Monsters Inc. is a comical animated film regarding factory working monsters, who scare sleeping children in order to power their city. factory. His job alongside other scarers, is to enter various children’s bedrooms and frighten them as much as they can, in order to receive power in exchange for the child’s screams. The factory takes an excessive amount of safety precautions especially around the foreign children. One must not touch the children because their touch can be fatal, nor should they touch any of their belongings. However, one day after George had just walked out of his final door, his coworker noticed a child’s sock on George’s back. Immediately, he gasped and yelled, “2319” (Docter & Unkrich, 2001). Immediately everyone panicked and ran away from George, one monster is seen running towards a sizable red emergency button and pressed it. In a matter of seconds, about thirty swat like officers with the letters CDA(Child Detection Agency) broke in the factory. They ran towards George, tackled him down, and removed the small sock from his back. Once removed, they placed the sock on the floor and placed a circular plate over it. The plate was actually a small bomb used to completely vanish the child’s sock. Instantly, after the sock was bombed, everyone let out a sigh of relief. However, without any warning, the CDA officers grabbed George, placed a similar like shower drape over him and completely shaved all of his hair off in a matter of seconds. This scene here depicted how the company correctly handled its safety protocol, however it also

Bully (2001) is a movie based on a true story about a group of rebellious, yet naïve teens who conspire to exact ultimate revenge on a mutual friend. In a twist, unlike most, this movie highlights not only extent of bullying amongst peers, but details the ultimate revenge that would irrevocably change the lives of the entire group. The movie takes place in South Florida where Marty, a high school dropout, and Bobby are “alleged” best friends. As they set out to meet up with mutual friends Ali and Lisa for a double date the bully is immediately apparent as Bobby begins to verbally torment Marty, which quickly turns physical as he repeatedly punches Marty while he is driving for accidently swerving. Although, Marty stops the car and retaliates,
Inside out is one of my favorite Disney movies. Disney has figured out how to appeal to all age groups the movies’ content if fun and understanding for young children yet there are jokes and comments that adults can laugh at and enjoy as well. Their movies also have several levels of life lessons and stories. In Inside Out, children learn about different emotions and influences on personality while adults learn about emotional diversity and the intertwining of emotions that creates diversified humans. This movie was developed and produced with some of the top emotional researchers and contains several psychological elements such as belongingness theory, attachment style, cohesion and several aspects of roles.
The victim had planted his face into the back of a parked van while he was driving about seventy miles an hour without a helmet on his motorcycle. Janice was instructed to takeover bagging the patient from a firefighter who was already there. Bagging the patient was nearly impossible because of the severity of his injuries; every time Janice went to give him a breath, blood squirted out and covered her goggles, making it difficult for her to see what she was doing. A couple minutes later, Harry tried to intubate the patient but could not see anything he was doing due to massive amounts of blood, so Janice began to bag the patient again as Harry went and asked someone driving a pickup truck to give them a ride back to the helicopter, the driver, although startled from the accident hesitantly agreed to give them a ride back. While driving back after passing the county line into Santa Cruz, Harry asked the driver to pull over and he made an incision in the patient's neck, and put a trach tube in to ventilate the
The movie Psycho, is one of the most influential movie in Cinema history to date. The director Alfred Hitchcock, wanted to test many of the conventions of movie making that was common at that time. Alfred Hitchcock movie broke many cultural taboos and challenged the censors. Alfred Hitchcock showed a whole bunch of at the time absurd scene, for example: Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) dying naked while taking a shower, Norman Bates with split personality disorder, and the first ever flushing toilet shown in a movie. Because from the late 1920's to the late 1950's, movies were made usually go around the story, and usually with a lot dialogue. This movie gives the audience an experience that was much more emotional and intuitive. The viewers were caught up in a roller coaster of shock, surprise and suspense based on image, editing and sound.
Erikson’s Stages of Development was seen most widely in Freaks and Geeks. Whenever there is a mix of freshmen age children in with older adolescents, there is always that awkward stage. When I was in the 9th grade, the school system I was in was still utilizing the junior high school and we would not enter high school until the ninth grade. The year that Freaks and Geeks was to take place, I myself was in the 9th grade, so I sympathized with the show somewhat. Sam and Rory from Gilmore Girls had trust from their mothers, where on the other hand, Danny from geeks and Lane, from Gilmore, dealt with mistrust because of how their mothers were. Danny’s mother expected him to drop everything and get what she needed, even if that meant missing school, and Lane’s mother did not allow her to
At first glance, Pixar’s Inside Out seems to be your standard coming of age film. The film follows an 11-year-old girl, Riley who is forced to make a move from Minnesota to San Francisco with her parents. However, a deeper look at the film reveals how accurate it is to developmental psychology. The center of the story isn’t Riley and her family, but Riley’s primary emotions –Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust. The five emotions are personified as characters that control her mind as she transitions from childhood to adolescence and deals with the challenge of adjusting to a new place. Inside Out uses Riley and her emotions function as a demonstration of the relationship between emotion and cognition. In doing so, the film reveals several important questions about developmental psychology. Such as, how do emotions color our memories of the past and what is
...tightening people’s noses. The men try to tell him that hurts but The Tramp is blissfully unaware and simply crazy now. He chases after a woman trying to tighten her buttons. Once he is in the control room he starts switching on and off switches. This creates ciaos in the factory and machines start breaking down, catching on fire, and smoking. He is then whisked away to psychiatric hospital and treated. Falling into the machinery does show how dangerous factory’s workers lives were physically, but the effects he experiences after the machinery shows what the factory line did a person’s psyche. The Tramp believed he was part of the machine and couldn’t stop screwing. His brain was brainwashed into believing he was just a machine and nothing more. That is how so many of the factory employees were treated, because they are working for supply and demand.
