Teachers should also know the right attitudes and values, besides being proficient in skills related to teaching. As we know the minimum requirement of any training programme is that it should help the trainee to acquire the basic skills and competencies of a good teacher. Now-a-days new trends in technical and vocational education are Inter-disciplinary Approach, Correspondence courses, orientation courses etc. Simulated Teaching, Micro Teaching, Programmed Instruction, Team Teaching are also used in technical and vocational education. In the United States, the history of Career and Technical Education evolved within four major periods. First, the Awakening period which began in 1776-1826, when the right to a free public education was expressed. During this era, educational opportunities in labor and industrial education were being demanded. The rising working class began to press for an education that were more appropriate for their labor and industry’s needs (Awakening 1776-1826, 1976). Even Benjamin Franklin who represented the Awakening middle class was on board with the rise of technical and vocational education which were taught primarily by private masters or contracted apprenticeships (Cohen, 1976).

Students are offered a more varied and concentrated areas of studies, preparing them with practical knowledge and relevant skills often coupled with specialized certificates to enter the workforce. Students in high school and beyond are able to acquire skills from knowledgeable educators in utilizing the traditional mode of instruction and practicum settings for acquisition of skills. The Career and Technical Education areas are recognized on a national level within all educational opportunities as a viable means for career readiness through which persons are supported by academic and technical achievement. In response to ensuring educational leadership for career based instruction, the Association for Career and Technical Education was formed on a national level.
For the teacher, computer technology can lead to more efficient time management in record keeping and developing lessons plans as well as the ease of conducting any kind of research and communication without having to leave the classroom.

Nelson Mandela once said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world (Strauss).” This quote is a representation of the most important characteristic among today’s society. The economy has developed a demand for a highly trained, educated and skilled workforce. Many jobs now require postsecondary schooling and complex levels of training in the field, in order to fill certain positions. A simple high school and college education is no longer enough.
The last, the future of the new technology’s existence in the educational system will not be optimistic. The authors discussed the new technology change and update fast, that could cause the negative effect to students and teachers. They still prefer to use the “old technology” in learning and teaching . I agree with their concept because China had a big problem about using technology, and I studied in China several years. In China, the understanding of the new technology is so ignorant because of the poor education, shortage of technology. In education, the teachers and students do not understand how to use the computer technology to improve their teaching and learning rapidly. In short, understanding of the new technology and application skills are more important to adjust educational system in developing countries.
