Take pride in how far you have come, and have faith in how far you can go. Remember that today, today is the first day of the rest of your life. In Job 23:11 the bible says “But He knows the way that I take;when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.” We have all had times in our life where we didn’t feel the best, thought we were the worst, and had just about decided to give up. Today, I am here to encourage you, I am here to build you up, and I am here to give us all a little bit of advice as we turn the pages to the next chapter of our lives. In Isaiah 40:31 it reads “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. None of us would find having a little bit of gold would we? But that's not exactly what Job is saying here. He is saying that no matter how hard the path is, no matter the trials and tribulations that he must go through, he is going to come out better than he was before. Isn’t that true for us today? We started out 13 years ago learning our ABC’s and 123’s but now some of us are doing Calculus and writing essay’s 4-6 pages long. In essence’ we have come a long way. But, how did we get here? Did we get here by doing hard work and hoping for the best, well, a little bit, but in all actuality, we got here by grace. Try never to be the smartest person in the room. If you are, find someone smarter, or go to a different room. Be kind to people. We live in a world where it’s uncommon to have kindness shown to us.
