Martin Luther King Jr. was a great speaker who changed the fate of African Americans in the United States. King evoked many words and phrases to obtain his dream. Due to the sizable amount of the adversary, Dr. King exploited the use of charged words, or pathos, to his advantage. Nevertheless his use of pathos greatly exceeded the number of times he used logical evidence, or logos. Dr. King’s use of pathos stirred up emotions in every supporter, he had in his life, his “I Have A Dream” speech was the best example. Dr. King’s “I Have A Dream” speech uses his dream, his hopes, to convince his audience.
