After graduating from college, I have many goals that I wish to achieve. With my Bachelor’s degree in Criminology & Justice Studies, I look to become a part of Homeland Security. Being an agent in Homeland Security has been my dream since the beginning of my college career. This would be my way of serving my country within the place I felt was best. I loved how Homeland Security presented themselves, a powerful and respected group of leaders. While I have always taken my leadership with great pride, I knew I would be able to express my talents in this Department. Taking into account the long hours I would be spending working for Homeland Security, I knew I did not want to neglect the side of me that I had always thought about having when I grew up. …show more content…
After I am able to find a position within Homeland Security I would love to finally have the family of my own that I had wished for. During college, I was able to find the man that turned my world upside down. The reason I wake up every day and go to class or go to work, at the job I have now, is because of the family I aspire to have. Not only do I do this for myself but for my future husband and children. I want them to have a great life and never have to worry about not having something they need or questioning whether or not they will be able to go to college. The financial situation of going to college was questionable if my family could afford it or not. My parents never even thought that I would want to attend college so they did not have a college fund or anything set up for me. I knew that I could not let money get in the way of my dreams and goals I had for the rest of my life. I do not want my children to ever question if they can further their education and by setting these career goals for myself I am helping them plan for their
My biggest dream is become a doctor surgeon, be one of the best here in Laredo, Texas to help the people of my community, I will take being a Hispanic as an advantage to achieve all my goals because now is one of the best things that can passed to my
Halfway through dinner I decided to tell them. “That 's great baby, you know we support you no matter what,” says my Mom. As I bring out the numbers for college tuition, their faces seem to changed from excited to nervous. “I cannot afford that, honey,” says my Dad quietly, being unemployed then. That upset me because I was determined to follow my dreams.
fall through) Definatly Counter-Terrorist stuff. Active things, not a desk job. To do this I will need several years of College. Thats why I plan on being in the Marines a long time. Because I have a lot to prepare for. A lot of people have said I cannot
I have been blessed with a great life so far that has given me a great opportunity for education and I want to continue to pay back the debt that I owe for an opportunity like this. I feel that I will perpetually be in a field of service helping those who have little opportunity and access to help themselves.
I want to be a nurse, specifically a nurse practitioner. I have always been fascinated with the medical field and see a bright future in it for me. I have the opportunity of meeting new people every day with a variety of personalities. There is always something new to discover in this field. A nurse practitioner's job is to be able to diagnose and treat illnesses. They also prescribe medicine and run physical exams. I am highly interested in pursuing the career of a nurse practitioner because the healthcare field is always in need for medical professionals, it pays well, and I am helping people at the same time.
I want to be a nurse practitioner. I would like to be a nurse practitioner because, I could help people and I. I think when I am will still want to be a nurse. I want to go to college when I am older. I want people to smile because I helped them or their member in some way.
My career goal has always been to become an RN because I love helping people in every way possible and making them feel better. Becoming and RN will mean I get to do what I love every day. I know in order to accomplish my goal is to work hard to graduate from high school and go to college. Sometimes I feel like I'm not going to be able to make it but my brother proves me wrong by showing me so many ways I can achieve that
I have always been intrigued in movies that contained various aspects of law enforcement; one department in particular was the FBI. Since early on, I have come to the conclusion that I wanted to join, and be apart of the FBI workforce when I become older. As early as I can remember, I have always found interest within law and forensics. When I came to Bronx Leadership Academy, my freshman year, I was put into the forensics class which later opened my eyes into another realm, which immediately drew me in more into an area of law enforcement that I found very intriguing. While in my forensic class, my drive for wanting to learn more about the law, and the FBI became even stronger.

My entire life I always thought I would never go to college because I hated going to school every day. My school life was not ideal, it was full of people treating me like I am less of a person than everyone else. Little did I know that my now 2 year old would change my entire outlook on getting my degree and planning a career for myself. Colton, my son, has given me a reason to see a future in health care administration and to go back to school to obtain my goals as a clinical manager.
I never once in my life sat down with myself and really thought about what my parents had to go through and all the sacrifices they had to make in order to ensure that I have a better life and a brighter future. Thinking back now, the frustration I feel eats away at me constantly that I was not more thankful and did not do more to help. This is most definitely a lesson that is learned better late than never. Going forward now I have three main focuses for when I enter college, the first is undoubtedly God and my spiritual life, which forced me to have this revelation. The second focus has to be my family, which I appreciate and value more than ever now. The final focus I have, but certainly not the least, is to be successful in my endeavors throughout college. Seeing how much my parents cared for me by seeing them work as hard as they could just so my siblings and I could live a better life gives me all the motivation in the world to work as hard as I can to not only give back to them, but for my future children to live an even better life than I
Many years ago I remember my parents telling me that in order for me to become successful a college education was a must. They always told me that if I wasn’t in school I could no longer live at home. Both of my parents attended college but neither of them finished. They did not want me to go down that same road because they really regret not getting their degrees.
After graduation, I planned to relocate back to St. Louis, MO. Also, I planned to further my education, by getting my Master’s Degree at the University of Missouri St. Louis. After receiving my degree, I want to find a career in Child Welfare. In conclusion, I want to live happily ever after with a husband, a few kids, and an amazing career.
After years of struggling with money, I was now able to concentrate on something else. College being free meant the only worry I had was doing my best so I could graduate in the future and finally get out of the cycle of poverty I had envisioned myself in for the rest of my life. It was a weight off my shoulders that freed me to do anything I could dream of. My focus was on the future and I knew I would be served well by the lessons I learned throughout my life watching my

Family has always been a great part of my life, and I wish to be a loving husband and parent. I am also looking forward to raising my children in the Catholic faith.
