world on a larger scale. Children already acquire a desire to learn, however, it is up to us to sti...
